I potato chips, cheetos, etc.

Recently, DH returned from a business trip and found a partially eaten bag of chips in the pantry. I realized in the past when I bought a bag (and he was traveling) he never saw the bag - it was long gone before he returned .

LOL! I love them too. However, I have half a bag left on top of the fridge and won't be eating any today (DD). I feel so much more in control! Bf doesn't like chips all that much and won't eat them unless there's absolutely nothing else to snack on. I don't go crazy for cereal and never eat it, so we both get to enjoy our snacks without worry that the other will eat it all!

My NSV is that the scale is not being cooperative... and I'm OK. I'm not panicking, I'm not trying to figure out a tweak or plan a hack... I know JUDDD works perfectly and my scale will start to play nice before I know it! That is amazing to me!!!!!!!! Truly, truly, amazing!

Even when I was stick skinny, I always wore large shirts. I'm long-waisted (average legs) and the girls take up a lot of room. Medium shirts don't reach my waist.

I posted this on the Valentine Day thread & sven said it should be posted in the NSV thread, so here goes.

"I've been doing the potato hack the past 3 days & I'm down 6 & 1/2 lbs!!!! I guess a lot of that was water! I did seem to be bloated a few days. Today is an UD & I had mexican food for lunch & only coffee with sugar free swiss mocha for breakfast. I did something I've never done before........I ordered a lunch meal(it's smaller), instead of off the regular menu & then when my meal came, I asked for a to-go box. I put 1/2 my food in it then, finished off everything else! I've never had that kind of "will power" before! Made me feel really good! I'm probably going to do potatoes the rest of the day. Not sure yet.

Cheetos are safe from me. I don't like all that fake coloring. Now plain potato chips don't stand a chance at my house.

Shari, did you do UD and DD with the potatoes or about the same calories every day? I tried doing it on one of my DD's a few weeks ago but felt dissatisfied and hungry. With the success of some of you, it certainly makes me wonder if I should try it again!

I want to add a HUGE NSV to this thread. The biggest NSV for me is all the support and encouragement and hand-holding (yes, I've needed it from time to time) I've gotten from my JB's since I've been on LCF. I have lived with this excess weight for nearly 13 years, gradually creeping up, and NEVER had the tools to do anything about it (for any length of time, or for any true effectiveness) until now. I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. I got some more compliments today on my weight loss and I am thrilled to be on this journey with all of you!!!

First off, I'm with Carly! We get just as much encouragement from you!! I've never seen a bunch of people who genuinely care about how the rest of us are doing!! Just makes me want to hug everyone!

Yes, I do UD & DD rotations with potatoes. On a DD, I usually wait until dinner to eat most of my 400 calories. If there are any left, I have another small potato before bedtime. On UD's, it's hard to get all of my calories in. But, today because of eating out, I won't have any problem with that. So, I fully expect the scales to be up. But, that's ok. It will drop again after my next DD!

Dawn, I've always worn a larger shirt than my pants. Now, it's because of all of the lifting & tugging I've done with my son over the years, I've developed a pretty good set of arms & wider shoulders. But, I'm ok with that! I'd much rather be comfortable! My 'girls' take up very little space!! Having 4 kiddo's made them disappear!

Shari, you said it was hard on UD's to get in the calories (from potatoes only, right?), but not today because you were dining out. Does that mean you'll eat potatoes only at the restaurant? I'm just trying to figure it out, lol.

Cindy, when I eat only potatoes on my UD, I get so full & satisfied with just potatoes that it's difficult for me to get in my UD calories. But, because I ate out yesterday, I had higher calorie foods at the resturant. I didn't eat potatoes at the resturant. I had fajitas. Today will be a regular potato day for my DD. So, I will try to wait until dinner time & eat most of my 400 calories then. It just makes it simpler to do that & I get full.

You are doing brilliantly Shari.

Cindy, we are all here for each other. that is so much a part of the JUDDD magic. You are already giving as much help and support as we have given you. What goes around comes around.

Only more so here I always think.

You guys are so great!

I still don't fully understand the potato thing, but that's just me

I wanted to say-- my hands don't get numb anymore. !

2 weeks ago, numb, a lot. I figured, extra water bloating. Down a few pounds, and no more numbness!
