Gonna Try It Out!
Hi guys!

I've heard a lot about JUDDD and calorie cycling. I think I'm going to try it and see what works for me.

Can anyone give me the run-down on what exactly JUDDD's plan is if I'm combining it with low carb?

How many calories should I be consuming? What does a typical day look like?

JUDDD doesn't care what you eat, just how much and when. I'm not doing low carb so hopefully someone else who is will come in and give you some tips on that. JUDDD is great that way, that you can combine it with any other eating style you want.

If you google johnson up day down day diet you will find his website that has a calculator. Put in your hieght, weight, and age. Make sure you set it to lbs (unless you use the metric system) and it will give you your calorie range.

As Sammy says, get your DD/UD calories from Dr J's website (making sure to convert Euro measures to US). If your DD calories are under 500, start at 500. Then work your way down (some of us stay at 500 for most or all of our weight loss journey).

Read. Read Dr J's website. Read here.

Plan your menus. Think about when you usually get hungry. Carry extra food with you so you have something to nosh if you totally need to. Plan. Read. Plan some more.

Prepare to experiment. Once the sirtuin proteins start accumulating in your system you will probably experience appetite suppression. You will almost certainly find the times you get hungry start changing. Pay attention, and prepare to make changes as your body's needs change (I do not mean stop LC - but I do mean proportion of fat-meat-veg may need tweeking).

Repeat after me, "Hunger is not an emergency. Hunger is not an emergency."

JUDD is great and you will love it.
Your can easily do it low-carb. I eat low carb and usually post my daily menus, if you want to get some ideas.
