Wear a ? challenge April 5th, 2013. Who's with me?

LG's dress thread has had me nostalgic, and thinking about the days when i loved to wear dresses. I miss those days, I miss feeling pretty, and girly. I want to feel that way again. I have a dress, and I want to wear it-and I want to wear it soon(but not too soon).
It's not a beautiful or sexy dress, it's a safe, put my toes in the water dress. I've never worn it, as a matter of fact, it is 1 of the only 3 dresses I own, because, since I haven't worn a dress in several years, I've gotten rid of them all. This one was on sale for $15 at Ross, so that's why I have it. The other 2 I own because I want to wear them again someday. 1 is a church dress and the other is a date night dress.
So, I picked April the 5 th to wear the dress, because April the 5th is National Take a Chance Day(it really is!). It is almost 3 months away.
I'm challenging myself. Does anyone else want to challenge themselves? And it doesn't have to be a dress, it can be anything you want it to be.
Who's with me??

Mhhh let me think what I have in my drawer.... Oh yes, I have a very cool long shirt, which doesn't look cool on me right now because it is a bit thight around my butt and my belly area. But who knows might look cool on April 5th.

Hmmm ... I am already wearing clothing about as far out as I can and still remain a teensy bit age-appropriate ... but, there ought to be something I can throw into the 'never thought I'd try this' pot.

I'm in-I'd love to be able to wear a bikini by then But seriously, a dress sounds more feasible I did just pick up a size 7/8 dress at GW yesterday and I haven't even taken it out of the bag yet. It's a stretchy material so it may fit now but if it doesn't that will be my goal for April. If it does already fit, then I'll have to do some shopping to find one to use as incentive

By April 5, I would like to be comfortable wearing my size 6 jeans with a short sleeve t-shirt tucked in at the waist...without any muffin top!

Also Easter Sunday is on March 31st, and I have a size 6 dress that I plan to wear that's been collecting dust in my closet for the last few years.

By April 5th I want to fit into my smallest clothes which right now are still a bit snug. I'll forget about the few size 2Ps, but hopefully I'll be in most of the 4Ps by then! Right now I'm wearing many of the 6Ps.

I just received a pair of jeans that I ordered on line, tried them on & they come about mid-thigh & stop! I don't know how good they'll look on me by April 5th, but I'd like to at least get them all the way up over my big butt!

Im thinking it would be neat too, if we posted pictures of ourselves that day too, in our challenge clothes. Im going to, it will motivate me more to know I have to do that.

Yay! Great thread Tex. I have a size 14 jeans that I never got rid of because I loved them. Let's see if that's feasible by April 5th. Plus my birthday is April 1st (appropriate? ).

awww, great challenge tex! I think I am going to Disney that week, though. My boys are marching in Disney over spring break and are leaving on Easter. I just went through my closet yesterday and found all my shorts/capris that are a bit too small. My goal is to fit in to them by Easter so I have them if we do indeed go to watch.

By April 5th I would LOVE to be able to wear size 6 jeans, something I never in my life would have ever DREAMED of being able to do. (When I was a teenager I wore between a 16 and an 18 all throughout middle and high school). I'm between a size 8 and 10 right now.

Me too, this is awesome.
The summer I got pregnant, I bought myself some very nice white breeches & New wool coat for showing my horse dressage. I wore them once.
I'd like those to fit in such a fashion that I could actually ride in them without popping a button or splitting a seam.
Right now I can get the jacket on but its tight & about 3" from buttoning. Last time I tried on the pants, I could not get them past mid-thigh.

I don't know about how cute I'll be at my age, but I'll be happy if I'm comfortable. I like that idea of us taking an after photo too. I'm also thinking of maybe taking a before photo for motivation - that's only if I can squeeze my big butt in them at my current weight and if I can tuck a t-shirt in at all.

Thanks Cindy, but from the rear view I've got at least 10 lbs. and 6 inches that I still need to get off from my butt & saddle bags, before I feel comfortable enough to go out in public wearing this favorite pair of size 6 spandex jeans.
