Yea, my old man has for almost 37 yrs. - since we met at 17 and I've always had an hour glass shape. Plus the grandkids like that my lap is wide enough to hold a couple of them at a time.

Very cute dress! Its not possible to take a family friendly BEFORE picture of the pants right now but after my son goes to bed, I'll put on the jacket and do a before.

Um, yeah, right now the 4Ps would not be family friendly and not sure LCF would appreciate the amount of flab that would show in the skirt or slacks so we will just need to wait for the after pic when I'm nicely covered by actually being able to zip the 4s.

This is a photo of the dress I want to wear on Easter Sunday in a size 6. Along with a photo of me 2.5 yrs. ago at 160 lbs. wearing the same dress in a size 10. I had first bought the smaller size with the goal of losing 25 lbs. to fit in it for a June wedding. But when that didn't happen, I fortunately found the larger size on clearance at T.J. Maxx for $8 and wore that instead. Ever since then the size 6 dress has been collecting dust in my closet.

I'd like to join in, but since I haven't been losing pounds or inches for a while, I'm saying that I'd like to be wearing 10 pound (rather than 8 pound) dumbbells in my resistence training workouts by April 5 (rather than a smaller size of clothing, though that would be great, also). The one thing I know that is changing on my body is that my arms are getting stronger (and a bit less flabby), and that's a motivation to keep up my strength training workouts every other day.

I would like to join this challenge. I bought an adorable dress at the beginning of January (2 sizes too small) as motivation to lose weight - it's not a sexy dress, it's actually a casual work dress, April 5 seems like a good goal day. I'm going to see if it will go on at all tonight and take a picture and then see how it fits on April 5.

In the consideration of full disclosure, I am considering changing my goal dress to something more challenging. The current goal dress already fits, but I would never wear it in public right now because I don't like the way my legs look. I think I need to have something smaller as my goal to keep me motivated and more active in trying to lose weight. If I know I'm obligated to wear something that is too small for me now, it will help me try harder. Like start working out, which I really really, REALLY need to do!

I'm going to also look for a dress (maybe) that I might fit into by then. My hips are 45.5, waist 35.5 now. I wonder what they might be, realistically, by then? I started at 39, 49, but that was 4 months ago. Hmmm...might be 33, 43 by then? What size is that?

ETA: According to modcloth sizing chart, it's still an XL. I don't want to purchase anything new at full price in that size.

On Dec 12, we had a health screening at work and I just realized they recorded my measurements. My measurements at that time were hips 44.5 and waist 34.5. My pants size at that time was a ver tight)12 to 16 depending on the brand. In have NO idea what that converts to a dress though.
I'm still not committed to this new dress, it is form fitting and sleeveless, yikes

The more the merrier! This is going to be fun. I even changed my stats to reflect my goal size for motivation, instead of weight. I'm so relieved not to be living and dying over the number on the damn scale anymore!

I tried my dress on last night, it was very tight and I could barely get the belt around me, I had to suck in and hold my breath while I took the picture - the belt was really tight and hurting. We will see what happens on April 5!

Thanks Tex! This just convinces me that the number on the scale is a big fat deceiver!
My plan is to continue exercising to firm up my flab, and make this the year that I dare to go sleeveless.

I'm also considering converting to the 5:2 IF plan too.
