Thanks. I'm self-medicating with Tootsie Rolls.
I'll probably switch to Chardonnay when I get home from work. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm fully supportive of both the Tootsie rolls and the Chardonnay! Just remember, it'll be okay. Tough to think of it this way, but it could lead to something so much better. BTDT.

I don't want to interfere with anyone supporting Dawn (**hugs**), but just wanted to post that I have been having hip pain. It has become much more pronounced (but not debilitating by any means) sinced JUDDDing. I am beginning to suspect arthritis or osteoperosis! I had the foot thingy done years ago where they measure how strong your bones are and was told I was periosteo, or something like that (beginning stages). I don't take calcium or supplements for it, and my mother developed or found out she had osteo in her 70s (she broke her hip and has since fractured it twice again). Should I be overly concerned? Why would it manifest now?

Cindy my body has been riddled with arthritis since I was 21. I don't know what makes us start to feel it more. Mine was probably juvenile in onset, but I was not particularly bothered in my teens. My hips didn't start to bother me till my early 30's, but that of course is not normal. I think it is always good to take calcium. I could do better with it for sure. Hope the pain gets better.

Thanks, Carly. I Googled it and it seems kind of common along with weight loss. Someone said their doctor explained to them that when a person is obese the fat acts as a cushion and stabelizer of sorts, so that when the fat comes off the body is able to move more and thus can cause some pain (that the fat was masking).

Thanks everyone. We'll be fine, but it was a shock.
Cindy, definitely get a bone density test and ask your doctor if you should be taking any supplements. I have arthritis in my hip and it's no fun. |

I will, Dawn and thanks. I did have one done a few years back and was borderline...probably worse now. I think I'll look for chewable calcium because those horse pills put me off.
![]() I hope you and dh are doing okay tonight. It's probably too soon to think about other opportunities, but perhaps dh will find something even better. ![]() |

Cindy sorry you are suffering. My pains have eased since I started JUDDD.
I have done a couple of other things too. I take 3000/4500 mg of glucosamine daily. This definitely made a difference. I am also using DE daily and I do take vit D3 in high doses. But I am not a doctor and I do not play a doctor in any soaps! |

Dawn, I am sorry to hear about your DH being laid off...I hope he can get something better, and soon too
Cindy,...I know that hip pain is hard to live with....and I sure can't give any medical advice, but...I took calcium for years and didn't know that I needed to take magnesium also...so..you may want to check and see if you need magnesium to help absorb the calcium...that's what I was told by my Dr. at the time...I hope you can find something to help .. |

Oh, Cindy, I forgot to say that I was also told to take a vitamin D pill..the Dr thought that I needed all three of those....but..of course, I don't know what you would need to take, but it's worth checking out good...my last bone density test said that I was holding my own...my spine is deteriorating,..so I do what I can to help it.

Dawn dont know what your hubby does but have heard that many of the new jobs being reported are civil service with the government. Maybe your husband could start there to find a new job.

Thanks JB's! It's not a major problem, just an annoyance. The main thing is the wonder...I wonder if something's terribly wrong, lol. I am taking magnesium, B3, Probiotics and Prilosec right now, lol. I taken a major step in remembering to take these daily (started last week). I plan to get vit. D and calcium this weekend to add to my arsenal.
