I know how that feels. I am having some hunger pangs right now too and I just ate! Try having something like chicken broth. A cup for 10 calories is sometimes all you need to get past that feeling.

I got hungry this afternoon too. I'm having 35 cal worth of sugar snap peas. I used to always do the chicken broth and it worked great. For some reason now its giving me reflux. My stomach is not kind to me. But I'd definately try the broth.

If you have celery or cucumber it's only 4 calories an ounce. You'd be suprised that 3oz can make a big difference for 12 calories.

Question Judders. What is better, consuming all the DD calories at once or bit by bit. I consumed all the 500 calories at once during supper. I also want to know abt hours. I read that the DD should last for 36 hours. Is it true.

I usually eat my 200 calories at bedtime and fast all day before then. Everyone does it differently. The best way to eat your DD calories is which ever way works best for YOU! My DD is occassionally less than 36 hours, but also frequently longer. My normal pattern is finish UD at 9pm- fast till 9pm on DD and eat 200 calories- wake up on UD and have a bit of half and half in coffee, but don't eat till 1pm or so. So about 40 hour for me on most DDs.

No. We don't have teas or cups either. We have to create our own tea from leaves . I hope u not a typical American who thinks we have lions on our backyards n use iphones while wearing animal skin skirts. N snake skin bras. of course we have tea. We have everything but broth. We probably even have broth but call it liquid storks or something.

I think I was too lazy to do anything so I went straight to bed. N the hunger is just not back yet. Think I will have my normal cup of gingseng tea before my workout. Then eat around 11:30 on my way to the meeting.

I use a lot of broth. Broth is simply the liquid from cooking meat or even vegetables. I usually make chicken broth and freeze the extra. It is also called stock like when you are going to make soup. Homemade broth is higher in calories than the cubes but kind of depends on how you prepare it. I don't strain mine but I pour it off the chicke carcass so don't get many bits of chicken meat in the broth. Makes great soup though.
I keep a ready supply of the little cubes of dried broth to reconstitute since they are only 5 calories each. In our stores they are found in the soup section. usually on the top shelf for some reason.
Anything liquid can help on DD's. Although I have tried teas and they are kind of boring to me except for my nightcap of Chamomile tea.

Rosey, that's funny! Don't judge us too harshly. Broth is such a given around here it's hard to understand that it wouldn't be elsewhere. I'm not well traveled, but fascinated by other countries/cultures. You'll teach us much I'm sure!

So, doesn't that snake skin bra itch?

Hi rosey! Are you having a good UD? So far I haven't eaten yet- It's almost !0 AM and at 10:15, I'm gonna get me a goodie from my break room here at work.

I can't believe y'all have tea there! I thought you lived in a hut!! lol just kidding!
I wasn't sure if you had hot tea because I have lived in places where all people drink is iced tea, and usually don't have stock of iced tea at home, that's what I meant. I'm sure SA is wonderful!! Let me know if you ever want to vacation swap!!

i already had 1800 calories and no dinner yet. Big misunderstanding though between me and the healthy Kauai shakes. Bought a smoothie and realized after i had it that it had over 500 calories. Woke up so hungry i had a small chocolate muffin before breakfast. then my normal breakfast of all bran and fat free milk. normally 221 calories for breakfast but because of the muffin i had 471 cals. Then the shake and the kfc twister, grilled atleast. and a snack now with my daughter another 400 calories of nonsense.

Luckily i have left overs from last night's dinner, so thats what ill b having at 7pm, in less than an hour and ill b done with binge day. i could call it that considering by the end of the day i would have had 2200 calories.

On a good note though, i managed to put in 40 minutes of exercise, and i will be doing another one before bed. I found it hard to gym yesterday so on my up days i will gym as much as i can to make up for the DD

Hi Rosey! I'm from the Pacific NW in Oregon and for me it's 11:30 at night. Sounds like you're getting the hang of DD and UD just great! What kind of workouts do you do at the gym?

(I'll go back to my little cabin in the woods now and go to bed - NO, really LOL - I live in a park - sometimes we see coyotes, skunks and possums at night but no lions ha ha ha)

Snake skin bras sound kind of cool. But then, I grew up in the swamps of Louisiana. I had a few close encounters with snakes big enough to make a whole evening dress with matching shoes, purse, and hair band. (Hmmm, trimmed in metallic fabric...could be a really good look.)

Serious, double over, shaking hunger pains can happen...even just after you ate. As your body adjusts, they usually go away. I keep a baked chicken in the fridge. Sometimes one bite is enough to stop the hunger. I also keep bags of leaf veggies (spinach, etc). I used to eat them like chips - one at a time. I still remember being amazed when eleven baby spinach leaves stopped the hunger completely.

Don't worry about the high UD. It is all part of the learning process.

Today must be an UD for you. How did your DD go?

What do you like to do at the gym? I have limited mobility so I just do what I can.

Yesterday was my DD. Its really amazing how easy it is to consume 500calories a day. I managed to consume 480cals. And I also managed to put in 40minutes of gym. I think veggies, melons, fat free yogurt n a half cup of all bran will b my stable diet for my DD.

Today I managed to have a reasonable amount of breakfast and went all out with lunch. But my dinner will b a lil low.

Its my UD and my 5th day and I have already lost 3lbs. For someone who pigged out on my up day. I'm thankful for the loss. I need to learn to sleep though.

Looks like you are doing great!

My best tips for successful DDs:
- keep busy - no where near the kitchen
- lots of liquids (broth, teas, water etc)
- stick to protein/fats/veggies
- save a snack for before bedtime (I hate going to bed late)

and then enjoy your UD to the fullest!!!
I am a yo-yo dieter as well and this way of eating is so great because you do not feel deprived!

But this WOE just fits in my life perfectly. After 2 weeks I'm going to work on reducing my UD calories. I'm still eating aroud 2500 on my UD.

I hear you, I never made it past the second day on weight watchers. 1000 calories, and then 1000 calories the next day? And the next and the next? AND low fat? no thank you. I am liking JUDD too. I am down 2 overall.

It works. This plan works. After my 3rd UD which ended up being all about food. I am truly impressed. The scale is moving its slow I know but its moving down. Yesterday I was day dreaming about reaching my 1st goal. Losing my 1st 20lbs. I'm almost sure ill reach it in the next 2 months
