TGIF!!! DD Friday, Let's Do It!
Trying for a lower DD, but still may come in at 500...not going to sweat it if I feel like I need to eat. So far nothing but 3/4 c. of coffee w/1 T light cream and 1 T of peppermint mocha (35 total).
How's your DD going? |

Ha! I just did a DD thread too. Mine's going great so far. I had breakfast, which I "never" do on a DD.

So far nothing at nearly noon. I'll have a cup of coffee & HWC soon. Chicken for dinner. Maybe some broth if I need it. I would love to get in a lower cal DD today, Cindy. Let's see if we can do it!

Flutter, I love your new ticker!
LCG, I ain't making any promises! I'm at 250 now...Had a very satisfying lunch of 1 slice of buffalo chicken, 1 slice of cheddar, 3 cucumbers peeled and sliced with vinegar and salt, and two sea salt rice cakes with chipotle cream cheese.![]() I'm going to stop by the store and see if I can find a tea Dawnyama recommended...if so, might be satisfied with that (plus a little cream and splenda )... |

Great DD today so far! Went to lunch with friends and had no problems having my tea as they ate. No hunger.
Breakfast: Tea with whole milk Lunch: Tea with whole milk Dinner: don't know yet, we're staying with others so dinners are group decisions made late in the afternoon, right before the grocery store run to get items for said dinner. This is one of the challenges of the nomadic lifestyle that DH and I are living, is the planning is very tough to do. But the beauty of JUDDD is that you don't need special foods to do it. Fasting all day and having a modest meal for dinner is a perfectly fine way of living my life. I had to build up to it, but now it's easy peasy.

Not going exactly as planned, but as long as I get through the rest of the day, I'll be okay. I snacked on hummus and blueberries. Probably 350-400 calories? I was feeling hungry, so I'm having almond milk now to just fill me up and help me get through it. What I should have done is stuck with lemon water until later in the day and then had the almond milk, then I would have been golden. But that's okay. There'll be another down day soon.

This is a wonderful day for a DD, I'm feeling really good! Seems like the sirts have picked up this week, or else I'm getting used to a light headed feeling, lol! In any case, it does feel like a flow of happiness. . . .
I've found that DD's are easier for me these days with mostly liquid. Coffee, Splenda Coke, Tea. I went to the store and picked up some tea from the tea thread. This is a fun change of pace. |

Love the tea you guys are talking about! I miss hot teas...used to be my favorite drink. I haven't been able to have it in years, though. Both hot & iced teas give me heartburn. Wonder if I can give it a whirl again? I'd be over the moon if I could drink it again!

then, day before last, that DD went great...then today's is going fabulous..! I am thrilled to be feeling better again and the energy returning like it was before I went to Vegas. I do mostly liquids for DD's too when I'm feeling good. Makes meal planning easy. I really wish I liked tea, would be nice on a crisp day like today.. bbbrrrrrrrrr!!!

Patience is key with JUDDD, grammy, that's right.
![]() Flutter, you can take Prilosec and drink tea. Unfortunately I couldn't find any yummy teas at Bi-Lo, but bought some breakfast tea that I'm drinking now with a little light cream. Not the treat I'd hoped for, but still pretty good.

Decided on a open sammy: 1 half bun toasted, 1.5 slices of deli turkey, 1 square of cheddar, 1 dill pickle, mustard (200). Afraid I'm not going to have a low DD LCG, but it has been a very good one!

We're hoping to go back to SA in a few months so don't really want to settle down just yet, no point in renting a place to leave it empty. So as long as the lifestyle works, we'll keep doing this. When something changes, we'll re-evaluate. Our kids call us hippies, LOL. Maybe we are. |

Still haven't eaten anything yet for DD, milk in tea has been the only source of calories. Have a crustless quiche in the oven, will have a slice of quiche and some brussels sprouts (maybe) and then DD will be complete.
Went for a 45-minute walk today so I'm feeling pretty good about this DD. |

Sounds like a great DD, Luna.
![]() My DD has gone fairly well. I'm near if not a bit over the 500 limit and I just took some vitamins...feeling nauseated because I guess I haven't had enough food for them to digest properly. Hope I don't need to eat again. ETA: decided to eat two prunes. Hope to kill two birds ![]() Last edited by Librarygirl; 01-11-2013 at 05:21 PM.. |

Thank you for the mention of vitamins! I'd forgotten to take mine...always a challenge on DDs because you're supposed to take them with food and not eating until dinner, I tend to forget the vitamins!

Stuff I wasn't supposed eat today
Hummus Blueberries Oranges Tangerines Caramelized onions (this was supposed to be dinner for tomorrow...) But at least I didn't go totally off the rails. Just more of a medium day than down day. Next time will stick more to the hot lemonade because that works really well to cut hunger. Tomorrow: up day! I won't punish myself on the up day by subtracting, just do better next down day. |
