First DD: check!
It was easier than I had hoped, of course, I "cheated". I don't know if its full blown flu but I've had fevers on & off all day. Sure is an appetite killer but I'm not going to use that as an excuse. I'm sticking with it and I'll take the advantage of an appetite killer.
My DD cals, according to the calculator, are meant to be 443. I came in at 410 using some chicken broth, a chocolate peanut butter protein shake & 2 cheese sticks. Excited for tomorrow, but worried my appetite won't be there to hit my UD goals of 2228. Keep on keepin' on! --> My new motto! |

Congrats!
And yeah, UDs are sometimes a lot tougher than DDs (at least for me) so I feel your pain. Some advice I got from others here is to have some yummy high cal foods on hand like nuts or peanutbutter. Or go wild with cream and sugar in your coffee if you're into that. (I totally am!) (: High five and best of luck to you! |

Yennie, I hope you feel better soon. You did great sticking to your DD.
You don't have to eat all your DD calories at all. If you are happy eating less on them you will almost certainly lose more quickly. But JUDDD shouldn't be a miserable way to live. On your UDs you are advised to eat up to your limit especially at the beginning, to jump start the Sirt1 gene. Last edited by Kissa; 01-22-2013 at 04:10 AM.. |

Well this will certainly be the most memorable start I've ever had to any diet! Finally took enough medicine to get the fever down for a bit. Tried my heart out to hit my UD goal of 2200 but fell short at around 1700 - and the last 350 of that is from the ridiculous amounts of orange juice I just bought myself. Oh well, I will get as close as I can, and I'm continuing to view this as a primer for good DDs since I know the more I do the easier they'll be! Thanks all for the well wishes!

Just as many of us find it best to start DDs a bit high and tune them down...many of us have to tune UDs 'up'.
Next UD just keep keeping thinking onward and upward!! (It will help when you are not ill and food probably looks like yuck) You are off to a great start! |
