Relaxing Tea

I love this stuff. It promotes relaxation and restful sleep.
It's herbs, caffeine free and all natural (whatever that's supposed to be?)
I use it with 1 tea bag of orange/spice. Makes a nice night cap.
It's 'Ancient Chinese Medicinals'

I was looking at the organic teas at Stop and Shop and could not believe the huge selection. I really enjoy the David's Tea and soon I should be able to find the Bigelow Eggnogg'n

I have to get back to less coffee and more tea!

my favorite teas are peppermint, sugar cookie sleigh ride, and candy cane lane. I don't add sweetener or anything to any of them, just steep them in hot water.

i tried a couple from republic of teas and did not care for them they are soooo expensive so I don't dare to buy more even though they sound amazing!

i also like chai tea with a little milk/sugar

I agree LC-chica, it's hit and miss with tea. I like David's tea b/c I can try stuff at a store, or when I order online, they send samples...

generally, I think my expectations are too high when a tea says "chocolate" in it... haven't really loved one yet enough to reorder it. Cocoa Canella I think is the best of the ones I've tried in that area.

I'm sitting here, looking at my new kitchen, and my re-organized tea bins, and wondering what I should have when my current glass of water runs out... I'm thinking a big huge 20oz glass of iced Bamboozeld (made with bamboo, and peach!)

I got new TEA!

The arrived just in time for my bday yesterday, and I was tickled!

I got:
24 days of tea (now sold out online-- sold out in 1hr! and I got one! to me!)-- it's a tea advent calendar (I've never had an advent calendar!) and I'm so excited.
Since I'm traveling for a week in December, I'm going to start my daily surprise tea on Nov 25th!
Also-- very cute box!

Cold Survival Kit-- another cute box. And there's 5 flavors in this one, plus honey sticks, and filters. The flavors are: bravissimo, super ginger, cold 911, secret weapon, north African mint. Lots of good herbs in these different flavors-- some have more licorice and juniper, orange peel, goji, hibiscus...

I also got:
Coffee Pu'erh-- this is a kind of tea (special, not sure why...) and they flavor this one with coffee beans and for some reason, I think it tastes like hot chocolate! I have only had 1 cup from my trial amount, and DH had some too. I had mine with vanilla sf almond milk, which was great. I got this "for DH" but I might sneak some now and then when I need a BOOST

Coco-Lemon Thai - this is a white tea (so, lowest caffeine without going herbal) and I'm having it iced. It's a new flavor this year.
Lemony, coconutty and creamy. SO GOOD! Loving it!

Spiced Fig-- this is a new flavor this year for Winter. I haven't tasted it yet, but I opened the bags and OMG it smells like CHRISTMAS! Fruity and spicy. I'm so excited.
There's nothing but fruit and spices in it-- I'm not sure if I should drink it or snack on it or bake with it!
I'm obsessed with it already-- I'll have some for dessert tonight!

Ok, that's it for me!
Your intrepid tea reporter, signing out!

Those sound amazing Soren! I just finished up the last of my order of DT from last winter, and I still have some sample sizes of flavored coffees I got then to use up, so I'm not sure if/when I'll be ordering more tea. You're making it mighty tempting though!

I like to share the joy

my friend just posted on FB that she's trying the fig as a latte... I'm thinking, I can do that, with almond milk, and still keep it low cal for a DD.

LOVE JUDDDD!

I found the Bigalow Egg'noggin in the grocery store yesterday. I was so excited. I really wanted to buy 2 boxes, but thought DW would not be amused. We have a tiny kitchen and really can't waste valuable cabinet space with all the extra tea, but I'm going to get another box over the weekend for my desk at work... that works, right

Considering you keep, like, no food in the house, I would think two little bitty boxes of tea could be accommodated. But I've never lived in a NY apartment. Good thing YOU don't take up much space!

I'll have to post a picture of our "pass through" kitchen. DW and I can't stand in there at the same time without having issues.

That is quite the tea "jenga" game you have going there! I don't think anyone would notice another box!

I was just going to say exactly that Soren! Great minds!

Those cats look mighty happy in there. BTW, I have exactly that same fridge! I've been wanting to replace it, but it still works just fine so I can't justify it to myself.

Tea "jenga"
And I lose every time, because don't you know they all fall out on head. Luckily tea is light. I would stack higher, but I can't reach and even more fall since I have a knack for wanting the type that is lowest down.

I *knew* they would fall on you... I had a whole youtube in my head of how that would go.

Because, for sure, if it were me, that is exactly what would happen!

AAAANNNNNNDDDDD that's why my tea is now all in a bottom cabinet!

(also, it's in tins... and falling would kill me)

It probably would make a good youtube video- especially with the cursing and carrying on. The tins would be dangerous!

I absolute love Aveda tea but it is sooooo pricey. Yogi/Traditional Medicinals egyptian mint is similar but not the same. Any suggestions for tea that tastes just like the Aveda tea?

I had 2 cups of of CS cookie sleigh ride w/ a dash of heavy cream and stevia....so delish!!!

I'm not familiar with Aveda. The David's Tea is wonderful, but also pricey.

Chavez got me at Sleigh Ride and cream....

I thought I had a secret passion for tea. I don't talk about it but now
knowing I am not alone I can confess. I pay almost $5 bucks for my
Relaxing tea and dunk 2 in with either apple cinnamon or orange spice.
Cream too. Naughty. If you need to, you can take a nice spicy one,
and tuck it into your underwear drawer. Makes every thing smell so nice.
I have two big rows of tea stacked in cupboard. All kinds of good stuff.
DH never drinks tea, poor guy.

LOL Barbo! My dh drinks tea, but rarely (but generally when I suggest, and he does seem to like it).

So I buy caffeinated tea "for him" and then I sneak some (and then I come here all hopped up and you guys know it...)

I have not been drinking my tea but now that the colder weather is coming I am starting to crave hot beverages! I will have to pick up some coconut milk creamer.
My husband is not a coffee or tea drinker but since we have a fig tree in the yard now he made some fig leaf tea. I have not tried it but he says it is good and according to his research (probably a youtube video LOL) it is good for diabetics. We have a huge canister of it now so I will probably try it when I get my creamer. I told him we should sell it for $20/ounce!! It is pretty expensive if you buy it online. I have never seen it sold in stores.

Well, my husband is very protective of it now LOL But next year when we have 2 trees maybe I can get him to make extra! He is making me buy him a tea ball. I usually make me tea with a reusable Keurig filter but that is NOT good enough for HIS TEA!!!

Sleigh Ride Tea

Chavez, I thank you. Went out a bought a box and am now sipping
2 cups with cream. Oh so yummy. It tastes like you are eating cookies
with your tea. Will go back and get at least 5 more boxes.
