Ended January 155.2. Goal for February is to at least see 149. I'm no longer overweight at 140 so that's my direction for the next couple months.

January was a slow month...looking forward to a fabulous February! Goal: 218, exercise 5 days a week and reduce carbs.

2/1 - 227 - MD (Don't like to use an MD, but Superbowl just can't be a DD) - hip hop aerobics
2/2 - 224.9 - DD - 1 hour walk (with short stops to take photos and take in the views!)
2/3 - 223.4 - UD - That makes 50 pounds evicted!
2/4 - 225.1 - DD
2/5 - 223.3 - UD - glow aerobics
2/6 - 225.0 - DD - cardio kickboxing
2/7 - 223.5 - UD
2/8 - 225.5 - DD - hip hop aerobics
2/9 - 223.6 - UD - slightly disappointed the scale isn't moving, but I know it's the increased exercise, so ... keep calm and carry on!
2/10 - 223.7 - DD - 20 minute walk
2/11 - 223.0 - UD

Yesterday was my first DD and calories calculated at 487. It was much harder than I thought not because I was hungry just because I knew I wasn't suppose to eat and that is all I thought about. It was 10am and I was already planning my first meal. I definitely need to find something to occupy my time but had a huge headache as well. I don't think I drank enough water. How much should I be drinking for the day?

Congrats on getting through the first one! They really do get much much easier, with an occasional hard one thrown in the mix.

I probably don't drink nearly enough water (it's one of my New Years Resolutions actually) but I think the recommended amount is something like 80 oz a day.

Hope everyone had a better weigh in than me!Although tomorrow will be my actual first weigh in!One week today and it's my DD.
I certainly didn't know Judddd would be up and down this much.I am shocked!And very dissapointed.
I'm thinking maybe I need to only weigh once a weekbecause it is so discouraging

tskb, drinking lots of water or tea or coffee or whatever (probably not soda or beer, LOL) helps, especially with DDs! Drink up! I always have a cup of hot tea at my side, especially on DDs.

Berta, that's part of the reason we have this daily weigh-in thread...because the bounces can mess with your mind, but others can look at them more objectively and see that you've lost three pounds this week!! That's awesome!!!

12 calories won't mess up your days, either up or down. It's just the bouncing that goes on. The bounces are a part of life on this WOE. It gets easier to take.

Some people stick at 500 calories, some go ahead and lower (if their 20% number is below 500, that is). For some people, their 20% number is above 500, so they might have gone up after the initial two weeks. Sticking with 500 is fine. I did that, it was just easier to remember. Now I often go way under, but I've been JUDDDing for a year now, no way I could do that in the beginning.

I can't speak to the MD, I never have done one. I never have changed my rotations in the year that I've been doing this.

Just relax, keep your rotations, it is coming off!!

Lia, SO sorry to hear you've been miserable with the flu. My DD has it now & is on day 4. Ridiculously horrible bug it is. Ignore the scale, it will come back down!!! I am just glad you're feeling better today!

Sherri, yes, DDs that aren't busy are rough! I had one yesterday, stuck at home with sick DD. I was happy at bedtime!

Berta, try not to get disappointed with the bounces. I know it's a pitb, but the trend is downward and that's all that matters! Just keep on going!

2/1 ~ 189.4 ~ MD ~ Bit of a bounce from yesterday's weight...
2/2 ~ 190.0 ~ UD ~ Yesterday turned into a mid day when I had some chicken and rice at dinner when I was already done for the day, today is a new day!
2/3 ~ 189.8 ~ DD ~ I'd saved about 1000 calories yesterday for going out to eat, ended up being chinese, ate alot, so who knows what my numbers were.. Today is a Coffee w/ HWC DD!
2/4 ~ 188.0 ~ UD ~ Total Body Workout
2/5 ~ 190.0 ~ DD ~ Hoping I wouldn't bounce that high...
2/6 ~ 189.8 ~ UD ~ just have to remember it's my cycle and I never can seem to lose during this period before tom.... Total Body Workout
2/7 ~ 191.0 ~ DD ~ Cardio Boot Camp
2/8 ~ 188.6 ~ UUAD ~ that's a bit better...

Beta, you COULD do this:
Monday MD(mid day)

Wednesday UD
Thurs DD

Some people have done this type of schdule successfully.
I do not think the 12 calories that you went over could have made you not lose, or gain
you are not a pig!! I always have a hard time on my UDs and DDs too. I am always hungry. But, it has gotten easier

My son is JUDDDDing with me and his calculator calories for DD at 20% say 670. So i guess some people do go above 500. Which makes it confusing for us

I wouldn't do a MD going into a DD. Just my opinion though. You want to be well fueled for your DD.

^^I didn't think about that. Maybe it is better to do a MD between 2 UDs? It is best to stick with straight rotations, but if you really really want Friday and Sunday to be UDS, you will have to experiment a little.

Think small, medium, large . . . DD/MD/UD. Others have done DD after MD and done well with it, but I wouldn't want to attempt it. I'd be a stark raving lunatic!
