Ok, I think I'm ready. I can't put timeframes around these, b/c I'm afraid of failure, which means I might not try. I have to try, though, so I don't want to put added pressure on. Ya know?

Here we go:

249-- next decade from where I'm at now.
237- I believe this is the lowest I've been in a long while, hit on JUDDD last year, before I lost my mojo.
229- wow-- I bet size 18 fits at this point?
219 - I've not seen this number since 2004, when I was losing for my wedding.
204-202 - I think this was my lowest, in 2004, of ever trying to lose weight actively since going over the 200 mark
199-- wonderland. I might faint. I imagine size 16 will fit?
189- ?
179- ?
169-160 is my goal. Size 14, preferably not "plus". Shopping at the Gap. Ann Taylor. Um... other places I don't even look at.

What is your height, Soren? You look beautiful in your pictures to me. I know you want to weigh less, but you carry your weight well. I had a woman tell me yesterday that she thought I was at the perfect size for me, and I am still considered obese by the charts. I know I'm looking pretty good already, but at this weight when I gained to it, I felt like a blimp! Isn't it strange?

My goals are:

160--lowest I've been since 2003

150--lowest since 2002

130--lowest since 1998?

125--lowest since 1994-95, and never expect to see it again lol

Okay, I'll bite…current weight 147 (well it was one week ago when I signed up for the No Weigh November!)

Goals:

140: I was this weight for about 4 seconds back in summer of 2001 and was LCing. As usual, got diet fatigue and spooked by this elusive number I had seen several times in the 90's. In general I have gained and lost the same 15 pounds each year since then. I could have sooooo reached all goals several times over!!

138: Pre-pregnanacy weight in 1988 before my son was born.

135: Would call goal at this weight and this time in my life except I keep seeing what so many others have accomplished so I am daring to aim higher!!

130: New goal this time around. Will change my stats.

125: Pre-pregnancy weight in 1982 before my daughter was born. This would definitely be my dream goal.

I am focusing on keeping to rotations and working out 3 times per week. As I arrive at each goal, I want to feel in better cardiac shape, and hopefully have more definition in my muscles…especially my legs. No timetables for me either, I just need to breathe and enjoy the journey! Will measure progress at this point with fave clothing that currently do not fit but have in the past…not sure when i will actually weigh in, will have to think about that.

Here are mine....what are yours?

233 - BMI will be < 40 - from currently morbidly obese (hate that term) to obese (also not a favorite, but better!) Achieved 12/31/12!

229 - Halfway to final goal. I neglected to note this in my original post, but it's an important one to acknowlege, so I added it here. Achieved 1/14/13!

224 - my high weight from when I started losing in 1998. I got to 130 in 2000. Started gaining it back in 2002. Achieved 2/19/13!

218.5 - will be 100 pounds lost since starting loss this time in January 2012. I'm very close! This is my February goal weight, and I have until 3/1 to make it - I have hopes! Achieved 3/26/13!

199 - onederland - can't wait! Achieved 7/5/13!

175 - BMI will be < 30 - from obese to merely overweight Achieved 11/26/13!

159 - Will have lost half my original body weight

145 - BMI will be < 25 - from overweight to "normal"

140 goal weight, unless I choose to go further

Something inside me wants to shoot for 118.5, which would be a 200 pound loss, but I'm not sure that's really necessary, or even wise. Even 124, my original 100 pound loss from 2002, which I never quite made, would be exciting. I guess time will tell. In the meantime, I look forward to checking each of these off during 2013.
Well, I won't get to check ALL of these off in 2013, but I'm very happy with my progress. I know the rest will be slower, but I will get there....in 2014!

Congrats on the BMI <30!!!!!!
I remember almost crying when I hit that point!! Way to go!!!!

In fact, I posted about it earlier in this thread. I wanted to hit it by April. Ha ha ha, it happened in June. Oh well because it happened!!!

I know I have 13# of fat to lose to be at the top end of the range of "healthy" body fat composition. But the scale is throwing me for loops as I'm actively building muscle right now as well. The parts you can see look good, which is a double edged sword. Now that I have tone, its making the flab that much more obvious. Now if I can just get the flab off...

We're going to Maui the first week in March and I'd really like to be in a healthy body fat range by then. I'd really really really like be to okay wearing a 2 piece suit by then. And I'm not talking Victoria's Secret style - but like some board shorts and a top or something. Need to look into another round of body fat testing...

fantastic thread for motivation

Carol, thank you so much for starting this thread for JUDDD-ers, and keeping it going.

