TryingJudd--hibiscus tea is tart. You can drink it straight or it is also in a lot of blends.

I just had the David's Tea cookie dough white tea, and it was yummy! Reminded me of vanilla wafers, and smelled wonderful, too.

There's an airline that serves fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies to passengers, and I don't eat them, but it would sure help me cope with cookie envy (brought on by the smell of the fresh cookies) in that situation to have some cookie dough tea in a teabag in my purse and ask for hot water. Note to self: Pack this!

I'm drinking the Cocomint Cream herbal tea from David's Tea, and it's really good even without added cream (and I usually miss the cream a lot if I try to drink tea without it).

Kismet, can you tell me about the So Delicious coconut creamer? I'm planning a dairy free month (oh, how I dread that! ) this spring, and I tried some full fat coconut milk in my tea in place of HWC or half-and-half, the other day. It was ... disappointing ... kinda lumpy, not very satisfying to me. How does So Delicious coconut creamer stack up against dairy cream in tea? Does it have added sugars or chemical-sounding ingredients?

A little late to the party but my 2 favorites are:
1) Tazo Chai prepared with milk (I use fat free) and 1 packet sweetener. Chai being "tea" in Hindi and, I'm told my an Indian gentleman I used to work with, traditionally prepared by boiling the water, milk, sugar & chai to prepare the drink. So I guess this is as close as I can get with the diet approach.
2) MarketSpice African Red Bush True Vanilla made with rooibos. Its the lovely rooibos with a hint of vanilla - enough, IMO, to make sweetener unnecessary. I'm not sure if you can get MarketSpice teas outside the Seattle area (Market = Pike Place Market, the place with the flying fish) but maybe online?

Well, it has 10 calories per Tbsp and 0 fat. The ingredients are:
ORGANIC COCONUT MILK (ORGANIC COCONUT CREAM, WATER, GUAR GUM), ORGANIC DRIED CANE SYRUP, COLORED WITH TITANIUM DIOXIDE, DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, CARRAGEENAN
I think it was really good in my tea. Since I only tried it in the coconut chai tea I thought it complimented it well. Not sure about other ones but I would give it a try. There's a coupon if you go to their website so you have nothing to lose!

Thanks, Kismet! I'm a little disappointed that it has cane syrup in it, but if I eat just tablespoons in my tea, that can't add up to much sugar.

Thanks, Kismet, I picked up some of the coconut milk creamer and tried it in a cup of tea this evening. It was pretty good, IMO; not as luscious as cream, but a feasible alternative if I try a dairy-free month. And nice and low in calories for DDs.

Yeah, you really don't need much at all and it's only 1g sugar per serving.

I just have been nuts over coconut things lately LOL I got these gluten free coconut macaroons that are really good. They are only 15 calories each so it's a bite of something sweet for not too much damage.

I'm brand new to LCF and this is actually my first post.

I always wanted to get into tea more, and limit my coffee to one cup. And I finally found a tea I love: Thyme/Spearmint Tea

I steep 1 teaspoon each of dried thyme and spearmint leaves in 16+ ounces of barely boiled water for 10-12 minutes in my cute little teapot or in a covered mug with a tea ball.

You might think thyme would taste weird in a tea, but I love the flavor. Thyme is from the mint family.

I discovered using thyme in tea when I was recuperating from a sinus infection. Thyme is a pretty powerful natural expectorant. So besides being delicious, it helps keep my airways clear!

Spearmint has some beneficial health properties too, besides being majorly delicious.

I make it "iced" as well. Yummy!

Air Canada bakes fresh cookies for the business class travelers... I was too stomach-flu-y on Friday to enjoy them though

maybe we can have a tea exchange for those who want to trade tea flavors they don't love?

I love the fruit flavored Celestial Seasonings ones - the zingers especially. New found love - The Bright Tea Co. raspberry - for the Flavia. So good! They're so good they don't need any kind of sweetener!

This going GF thing ~ I swear! Now I find out some teas have gluten. I checked my Tazo and it's just tea. The stuff I get loose isn't labeled, so I'm not sure, but I'm going to assume it's also just tea.

I think most of the companies have a customer service email you could check with, if your investment was significant and you want to know for sure.

Nice!

I've mixed the remnants of 3 chocolate David's teas that I don't love-- chocolate chili chai (not bad, but needed more chili, so I added hot pepper flakes to it), super chocolate (green tea with chocolate and cinnamon) and cocoa canela (mate tea with chocolate and cinnamon in it). I can't find anything that's *really* chocolate-y, but whatever, maybe that's my tea white whale?

I like chocolate rocket-- it's chocolate raspberry, but the rasberry doesn't taste overly fake in a bad way.... and I have read my lips, which is chocolate mint, also nice.

Maybe I'll try red velvet, if you find it quite chocolatey?

I actually think the cocoa canela is more chocolate-y, but I really like the red velvet. It is very smooth and feels like a luxery.
