Loving the aqua class. Yesterday was our first real class
My friends love it too!
The age group of people are age 57 up to 88 years young. 7 participants in our noon class, all gals so far. All was going well until the instructor said to swim- float - get down to the other end of the pool. And reach up the short dive platforms and do pull ups. No biggy right? To one with normal knees - no biggy. So off took every body but me. My knees don't swim yet. they hate the jar or the movement. I had float belt, and paddle board. Slug mode I go. So by the time I get the the detestation ALL the gals are finished with their pulls up and are heading back to other end of pool. ![]() It's still funny today. Smile. When telling my hubby this morning about it. he said I imagine u did a better pull up than any of others when u did get there to ur pull ups. There is another example of when I fall in love all over with this guy. I really didn't notice how well the of guys executed their pull ups. I was focused on dragging my lower body down to the bar....Yikes. It's all good! |

Sounds like a good class! It's all movement, and movement is good, even if you couldn't go fast. You'll get there!
I used to teach water aerobics at the YMCA. It's a great workout, and really good for people with knee problems (I have them too). Good for you! |

Sounds good Ei! You're knees will only get stronger. I think it's great that you see humor in that whole situation. Everyone is just doing what they can do, and it sounds like a great, supportive group.

Yes I plan to NOT do that again.
i was plumb tried when I tried to pull up. Only did a few and then went back to my handicap drag so they won't have to wait, hold up the class. I'm hooked on doing the wts in the water. Same as done on land, only no added wt. on my legs. I've scuba several years ago. I won't wanted my dive master to be there to see me....ok now I'm depressed! Teasing. Good day |
