Kudos to you on you on the 2's. I only want to hate on you a teeny tiny bit. I kid! You've worked so hard and you need to rock those size 2's.

Single digit sizing!! Whoo hoo...

And Lisa congrats on moving down a size also... I was XL tops just a few months ago - you will be out of XL and into L before you know it!!

I've never in my entire life worn a single digit size - but with vanity sizing and knowing which brands run big... it will be in my future! LOL....

Yes, but you better than anyone, know I was not this size 2 years ago.

Just remember, ladies and gentlemen, all the times we tall people get the stank eye because we get more calories, or the guys get the stank eye because they lose faster with more calories . . . . I will never, ever, ever fit in a size 2! I still get to get mad at all you petite people.

I have a giant garden tub, which I use often - which also means it needs to be cleaned just as often - and it's a HUGE pain in the butt - sigh.......

Anyway, I noticed that it was easier than usual to clean today and I finally figured out that it was because there was a little less belly between me and the tub, which made it easier for me to hang over the side and scrub!!!

A bit of an odd one but a victory to me nonetheless!!!!!!

I've just caught up on 3 weeks of NSVs. What wonderful uplifting reading.
I laughed, I cried. I felt such love emanating from the support here. You're all amazing!

I used to make a lot of my own clothes. We could get cheap locally-made cloth and it was my recreation at weekends. I'd put a play on the radio and make a dress, while DH went to a cricket match. Very satisfying.
However, as Cindy notes, the UK textile industry was hammered in the 80s and cloth no longer comes cheap.
Patterns are expensive too. Nowadays, it's cheaper to buy ready-made - plus you can try them on first!

I never was good at alterations though, so kudos to those of you who are remodelling your old favourites. I do recommend a little needle-threader for those who are having problems with unco-operative needle eyes!

I've been having bra problems too. I discovered this excellent short video that helps with finding the perfect fit: Very helpful - I'm now wearing the band tighter and the straps longer, so that probably explains a lot.
It also confirmed my suspicion that the cups of a 34DD are exactly the same size as those of a 36D. Now where's the logic in that?!

Grr. I'm trying to watch the video and have no volume for some reason. I adjusted the volume on both my computer and on the video window. I'm destined to never learn how to properly fit a bra!

That video is really helpful! Thanks Flossyliz. I'm needing to spend a couple of hours just trying on different sizes and styles and see what really fits me at this point. I keep putting it off because my shape has been changing so much lately that I don't want to invest the time and money only to have it not fit again in a few pounds. But the alternative is keep wearing my once perfect but now not so great ones. I just wish they weren't so darn expensive! I like to have at least a weeks worth, and that is quite an investment!

I only have 4 bras that semi-fit. I have to wash twice a week, but I'm not willing to invest the time and effort either until I'm sure they'll last a while. At $30 or more per bra, it's too much of an expense, and I can never find cheaper bras that fit right.

I only have 2 that semi-fit! I wear each about 3 times before washing, but I exercise in sports bras so the regular ones don't get sweaty and yucky. Sometimes Kohl's has good sales, but I just get so frustrated trying to find one that fits.

From yesterday, I've had no volume either! The speaker icon on the you tube videos has a cross after it. Maybe it's after some recent update. Every time my computer tweaks itself it seems like a backward step! If you discover how to fix it, please let me know. Meanwhile, I'll ask my IT techie son tomorrow - if I can catch him!

Youtube sound instantly restored by using the slidebar next to the speaker icon.

Who'd have thought it would be that simple?!

I've no idea why it set itself to silent though!

I've reset the volume a couple of times to no avail. I have Windows 8 and it's buggy, so it might be that.

I saw a new infomercial yesterday for Jockey Bras. Have you seen it? They send you a fitting "kit" and you find your perfect size and order from them. At $60 a pop, I'm thinking NO. But they do look like nice bras.

Everywhere I go ladies are having trouble fitting bras... what's up with that? I have the same problem - already went once to find new bras and had no luck... back to my old ones that semi-fit. Carol - I have to look up the Jockey bra kit, although I don't spend that much for bras - I always look for a sale!

Had a NSV this weekend - heat returned to my area and I dug out a pair of capris, as I had packed away my summer things. I love this pair - they are red, size 12. I wore them years ago, but hung on to them cause I thought they were cute. I was so excited this summer when they fit again!! This weekend - no need to unzip - they slide on and off... I was bummed cause I love them and excited that although my weight hasn't changed much, my body obviously has!

These tend to be my favorite NSV's. The scale might not change, but the inches are fading. The pants definitely do not lie. Send those capris to the goodwill Goner.
