I agree. If you've been on very low calorie, your body has to get out of starvation mode first.

I didn't lose anything in the beginning and my loss has only been 1lb per week since then. But I'm a completely different shape than when I started and I don't exercise. JUDDD is very different from normal weight-loss programmes. It does require patience but the health benefits are worth it - and you can keep them for life with this WOE.

Just do it as prescribed for a month to start with. If 500 cal DDs are easy for you, then you could look at dropping them. It's important to eat up to your UD allowance.

I weighed today, after an UD (yikes!), and this is the first bounce I've seen. I only bounced a pound up, but at least I saw movement on the scale. That was a first!
Today is a DD and I'm going to TRY to eat as little as possible. I'll stick to hot tea til Dinner and then have a can of vegetable soup. I'm not hungry this morning either.

hi Tay, I hope the scale will go down for you.
When I first tried juddd last spring, I didn't loos at all. I was happy to just maintain, I was 20 pounds less then I'm now. Then I went travelling and whoops I'm back up... sucks big time, but there is juddd and I believe in it, and will hellp us both!

Not really long about 6 weeks or so. I also didn't counted my ud cals, and I'm pretty sure I was eating too much....and I started to add carbs back in. Guess that was all a factor.
Our bodies need time to adjust to changes, once he realises what's going the weight will come down. We just need to believe and there is too much proof on this board!

Update! I have lost 2.4 lbs!
I'm not doing strict rotations, but am fasting some days. It's working, so I'm not changing a thing. I'm staying away from alot of carbs to curb hunger and the chance of bingeing. Sugar is evil ! LOL I've added lots of fiber in my diet also so I feel full longer. I'm going to "get this" if it kills me! hahaha

I'm happy to report that I had a whoosh this morning that brought me down to my January 8 low of 179 again, after about 3 weeks of bouncing up to 183. I'm (regretfully) not doing exercise other than walking for a while, making sure that I get lots of sleep, keeping my down days as low as possible, and doing a JUDDD-style fat fast for a few days (mostly high fat food, but keeping within my calorie limits), since those things seem to have finally convinced the scale to drop a bit.

It was immensely helpful to hear that I wasn't alone in stalling on JUDDD and immensely helpful to get the support and good wishes of others here. You all really helped me not give up.
