I haven't, and won't, try my challenge clothes on recently because I know I'm not there yet. However, I wore a size 10 jeans for the first time the other day. They're a little snug - like wear a baggy top snug - but not to inappropriate that I could not go out into public. As long as I had a looser shirt on (which I did). I also was looking in the mirror after a shower and finally felt like I see a difference. Need to do some measurements since I look at those as well just been working so much I haven't had time. So incredibly motivating!!

I would love to join

I have a brand new pair of UK size 16 jeans sitting upstairs that I would love to be able to zip up by April 5th. I first tried them on in late December, so only a few lbs lighter than I am right now, and they did fit pretty ok (thighs, butt and hips) but my belly was way too big and therefore I could not do the zip up one tiny bit . I haven't bothered to try them on again since so the next time will be April 5th.

New wearable goal.
my decade-younger sister gave me a big load of her fat post-baby clothes she got too thin to wear. Sigh. She is three inches taller than me but our legs are the same length.
I cannot fasten two pairs of the size ten jeans.
Since I mostly wear dresses, my fit goal is to be able to wear at least one of those pairs of jeans. The other pair may just be too low for me, but I want to be able to reject them based on style not size.
May I mention how horrific it is to be too big for her fat pants?

Ug, both my sisters are somewhere between a size 0-4. Beautiful, young, fit girls and I love them both but family photos, or photos of us 3 girls...not my favorite past time.

Can I join? I have a purple wrap dress I'd like to fit into. I can get into it alright but it clings in all the wrong places and I don't think I could sit down or use my arms I'm not weighing myself so my clothes sizes will be my goals

Monica-- are you drinking water? drink lots, b/c exercise causes muscles to retain water (as they have tiny rips from the exercise, rebuild and repair and that's how they get toned)... drinking water lets your body know it doesn't have to hang on.

I have my dress in mind on each UD and DD, and it's quite motivating. I *want* to wear it in April, but for sure in May when I'm a presenter at our user conference... Everything I do now is in effort to look my best at this shebang (we expect 5000 ppl, my room holds 300, which is 50% more than it did last year).

So part of my preparation is trying to look the best I can, and then, ya know... the stuff I say

S.

I am very very impressed! You are going to speak in front of 5000 people, you rock! I was curious what type of company is it? Software? just curious, you don't have to share if not comfortable

I'm happy to share, and should clarify-- I'm only speaking in a room that holds 300 but there will be 5000 at the conference, and I'm actually doing 2 sessions, plus 2 days prior to the conference of "pre-conference training" for about maybe 20 in the class?

I work at a software company, we do business-management software in the cloud (google netsuite if you want to see a bit more, it is pretty cool)... I started here 8yrs ago as a Trainer, and now, I don't do customer training anymore, but am a manager in the same dept, and I work with our internals as well as our partners.

Of course, my conference appearance has nothing to do with what I do on a day-to-day basis-- I'm passionate about one specific part of our software, so I'm helping in that "track", doing an overview session of our CRM area, then a session on best practices for customer support... and I helped our product manager figure out the topics for the 12 sessions we're responsible for overall

it's nice to love what you do, eh?

Sher, Please, count me in too! Couple of weeks ago, I just couldn't resist buying a small size black and red tunic to go with my black leggings. Even though it was really snug and hugged the wrong places. I tried it on today, still the same! April would be great target as I want to wear it when I board the plane to go on vacation!

I am not confident of getting to this mini goal. I am still not in most of my 16's, and have one pair of 18 jeans that I can't button yet. I will get there, though!

This made me LOL because, when we ride (see my goal) we wear tight, white pants and shirts with black wool coats over top. Seriously though - white around horses? In a female predominated sport? Who thought this was a good idea???
But I digress. Anyway, I always talked about stuffing myself into my sausage casing when it was time to go get dressed to ride. And the heavier I got, the worse it got because do you think I was going to go spend $200 on new tight, white pants when I had several pairs that were serviceable if I could just put down the damn donut? (A lot of internally directed angst...)
On the way home from the barn, I used to sometimes stop at "normal" places like WalMart or the grocery store in my breeches and tall boots. Got some very funny looks. We all joke how, this fall, since the "faux-equestrian" look is very in, its not socially acceptable to wear these clothes in public. Friends have been stopped and asked where they got their pants (um, at the tack store?!). I guess the fact that we stink like horses isn't a turn off.

Still no weight loss, I am drinking over 2 liters of water a day and staying on plan, and still exercising. I feel bloated and physically do not feel like I have lost 1 inch. I hope I hit my February weightloss goal of 235 but I don't know - there is not much time left and I am at 240 today! Hopefully, March will be better

Hope everyone else is having success! I'm not giving up.

You have plenty of time left! Don't give up!!

I tried on a pair of size 4 jeans yesterday and I almost look presentable in them...just a few more lbs!! I have not tried on the blue shirt yet but I will soon just to see how it looks.
