OMG after 8 weeks of NOTHING
I finally saw the scales move this morning!!!!
I wanted to yell to tell everyone but no one was home
not only did my numbers go down but my middle number has changed

I ALL my Juddd Buddds for helping me get over this first hump

in the last 8 weeks 241 lbs
Finally this morning 239 lbs

January was a slow month...looking forward to a fabulous February! Goal: 218, exercise 5 days a week and reduce carbs.

2/1 - 227 - MD (Don't like to use an MD, but Superbowl just can't be a DD) - hip hop aerobics
2/2 - 224.9 - DD - 1 hour walk (with short stops to take photos and take in the views!)
2/3 - 223.4 - UD - That makes 50 pounds evicted!

Trying not to get dismayed by the scale. Sticking with tracking my food and had a successful 250 calorie DD yesterday. Tracking food on an UD is really eye-opening, I think I've been eating closer to 3000 calories instead of my 1900 allotted. So hopefully this helps! And my clothes feel looser so maybe my body is just catching up with the scale.

Flossyliz, I'll try but honestly I know the 3 evenings are "gonna" but I am willing to pay the price right after, LOL! I did this in December and Jan too!

Goal for Feb is below 160! It'll be some feat as I have 3 days wedding functions starting 21st, that means Indian banquets every day with lots of sweets!

2/1 - 164.8 DD 591 cal (-996 cal from exercise)
2/2 - 163.0 UD 1644 cal (- 818 cal from exercise, new low)
2/3 - 163.0 DD 496 cal (- 982 cal from exercise)
2/4 - 162.4 UD 1435 cal (New Low - a rest day, my legs were sore)
2/5 - 163.6 DD Don't like this big rebound (planned <500)


P.S. I my JUDDD Budds already!

Christina, thanks for the UP day calorie reminder, I just rechecked my figures too, UD cals are fine but DD 333! OMG! how am I going to do that! Especially when I burn 600-800 in exercise!

ignore the scale and keep on doing what you are. It will go down again. I gained and am still there after dd, too. No worries, the scale can only be mean so long when we are working the numbers right. It'll have to behave eventually!

Your not cool scale comment made me though!

What most JB's recommend is lighter exercise on DD's, I think. Also, try not to "eat" your exercise calories and stick to no or light exercise calculations. Plus, although treadmills and statistics for exercise (like Zumba, for example) say you've burned a certain amount of calories, they are often over-estimated.

Cindy, Thanks for the tip! I normally try not to eat back any of the cals but light exercise may be an idea (walking 4-5 miles instead of 8-9 miles). I jog or walk outdoors but like you say truly the burn is just a guesstimate given by a site I log my food into. JD

I use a heart rate monitor when I exercise, so I think my burn's fairly accurate. I still don't eat back the calories.

JD, yes, if you are walking 4-8 miles, you should probably use the light exercise recommendation. That is a little more calories, and you should probably have more. Truly, it takes time to see how your body works on JUDDD and you can adjust your calories higher or lower, depending on your goals. Cindy "Kissa" often says, "It's not a race", which is a good reminder for us all.
