Need Advice - eating window while having company for a week?
Hey BUDDDs. I need to ask those of you who are doing, have done, or are even familiar with the eating window method some questions.
I'm having my aunt come stay with me for a week, starting next Sunday. I was going to try to keep up with my rotations, but after thinking about it, I think I may just try skipping breakfast and lunch and having dinner and maybe dessert each night she's here. I was wondering whether I would be messing that up if I had coffee w/HWC for breakfast each morning, since that would be outside of the 5 hour (Fast 5) to 8 hour window. I usually have 1 big mug with about an oz (100 calories) of HWC. I know I need to go research and read up on these plans, but it's pretty busy this week and I'm not sure I'll have much time to do that. Any input would be so welcome. Thanks guys!

I have never done the IF window eating strictly, but I tend to naturally do most of my eating with 8 hours or less.
Personally my guess is that you'd be fine with your coffee. What time do you drink it as a rule? And what time would you be eating dinner? I eat later that most in the US I think not until 8 or so most days. |

you might look into the Warrior diet for that week. the only thing I know about it is that you do all your eating at night-which would work for your plan, but I don't know about the morning coffee...

When I have a series of events or company for days, I "do my best" but will often adjust to an eating window similar to what you are doing. I also have just done maintenance JUDDDD - regular one day, 800-1200 cals the next. I also "do my best" to let go of any expectation of weightless during that time. It has worked so far.
Regarding HWC outside of the window - I don't think the calories are an issue, but for me, once I eat something, I get hungry, so I just try to wait as long as possible to eat anything for the day. Some people can take the HWC or CO in their coffee with no problem. Give it a try - you can always drop it if it's a problem. |

Isn't this the same idea as bullet-proof coffee? Some people doing SLD found they could have coffee with HWC and/or CO within a 2-hour taste-free window and it didn't affect their fat-burning, so I think it's worth a try. As long as you have only fat and no protein or carbs in your coffee, you should stay in fasting mode.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll try it with the coffee/HWC. It usually doesn't make me hungry, in fact it helps me go well into the afternoon on DDs. I might drink it anywhere from 7am to 10am, depending on the day. Cindy, I usually eat later too, around 7:30 or 8:00pm, but I'm not sure what the schedule will be with her. I think she's a late sleeper and early to bed lady! Flossy, I think you may be right, if all I consume is fat calories, it may not break the fast. I'm going to give it a whirl! Wish me luck!
