Wed 2-20 246 DD This WOE is so S-L-O-W. I was under 500cal yesterday and still only lost .4? I only ate 400 calories.
Thurs 2-21 245.8 UD ate 1791 cal allowed 2376. And I still only lost .4?

Don't short yourself on UD cals Roberta! The spread between UD and DD cals is crucial to JUDDD's effectiveness. Plus, eating all (or near) your UD cals will make the next DD sooooo much more doable! You're doing great - please don't get discouraged. Many new JUDDDers don't lose any or a whole lot in the very beginning, but then start losing really well after several weeks or so. It'll be worth it!

Berta, I usuall gain after an UD-so minus .4 sounds good to me The fact that you lost after an UD is in itself, pretty great keep going...

Thanks so much I am trying not to be discouraged, guess I am just to impatient. I am trying to figure out How, if I eat that much on UD I won't be XTRA hungry on DD ? I struggle with overeating period or I wouldn't be where I am now.I am not giving up.I have made my mind up to try at least until April 24th as that is a year from when I began HCG.What is so important on JUDDD that we need to eat all the UD calories? I thought the book says you don't have to eat them all? So I was thinking the less I ate the more I would loose?

Yes, I probably should be thankful for a .4 loss. If I loose .4 everyday it adds up in the long run. I just have to stop getting in a hurry I guess

I know this is the hard part, but you just have to relax, and trust JUDDD. When you first try to wrap your head around it, it doesn't make sense. Just trust it. Give it time. Work it as closely as you can manage. I just know you're going to see some great results. This is NOT as fast as HCG, and it never will be, but......you do get to eat good stuff, in nice amounts, EOD.

I hope you've gone back and read lots and lots of old posts here. It will truly inspire you, and give you the confidence to believe this can work for you too!

For example, Berta, if you look at my weight loss at the beginning of this month, I was the same weight on Feb 5th as I was on Feb 1st. and I stuck with rotations during that time. It is kind of like a ladder that you go down a step, up a step, down a step and a half, up a step...does that make sense?

January was a slow month...looking forward to a fabulous February! Goal: 218, exercise 5 days a week and reduce carbs.

2/1 - 227 - MD (Don't like to use an MD, but Superbowl just can't be a DD) - hip hop aerobics
2/2 - 224.9 - DD - 1 hour walk (with short stops to take photos and take in the views!)
2/3 - 223.4 - UD - That makes 50 pounds evicted!
2/4 - 225.1 - DD
2/5 - 223.3 - UD - glow aerobics
2/6 - 225.0 - DD - cardio kickboxing
2/7 - 223.5 - UD
2/8 - 225.5 - DD - hip hop aerobics
2/9 - 223.6 - UD - slightly disappointed the scale isn't moving, but I know it's the increased exercise, so ... keep calm and carry on!
2/10 - 223.7 - DD - 20 minute walk
2/11 - 223.0 - UD - poorly planned, probably UUAD with I-don't-know-how-many-calories
2/12 - 226.6 - DD - and the resulting bounce. Glow Aerobics.
2/13 - 222-224?? - UD - Sometimes I can't get a consistent scale reading!
2/14 - 224.4 - UD - 2 UDs in a row so today and Sat. can be UDs.

2/16 - 222.6 - UD - exercise was lots of walking in the hills of San Francisco

Okay. I might not be eating up to my UD calories, which was my problem before. When I got home from work, my total calories for the day were a little over 1000 calories. I had to find ways to get my calories to 1953 and they're supposed to be at 1978 on an UD. I've not been tracking the UD and was thinking I was eating enough!

Great work going on here, although some of you are struggling with the bounce.

Eating up to your UD calories does seem whacky I know but it really is important on JUDDD. Vanilla found this before I remember.

If you have been JUDDDing for a while and after seeing good losses get stuck, some people do drop their UD cals, but only by a couple of hundred or so calories.

Thanks Sher! It actually isn't quite is dramatic as it looks. I went off JUDDD for a week with having company, and in that time, along with TOM, I was up 9 pounds. I didn't freak out, since I knew a lot of it was water. Maybe a couple of pounds of real fat. So I potato hacked for 3 days, and I believe it worked for me, and continued to for a day or so after I stopped and resumed JUDDD. Since then I've just been really concentrating on both my UD and DD cals, and have been mostly eating LC, but having a dessert in the evening. I don't know, it's working! Yet, in all honesty, I'm only 2 pounds lower than my previous low weight at the beginning of Feb.

I will say, I usually lose really well for a couple of weeks after TOM, and then slow down the rest of the month. So I'm at my good time right now.

I knew about that 9 pounds, but still, it is awesome how quickly you get it off. It iis so great to see that you can go off plan for life events, and then get right back on. woohoo!! JUDDD rocks!

You don't necessarily need to eat them ALL, but you need to get close. If you don't eat enough on the UD, then your body doesn't know that the "famine" of the DD is over, and it goes into a stress response, wanting to hold on to the weight. I followed my numbers almost exactly all the way through my JUDDD journey, and lost over 100 pounds doing it. Everyone needs to find what works for them, but please try it out without making too many changes too quickly. I think it will work for you, but you have to give it a chance.

Last two January weights were 188.6 after UD and 187.6 after DD.

2/1 ~ 189.4 ~ MD ~ Bit of a bounce from yesterday's weight...
2/2 ~ 190.0 ~ UD ~ Yesterday turned into a mid day when I had some chicken and rice at dinner when I was already done for the day, today is a new day!

Why? And I ask that in a supportive manner. I did not lose an ounce my first two weeks and I am at maintenance now. My advice has never changed. Patience. This is not a quick weightloss method for most. If you are wanting fast, there are plenty of fast ones. Stillman's or LCLF are the first two I can think of. Have used both in the past but I love JUDDD for the lack of restrictions. Except calories of course.
And during my WL journey my losses were a pound per week or less as an average but I have never tried to hide the fact that I did a LOT of UUAD's along the way.
It took me from January until October to reach my goal and I have maintained since then and am actually back in WLM since I lowered my goal.

It takes a lot of patience and reminders (to myself) to remember this. I *know* eating a full, sometimes overly full day of high calories eod is not going to make the lbs fly off. On the other hand, I'm only dieting eod. Thanks for this gentle reminder, Adi.
