My Pug sleeps under the blankets too but then he gets to hot and wants out
then he gets cold and wants back in and so on and so on...

I am not sure who is having more "hot flashes" him or me

Her eyes are a deep brown, but almost every picture I have of her they look blue from the flash.

We have an adult boxer/mastiff mix and Lily is nearly as tall as she is already. You're right about her being all legs. She's so cute and floppy when she runs. Not a graceful bone in her body yet.

Lily is 4 months old now, and 55.5 pounds!

Here are new pictures, but she got spayed today, so she's groggy and sad.

She is just gorgeous! It's so hard to take them to have procedures done ... don't you wish you could explain it to them? I'm sure she's glad to be back home!

Dawn, she is just beautiful!!!! Aren't we lucky to be able to share this beautiful blue planet with such amazing creatures? I am thankful every day for our little Kasey; a half - tail cat that we needed more than he needed us.

Have fun enjoying that beautiful puppy; and big dogs are the only way to go!~

Your dog is adorable and you'll enjoy so many good walks together and heartfelt companionship. (My DH is very much a dog person but we live in such a built-up area that we wouldn't contemplate having one as it wouldn't be fair to the dog.)

Dawn-re: the diet and growing too fast.....I. too, have a large breed, and when he was a pup the advice was to feed him adult dog food, not puppy, because it would make his growth rate a bit slower.......which for large breeds is better. He could eat the amount he wanted, but the proportions of nutrients are different in puppy food and it encourages quick growth. OK when you're a dachshund, not so good if you're gonna be HUGE!

No more from the vet, but I didn't get home until they were closed already. I'll try to call today. Other than spaying or neutering, I NEVER alter my dogs. My Rottie's have all had their tails. My Boxer/Mastiff mix has her ears intact (though, sadly, her tail was docked at birth, before I had ever met her). I love them just the way they are!!

We were given the same advice when we got her, and she's been on adult food since she came home. All three dogs eat out of a self-feeder and we've never had a dog with a weight issue. Even Tempe, who was starving when we took her in, now eats out of the self-feeder to satisfaction, and stays at a perfect weight. Don't we all wish we could do that?

I don't mind taking away the self-feeder and doing meals. The only problem with that is that I just don't know what a healthy amount to feed her is. I will call the vet this afternoon.
