So, I got the David's Tea advent calendar (of TEA!).. and because I'll be working in the US for a week in December, and I can't take tea with me (don't ask, long story)... I'm starting my advent calendar today!

First flavor- White Chocolate frost. I think this sort of replaces cocomint from last year (herbal, minty, creamy).

Hoping for a caffeinated one for my DD!

I'm still trying to like teas, but I found one I can call a favorite. Bigelow Wild Blueberry w/Acai. I was fretting because I couldn't find CS Wild Blueberry when I was running low and wasn't sure how the one with acai would taste. It's wonderful and so glad I got it! It's a little naturally sweeter and with the butter I add ...

Is this tea readily available? I've seen you mention it a few times, and I really want to try it. I have been sorely disappointed in most of the teas I've tried. The flavors sound so good, yet taste so weak and barely flavored when *I* drink them. I always wonder why I tried to drink something other than coffee.

Carly, your cats look beautiful!!

Thanks Cindy! We love our little furbabies.

I've been looking for the Sleigh Ride something or other by CS, but haven't seen it.

That White Chocolate tea sounds great Soren.

I'm hoping everyone is having a lovely Thanksgiving and is stress free. I'm hoping tea is involved

Days 2 and 3 of the tea advent calendar-- blueberry black tea (very good, but you know me, so I could only have a little... did not go berserk though #restraint).

Today I'll have the Alpine Punch (it's rooibos, so it's decaf naturally. Almonds and apples and stuff). I'm waiting till I walk Haka, which takes a bit longer now-- then I get cold, and then I need tea!

Carly, I think its a really nice peppermint tea. I'm not getting all the creaminess taste of the cocomint from last year, and I've heard they are coming out with other mint flavors in January, but I did really like it. it was very minty and delicious, not comparing it to anything else.
So if you are looking for a great mint tea, yes.
If you are looking for a creamy tasting one specifically, no, IMO.

I would say, drop their customer service a note. I think there's a bit of uproar that they didn't make cocomint a permanent flavor, so the more email they get, the better Plus, they'll reply and tell you what is coming up (I think I saw something similar in comments on their FB page, which they seem very responsive to as well).

Hi everyone, I have been reading through this tea thread, and I would like to ask a question. Where are you finding the holiday teas from Celestial Seasonings and Bigelow? I have looked at both of my local grocery stores, Kroger and Publix. I also looked at Walmart. The only store I haven't made it to is Target. I did, however, find a new one from Bigelow called Chocolate Chai. It has a mild chocolate flavor.

Anyway, still searching for Eggnogg'n or Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride. Help please!

HomeWorkerMT, Celestial Seasonings has a Store Locator button on the right side of their website where you can select a flavor and your zip code and it will tell you what stores in the area carry that flavor. I have found it to be accurate in the past. Maybe Bigelow and some other brands have something similar. Good luck finding what you want!

I find the Bigelow at Stop and Shop. It's a big chain here in NY. I haven't found the CS Sleigh Ride yet, but will check out their site like Carol mentioned below.

Thank you soooo much for the information! Of course, the one store I haven't gotten to yet is the store that has the Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride in stock!!! Making a Target run tonight!

Have any of you ever tried CS Nutcracker Sweet? Target has this as well. May give it a try.

This is such a friendly forum. Thank you so much!

I could not edit my last post to add this information I just found:

I visited the Bigelow website. Unfortunately, they do not have a store locator. They do have an online store where they will be happy to sell me 6 BOXES of Eggnogg'n for $19.75. How crazy is that?! The smallest purchase quantity is 6 boxes......of a tea I have never tasted and may not even like!!

I found CS Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride, and Bigelow Eggnogg'n today at Sprouts! Barbo has make the Sugar Cookie sound so good I had to have it, and am sipping on a mug now. No cream, just some AS, and it's good! I'll try it with a little cream next time too.

Carly has been tempting me with her talk of Eggnogg'n since last year, so I had to buy that too. I'll try that soon!

I still have a mild- moderate soar throat, so since it's down day I put a few tea bags in my purse for work. Easy breezy and my throat appreciates it.

I must confess this is the first mild sickness I have had since my first week of JUDDD in 3/2012! Can't complain about that!

oh no.

I found that hydrasense (a pressurized nasal washing thing... more OOMPH than a neti pot) really worked well for me! cleaned the guk right out, and I avoided the sinus infection everyone got with the cold last year.

I recommend Mint tea, it will feel soothing when you breathe it in.

It's popular where I live to brew a pot of black tea with fresh thyme sprigs added in. It's very soothing and delicious. Fresh sage leaves are also good.

Glad you're feeling better Carly.

Devo, that's very interesting. I'd never heard of that. I take it you're in Russia or thereabouts? I love that we have people from all over the world here. It's funny how you wind up having more in common with people from far, far away than you do many people right around you!

Hi Dottie!

Devo, that sounds really aromatic and savory. Reminds me of the genmatcha tea i tried as paet of the advent calendar. It's green tea with roasted rice in it. Definitely a savory combination, though i did sweeten it.
I also have thymian honey, and you can smell and taste the difference.

Todays tea was earl grey. Wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Yes, Carol, I do live in Russia--but I'm not Russian. From Seattle, originally, and late of NYC.

Russians do love their tea, so there's a very good selection here. They use the indian word for it, chai.

They also like to brew just pots fresh ginger slices and honey, sometimes with lemon, which is great for colds.
