I would not recommend it. It does not serve a purpose and there have been some in the past that tried it and it did not help with weightloss.

Guess that is why Dr. J suggested the in between day rather than 2 DD's in a row.

Last two January weights were 188.6 after UD and 187.6 after DD.

2/1 ~ 189.4 ~ MD ~ ??? ~ Net ???? ~ Bit of a bounce from yesterday's weight...
2/2 ~ 190.0 ~ UD ~ 2000'ish? ~ Net ??? ~ Yesterday turned into a mid day when I had some chicken and rice at dinner when I was already done for the day, today is a new day!
2/3 ~ 189.8 ~ DD ~ 411 ~ Net -1872 ~ I'd saved about 1000 calories yesterday for going out to eat, ended up being chinese, ate alot, so who knows what my numbers were.. Today is a Coffee w/ HWC DD!
2/4 ~ 188.0 ~ UD ~ 2185 ~ Net -674 ~ Total Body Workout
2/5 ~ 190.0 ~ DD ~ 465 ~ Net -1819 ~ Hoping I wouldn't bounce that high...

I wouldn't do two DDs in a row. You'd be setting yourself up for an uncomfortable couple of days, and it hasn't been shown to increase weight loss. Some actually stall doing multiple DDs.

I do 2-3 (sometimes 4) UDs in a row because I'm in maintenance and following 5:2 instead of regular JUDDD for now.

If it's just because you're not hungry on that 2nd day, add a little more oil to whatever you're cooking, or a salad. Add some nuts to a salad or dish. Little things can get your calories up
A little cream cheese and celery is a nice way to get an extra 100 or so calories without feeling too stuffed.

Why do you want to do 2 DDs? I've asked the same question before, because i had eaten too much on an UD. Also i just wondered if it would help speed up the weight loss. But the answer is that it is not beneficial. Remember it is OK not to eat all the way up to your numbers on an UD, just be sure to try to have 1000 to 1200 more than you had on your DD.

Started JUDDD today. Today is an DD so anxious to see how it goes. So far just water but need to stay busy because I find my self thinking about food. My plan is to have large salad with fish for dinner and during the day an apple. Wish me luck!

Welcome Sherri! We have all been there on that first DD. I felt mine was particularly hard right before bed. It helps to save a few calories for something right before bed. A good choice is a mug of some sort of broth or stock. Good luck, we are all pulling for you.

January was a slow month...looking forward to a fabulous February! Goal: 218, exercise 5 days a week and reduce carbs.

2/1 - 227 - MD (Don't like to use an MD, but Superbowl just can't be a DD) - hip hop aerobics
2/2 - 224.9 - DD - 1 hour walk (with short stops to take photos and take in the views!)
2/3 - 223.4 - UD - That makes 50 pounds evicted!
2/4 - 225.1 - DD
2/5 - 223.3 - UD - glow aerobics
2/6 - 225.0 - DD - cardio kickboxing
2/7 - 223.5 - UD
2/8 - 225.5 - DD - hip hop aerobics
2/9 - 223.6 - UD - slightly disappointed the scale isn't moving, but I know it's the increased exercise, so ... keep calm and carry on!

Welcome Sherri! DDs get easier as you build up SIRTS and many of us have less trouble with DDs than with UDs so if it feels hard just remind yourself that (in general) it gets easier with time and with more DDs under your belt.

If you want to, too of course... but as you have already read here, it seldom works in your favour. One danger is that come the UD you are ravenous and eat out of control.

2/4 ~ 230.0 (my first official weigh-in of the month, up 1.4 lbs from before we became sick and shut in)
2/5 ~ 229.6
2/6 ~ 227.4
2/7 ~ 227.4 (I am shocked I have not had a bounce up this week.)
2/8 ~ 228.4 (there it is)
2/9 ~ 225.6
2/10 ~ 226.4

I'm happy to see everyone's progress...keep up the good work..I seem to be back to where I was the first two weeks of Juddd..so..I'm trying to repeat what I did then...the scale seems to be stuck..so I know I have to stay with it...I may still be losing fat, although I can't tell it,...but I've been here long enough to know that I can't give up..the scale will move again..I just don't know when..I come here and read and learn and that keeps me encouraged...a couple of things I have learned about me is...it doesn't help me to do two dd's in a row..in fact..doing things like that may have hurt me...and not eating enough on the updays...there's a reason not to do those, for me, anyway.
