today! Not having school yesterday either, because of MLK day, didn't help-two days in a row of being cooped up is making us all ![]() I might brave the cold and take us all to the library this afternoon-they have a play area to give my kids something to do and I can play online there ![]() |

Sara, yep! I feel your pain! My kids had Friday & Monday off, now today. It's a bit easier b/c my boys are teens & my DD is 9, so not as bad these days. I think I'll take advantage of us all being home bound & make my 16yo do some of his homework due later this week. He is such a procrastinator!

I had yesterday off and back at work today. Flutter, I didn't know you guys cancelled school due to temps! We are in the 40s today all day, which is unusual in S.C.
Thinking about making a chicken curry/coconut soup for dinner, and add spinach to it. Trying to eat healthier on UD's. |

LG, I was born here and we never used to close for "extreme" temps. We had alot more of them back then, too! DH told me it was -6 actual temp according to the car thermometer on his way to work. Not sure what that makes adding windchill in, but it was darned cold! I personally think it's just b/c it's another not snowy winter here and the districts have snow days to use.
When it's snowy winters & they've used a bunch, we can have super cold air PLUS icky roads and they won't close. Of course, that's JMO! ![]()

Also Grand Rapids public, the big one around here, was open today-again, lots and lots of walkers. If I was a parent of a walker and I didn't have a way to drive my kids to school this morning, I so would have called them in today. My mil had 7 kids missing from her class today! |

I'm at around 1600 now...calculated 1490, but I sure didn't measure all the cream in my coffee so I'll add some.
Chili on the stove, but no appetite for it. I think I need some more Prilosec (ran out a week ago)...have that full, yucky feeling in the back of my throat. |
