from what I have read, woman don't bulk up the muscle mass as easily as men. and even then you will have to do massive lifting to rip and heal the muscle for it to get bigger. I have notice a lot of mass in the calves after working them out...water expansion I am guessing, but it goes away.

just standing calve raises... 3 sets of 50...a couple minute breaks in between. I can tell my calves have a fat problem because I can see cellulite. so I am guessing working the calves muscle is toning them, and in return the fat that is slowly moving out is giving the remaining fat area to squish...hehe. but I have been doing squats every other day so a I must be toning the legs. and with losing the weight things are smaller. but the cellulite on the back of my legs are really bad now. I guess because the fat stretched the skin so although my legs were large, the cellulite did seem that bad.

Thanks kgirl. I also found some good exercises for the legs. If you want to look at them Google 'the Sun's diet saggy legs'. I think cycling would be real good too.

I am thinking the leg work is helping to lose inches...but not doing much for the sagginess or the unbelievable amounts of cellulite that looks as though is just getting bigger and traveling to places I thought it never was...oh well may never be able to wear a bathing suite without a cover-up, but at least I wont feel like beach whale. and as for scaring kids...my grandson said to me last summer " something looks really bad on your legs". I thought I has dirt on it...he said no...its that...and pointed to my cellulite...with a scared , gross look on his face. kind of like the face he makes when his baby sister has her poopy diaper changed.

OUCH! When we were kids, my baby brother was maybe 3 or 4 and told my mom her legs were "sloshy". Kids and their honesty is just so cute, isn't it?

Wow, I had kind of forgotten about it! (Denial.) I will definitely try on my jeans. There will definitely NOT be any photos posted, as I know they won't fit. But if I can get them up over my hips, then I'm getting closer!

I was fitting comfortably in my goal size 6 jeans, until I regained 5 pounds over Easter weekend!

Worse yet, so far all this week I've been struggling to get through even one fasting day without over eating in the evening.

I'm attempting to do another fasting day today, before I dare try to squeeze my bloated belly into that too tight size 6 pair of jeans tomorrow.

Best wishes everyone in reaching your goals!

Ann

Ann, I had a 5 day Easter binge! And I found after missing 2 DDs it was extremely hard to do a DD-so yesterday I did it! I think I might have been close to 600 calories, but it is amazing how mising a couple can throw you right back to thinking about food all day(at least for me)

This morning, I figured out why as of last Friday evening I had been blowing all my fasting days, because I started over eating in the evening by snacking while watching TV. The trigger being that Friday my hubby and I had moved from our bedroom on the second floor into our new first floor bedroom. Prior to that we would go upstairs to our bedroom in the evening to watch TV, without bringing food up with us to snack on. But since our bedroom is now downstairs and we have yet to move our TV in there (waiting for cable hookup), we've been watching TV in the family room across from the kitchen.

So now that I know, I'm hoping that it will help me return to not snacking in the evening, by making sure I only eat in an 8 hr. window - that ends after dinner by 8:00 pm.

Sorry for the long post, but if I gain nothing else from this past week and I can get back to fasting successfully again...then I learned an important life lesson in figuring out what triggers my over eating and come up with a way to hopefully resolve it.

There's no point in beating myself up over it, and give up totally on fasting after falling off the wagon this week. If I can't fit comfortably back in my goal jeans tomorrow, then I will again by the end of the month.

I opted not to play this time, since I went into maintenance in January, but I'm rooting for the rest of you, and can't wait to see pictures!

Why not? Dawn, you've lost 7 lbs. since going into maintenance, and are now wearing size 8 jeans!

So what's wrong with exceeding your goals?

You overachiever!

Overachievers are individuals who "perform better or achieve more success than expected."

Hey guys, I tried my top a week ago and it fitted really well and going to try it again tomorrow just to see how comfortable it is now! I was going to wear it on the plane tomorrow but decided on a another one as this one is chiffon with lining and might not be comfortable while sleeping during flight! Now the challenge for me will be whether I can still fit into it when I come back at the end of April!

Best of luck to all of you!

I'm in that awkward place at the small end of the women's/plus sizes, nearly (but not quite) ready for the large end of the regular sizes.

I've been shopping and shopping for a dress, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of not-too-fancy spring dresses made in my size in the first place, and to find a cute one with enough of a sleeve for me (sleeveless/short sleeve not an option yet) is eluding me. I've been online shopping too, but still not finding much with sleeves, plus I'm a tricky fit so that tends to involve lots of returns. So no dress; however, I will take a pic in my newest and smallest pants and shirt.

I'm so with you, Christina! I'm right in that same awkward place. And the sleeves...YES! I just can't bring myself to show my fatty fat fat arms. I wouldn't subject everyone else to that. Even some of the short sleeved tops I've gotten in smaller sizes, which fit great everywhere else, show a little too much arm for my taste. We're getting closer to "normal" sizes though! How cool is that???

Fantastic, Carly!!!!

I took some pictures but they seem to emphasize my "problem" areas more than they celebrate the fact that I'm in a 14. Think I'll hold off a little longer before posting a picture.