I've been thinking a lot about this. Being hungry during those fasting periods really focuses the mind on why you are JUDDD-ing! Ultimately health and well-being are the main goals, but the shrinking numbers on the scale, and smaller sizes in the closet are important too! So much emotional resonance in each number, gosh, a lifetime. Plus, it's so telling to remember how fat I felt even at my relatively decent weights...it's all about self-love, isn't it? Thank goodness I'm developing some before my 40s are out!

(190.2 today, down from 200.6 in 1st week of JUDDD)
My goals:
186 What I was hovering at for the year or so until September 2013 when I went even more off the rails with emotional eating, 27 BMI--smack in the middle of the overweight category;
173 What I was hovering at for much of 2011-2012, and 2008-2010, i.e., first low-carb period. Also, just into the "normal" weight category, at 24.9 BMI
164 The weight I married at in 2000 and got pregnant at in 2002, inching down the BMI chart at 23;
155 My college weight, and what I dieted down to on WW after pregnancy #2 in 2008, 22 BMI--just in the middle of "normal" but still not optimal;
142 What I maintained in 2010 on LC, and incidentally, the weight I first remember being in jr. high school at age 13.5 when I reached my full height (5'10"), and started dieting If only I knew then what I know now! BMI of 20--solidly good for health;
132 60 kg. What I wanted to get to in 2010...19 BMI, healthy but thin;
125 The weight I wanted to be in jr. high school. Total fantasy, but a girl can dream, right?

No timeline for any of this, just JUDDD, tweaking, adding in more exercise gradually and seeing where it takes me. That's what I tell myself, at least, but what I REALLY want is to be in the 140s by the summer--though it's a touch unrealistic, I know.

Maybe i'm feeling optimistic...or crazy...but here goes:

145 - highest high school weight
138 - lowest high school weight
133 - lowest adult weight (i was 20 and a runner. I miss that)
125 - goal weight
118 - lowest teenage weight

I highly doubt i'll ever see the 118 number again, but you never know!

I love this! So here is mine:

182 - my starting weight this time round (almost, but not quite, my max)
164 - bmi to 30
160 - weight when I got married
154 - where I am now
145 - lowest weight I got to on Protein Power before I got pregnant in 1998
136 - bmi in normal range
130 - goal
127 - lowest weight on Conquer the Fat Loss Code in 2009
125 - lowest weight on Nutrisystem 20 years ago!

Getting into the 120's again would be amazing, but at 48, I'll take 130!

I'm 5'9" (was 5'10" but lost an inch) and 41 years old, and there's NO way I'd want to get back to those weights. At 145, I'm on the thinner side, and could probably pull off 135, but I'm not shooting for any lower than I am now. Just based on my body type with a smallish frame for my height, I've been as low as 106 pounds and comparing pictures at 120-140, even in my early 20s, I looked best at 135-145. You know your body best, so I won't try to dissuade you from the low weights, but I caution to try not to get too caught up in those numbers. JUDDD absolutely WILL get you as low as you want, but you may find you're happy with a slightly higher weight.

It's great to see this thread "wake up" again. My own landmarks have been so important to me along this road, and seeing you guys chime in with yours is just further motivation to keep going.

I love seeing that I'm not the only one with "pie-in-the-sky" numbers on my list of landmarks. I know I'll probably never see those lowest numbers, and like Dawn mentioned, probably never really want to. I realize that I'm in my mid/late 40s, I could look really drawn and unhealthy if I go there, and I don't want to do that. Was it Catherine Deneuve who said "after a certain age you have to choose between your fanny and your face." That's a hard one, but I think I have to choose my face.

You can always "hide" your fanny! I like my face thin, it's the only way I have bone structure...I'm just dreading the transformation of double chin to 'wattles'.

Congratulations, Carol, on being "merely overweight"!

It's heartwarming to see how many of those landmarks you've achieved, LCG.

As for discussions about aspirational weights - it's definitely all about the lean muscle mass and body fat, not the weight that governs how you look at particular weights. Annoying but true. (Kaleo of Go Kaleo has photographs of herself at the same weight at different muscle mass levels and it's a very obvious difference.) You can be 20lbs heavier but look a lot leaner if you have a good lean muscle mass and vv for looking heavier although being quite lightweight if a fair amount of it is body fat.

Thank you Slow - gosh, it's good to see you here again! I was literally wondering about you just yesterday. I think the last we heard you were helping out some elderly neighbors in need. I hope you have been well, and I sure am glad to see you back!
