They are hard in the beginning Rosey! If you can, just power through it with sheer determinaton. The goal is to lose weight, and you can do this. Try to think of that hungry feeling as fat being burned. That's what I do when I'm uncomfortable in any way, like hunger pangs, or feeling cold on a DD. It's calories being burned, fat disappearing, etc.

Also, know that DDs will get A LOT easier soon!

Very good tips, Angie! staying busy is a must for me. I only clean house on DD's
And I always save a few calories for before bedtime. I just can't sleep if my tummy is growling at me.
Water, broth, tea, and tomato juice save me every time. Liquids are great on DD's....well, UD's too!
And yes, good fats, protein, veggies... for me no carbs on DD's helps me stick with it.

Rosey, where in South Africa are you? DH and I spent five weeks in Capetown and Riviersonderend in the Overberg, in the Western Cape. It's a beautiful country. I was gonna buy one of those snake skin bras but decided I couldn't get it past customs. LOL.

I had a hard time counting calories while there, the numbers I was seeing on food packages didn't match the ones here, it seems like it's a different system? And also, we ate out a lot. I maintained by keeping nice low down days and eating whatever on up days, not worrying about the numbers since I couldn't puzzle it out.

Sounds like you're off to a good start. DDs are hard at first, they do get easier. Pretty soon they'll be effortless, you'll get there. We're rooting you on.

Hi, yes the numbers are totally different, we use kilo joules. there is a formula to convert them to calories, but i just divide them by 4 and i get a good estimate. But i always use a tracker to calculate my calories. most if not all our brands are there.

Western Cape is amazing, but very windy, I stay in Pretoria. Its inland, it actually the capital city of South Africa. It is also a nice city, more of a concrete jungle.

WTG, Rosey. Sometimes we need to keep re-starting, pretty soon we realize JUDDD has just become a habit. It's just how I eat now.

Thanks for the info on the kilojoules, that makes sense. That may come in handy as DH and I are planning another trip.
