My goal reward ~ Meet Lily!

Okay, so I wasn't going to do it, but my heart melted when I met her. Meet Lily. She's a Great Dane/Mastiff mix and she's just over 8 weeks old. Her name is actually Lillebitte which roughly translates as Tiny. Get it?

She's going to be huge, and she's also my goal reward for getting less than huge!

You can't tell from the picture (she's exhausted from all the playing we did when I didn't think to get pictures!) but she has a white chin and a white star on her chest. She's so sweet and smells of lovely puppy breath.

Awwww...she is so cute...what a great gift...I'm happy for you..and I don't think there's anything in the world cuter than a brand new puppy...I would give anything to have a puppy...but..can't have one where I live now..Enjoy your new baby..

We do have Tempe still, or rather she has us! DH introduced the puppy to the other two, one at a time, while I was at the grocery store. I stress too much and have to remove myself from the mix. He said Tempe (GSD stray rescue) did really well but Tesha, our Boxer / Mastiff mix was a little neurotic and may take a few "introductions" before they're friendly. For now we're keeping the other two outside with garage access and Lily will sleep in the bathroom. After a few days they should all get along great.

Well she cried all night in the bathroom, so I brought her to bed with us at around 1:00 a.m. or so. She slept at my feet the rest of the night without any issue. We'll have to see how it goes from here. I don't think DH will be toooo happy if we have 3 large dogs in bed with us.
