Kismet-I've had the Gypsy Zhena's coconut chai (comes in a black cylinder container). It is WAY good!

It is a bit more than I care to (can) spend on a tea, as well, but it's so good that I've purchased it many, many times!

This really is a crazy, wonderful ride we're on, isn't it?

As of early this morning, my DT order is in my city P.O. I don't know if it'll get here today, but I'm hoping! I would love to have it for tomorrow's DD!

Mine just got here too! Postman brought it up to my door - I could see him pull up and met him at the door. I'm going to save it for DD tomorrow, but I'll report back! So excited!

YESSSS! That's it! I think I might try it. They have it in Black and Green. I will have to pick it up next time. I saw it yesterday but I put it back because of grocery budget concerns but I see if I have extra treat money by the end of the week!

Kismet-

I hesitate when I buy it also (for $ concerns). But I'm sure you'll like it. I'm not really big on coconut, but I quite enjoy this one. It's not "tropically-coconutty" (light and fresh)....it's a deeper flavor from the chai.

I had heavy cream in my Chocolate Orange David's Tea this morning, and it was luscious. Kind of like hot chocolate, so a treat for me since I don't add sweeteners to anything.

I'm steeped in tea ideas. I haven't seen any chickory teas. But, I've got enough tea for now to get me through quite a few DDs.

One of you is going to have to make a Tea App, like Starbucks has.

I have a coconut chai, and I only notice a mild coconuttyness, but it just rounds our the flavor. Same with cocomint cream-- sounds weird, coconut and mint, but it just makes it creamy tasting, without any actual dairy. So good!

OK, I am checking in here before I ruin another tea. I searched around locally and only found Republic of Tea stuff. I picked up the coconut cocoa & some peppermint chocolate. Since these are herbal, I'm not supposed to put cream or sweetener in them, right? ('cause the package says they're good with cream?)

I have the coconut cocoa...warning: it's weak.

To get it to a decent flavor level, I use two (2) bags per cup and steep about 5 min or so. I do put cream and sweetener in it (it brews dark), and it's lovely. Just start with a little at first.

I'm loving the Chocolate Orange and the Red Velvet Cake teas best, from the ones I got from David's Teas. Today I tried Banana Dream Pie (good with cream, but not my very favorite) and Chocolate Chili Chai (yum!) I ordered some of the samplers, so I'm looking forward to trying a bunch more flavors. (So far, I've found Oh Canada and Read My Lips to be okay, but not something I'll probably order a larger supply of.)

I've found it so satisfying to have flavored tea with half-and-half throughout the day, today; I started the day ravenous, but I find the flavored tea plus a little fat/protein to be really helpful. (Of course, this is an up day; I'll see what happens on tomorrow's down day).

Among the great things about good tea for me:
1) Very few calories
2) Warms us up on chilly DDs (or chilly any winter day)
3) As someone doing very lowcarb, I know that I won't be eating regular red velvet cake or cookies or pineappple or chocolate or bananas or ... (fill in any sweet food with calories and carbs), but I still get some taste of those things w. David's Teas
4) Putting in cream or half-and-half or coconut milk lets me add fats easily to my diet without much protein (desirable for me since I limit calories, carbs, and protein)
5) Making tea, washing mug gives me welcome little breaks at work
6) Helps fill me up on DDs
7) Helps me consume lots of low/no calorie liquid for flushing out fat
8) Smells delicious
9) Lasts a long time, doesn't spoil
10) Tastes good!

That a great list Sven. I Agee with everthing accept limiting carbs and protein, but red velvet cake doesn't fit my calories on a regular basis, but every now and then.

I'm going to try to do a sort of fat fast DD today, trying different teas with a tablespoon of cream or half-and-half per cup. So far, I've tried Jessie's Tea (not a fan of it) with a tablespoon of cream. I'll post my take on other David's Teas from the "Sweet Indulgences" sampler at the end of the day. Next up: Cranberry Pear black tea. Last night I tried "Forever Nuts" herbal tea and loved it.

I used 2 bags, added a bit of splenda & bit of skim milk. Not a fan. I really am a coffee addict now, I guess. {sigh} next time, maybe I'll try it again just plain.

I really love the Eggnogg'n and I'm panicking that I'll run out and not be able to find any...

The loose tea is not convenient for keeping in my purse or at work. How do people make the loose teas on the go?

I keep a strainer at work and use the hot water dispenser in the water cooler. It's probably not ideal, but it works for me.

I just placed my second order with DT! I found some I didn't really care for, but I fell in LOVE with Birthday cake! I love to drink it after dinner, as my dessert with 2 drops of Ez-Sweets.

For the "on the go" issue, I bought the T-sacs that were mentioned in the thread, made them up, and put them in baggies, labeled with the flavors, as I have several flavors at work now ready to go. They work great! HTH

So far loving the cookie dough and banana dream pie teas with a drop of Ez sweet. Didn't love the salted caramel- it was a bit bitter and the Mom's apple pie disappointed but I will try it again. Trying the toasted marshmallow now sweetened and it good but not great. I now have to try the birthday cake and the red velvet!! So strange for me because in the past 30 years I have been almost exclusively drawn to tropical, citrus, or other fruit favors in tea. I drink lemon water and tea every day and love sour. Has anyone tried any sour flavor teas?
