My experience with the down day (dd) Freezies in the swimming pool
Yesterday was my second true aquasize class.
And it was a down day for me. Let's see being in lukewarm water and low food intake in my body, what could that mean to a Juddder? Not pretty right? Well my class is at noon. My route is 30 mins away since I pick up a friend on my way to the gym. I was having a little Had buzz getting ready to leave the house. So kept eating until 10:30am. Fast drive by on my teeth an out the door I went. My brfst was 1/2 cup of full fat cottage, left over canned asparagus, just a dab. I added only a few bites of R. chicken thinking to help with the coldness in the pool. All 200 cal. A lot huh for me so early in the day. BUT! IT went great! I did take a extra big towel this time to set by the pool on existing and my pretty green flip flops. So I didn't have to touch the cold concrete..very helpful. I even forgot to stand under the hair dryer in the locker room. It dawned on me that I wasn't cold, wonderful feeling. WE did the deep end of the pool w/o, a great great Ab and lung w/o. Im so hooked n the aquatic exercise. More good news....... When I got home I was very thirsty. So downed two classes of diet coke. Read and rested for a spell caz I was tired-refreshed all at the same time! I didn't need to eat anything until dinner. NO JOKE! 7 ish pm. 200 cal keep me all day! Ended up total of 517 cal- perfect food dd! My first dd without broth,,,, I didn't miss it either. This goes to show me I need to experiment more with making it thru success a dd, and up! Like others of my buds do. I hope this is readable, I needed to share my findings with my buds. On with my controlled UD calorie day. No stomach rumbles yet, so will go with that. I choose to l leave a mad sleeping dog lye. Not wake it until need to eat. GOOD DAY EVERYBODY Happy Dawn called wt. goal day! Terri |
That's great Terri! I'm still not comfortable enough to wear a swim suit with all the hard-bodies at the gym, and I really admire you for doing that class. Awesome DD!

The thought of a like warm pool sends shivers through my body (it's DD here w/ wind chill of -17!) I'm thrilled that you had a good DD and experimented a bit. I'm also thrilled that you have the confidence to rock that swim suit- I'll keep praying on that. |
OH NO!
I forgot my swim suite part. I ware my running clothes. Long polyester leggings, and tank top...it's warmer I do believe. One of my friends is doing this as well. Not my clothes ha... We got her set up in her own running outfit to swim in. She looks so cute! u dont have to be a runner to wear the clothes! We love the coverage and it sure helps with playing like a kid fun! |
:hyst::rofl:You crack me up! Your posts are like a warm ray of sunshine on a cloudy frigid day. Thanks! :D
P.S. You've got to post a photo for us to see this for ourselves! Quote:

I second SlimNana! We need a pic of this cute legging/tank-top swim gear! :D
I have been doing a mini workout in the morning at home just to get blood flowing and it seems to keep me warmer on DD. It is a medicine ball workout with some core stuff and squats, etc. Take about 10-15min and it is making me sore! But, I like that it seems to keep me warmer, at least in the morning hours. Great job on the water classes. Keep us updated on how they are going! |
Ei I love that image of you in the pool in running gear, brilliant idea.
I don't think I can call you Terri, you are my Eieio, bringing of laughter and love. So glad you had a great DD. |
Eieio . . . . makes me smile every time I read that name!
Feel like a kid again. . . . all that mooing and quacking about. . . . yes, eieio for me too! |
Funny u ask for pic... my two friends that I pool with we're talking about a before pic and after....no one wants to be in the before pic.
So who will that work! They are a hoot. I'll get a pic for sure. But posting it, that's a problem. I did finally open up a account with iCloud, u think that I'll help me post here? |
