Purging (of household STUFF) is totally awesome! I didn't realize how much dust accumulates in that bedside drawer (which I do keep open most of the time...).

Melinda, WOW, I can just see you wrapping like a burrito in your coats! What are you going to replace them with for winter? I can recommend Eddie Bauer for down-filled. I have a car-coat length, and a full length duffle for walking the dog... I know it gets cold down your way the way it does up here (um, depending on where you are, you might be further north than me! .

Cindy, you are stunning! what a change! And there are lots of ways to post a picture here-- PM me if you ever want to upload another one

Nice work all around JBs! This is such a positive place to visit during the day!

LOL Burrito Melinda! Cute. Hope you found a WARM coat that fits you better!

My DH is the seamstress in our family. He pretty much only sews patches on uniforms and such, but I might have to let him experiment on some of my "too big" clothes this year!

Melinda - WTG on getting rid of your "fat" coats! What a great idea! I haven't gotten out my jackets and coats - don't really need them for awhile yet here - but I know I'll need to get rid of a few. I may try to sell them on Craigslist since they're in good shape. Hmmmm....

Cindy, you were beautiful then, just as now. But you do look completely different!

Soren, I absolutely LOVE purging stuff! It just feels so good to make new space and lighten the load.

Goner - counting down with you!

Had a NSV today - getting dressed for work and realized last fall as I was switching my wardrobe over to my warmer clothes - I was always looking for the tops and slacks that were loose enough to hide my muffintop - bought a lot of XL tops to have the room in the midsection even though the shoulders were a tad big.

Fast forward to "only" 5 months on JUDDD and I now think - hmmmmm which pair of slacks are the LEAST baggy and where's my belt! - I have already given up on my size 14s - my big 12s are too big and now the smaller 12s are getting loose?? I don't own a size 10 cause I truly believed I'd NEVER get there.

I would NEVER have thought I could actually lose the extra weight - when I turned 60 I just accepted the fact that the midsection spread was what happened... nothing I could do about it (always mindful of my diet and would go on and off diets without a lot of success with my midsection - apple shaped body - I even use to exercise and trained and walked a half marathon at aged 57 for the first time - muffin top and all - walking didn't reduce it much).

I could have cried this morning as I thought of last year and being ashamed of my shape and always mindful of whether the spare tire was hidden well enough every day. I can't grin wide enough when I catch my reflection in the mirror now. Granted I have a small "bulge area" in my lower abdomen, and NO ONE wants to see me naked... <wink> but I look darn good in clothes now. I am ready to buy a size 10 and truly believe it isn't a fluke, or a 10 minute wearing and WHOOSH I gain the weight back!!

I'm hooked on JUDDD!

Fantastic NSV IMO!!!!

Labs drawn pre JUDDD in Nov 2011 and then just last month show a drop of 30 points in my cholesterol!!! It had been creeping up for years even though I was eating "right" if you know what I mean...lowfat for years then LC. It was barely in range for years then last year 210, now 179!!. All the other cardioprotective markers are good too.

I was always curious if there might be a correlation between JUDDD and lowering cholesterol. Even maintaining for over a year and only loosely doing JUDDD has shown results. I am a believer!

Now back to refocusing WLM more and hoping to see a "pants on the ground" moment soon in the future.

Goner, be sure to try on 8s when you go shopping. You might be surprised! I bought new size 10s when my 12s were getting big and was ecstatic until a week later when I realized I fit in the 8s!

Barb, love the health marker improvements!!

Barb and Goner great NSVs. I agree with Dawn... Try the 8's. The brand and the store make a big difference too. At kohl's I need XS in everything and I'm not extra small. Some pricy designer brands I can take a 6P, but most 6P are too big. I try on everything before I buy. I don't think I'll ever be able to hold up a dress and say, yeah that will fit without trying it on.

Barb, love hearing about the health benefits of JUDDD too. 179 is a great cholesterol reading. I am getting mine checked soon, and I hope my results are better too.

I was trying on dresses last night for an event I have today... And for kicks I put on a size 8 I haven't worn in probably 13 years. The arms were definitely too tight, but it zipped all the way up! And didn't look too bad (as long as I stood "at attention").

Scarlett, that's wonderful! Size 8 sounds so good, and you've done it. I'll bet a different dress with different arms would fit!

That's great! Try it on again soon or you'll miss fitting in it at all. I shrunk out of things because I thought they would be too small and by the time I tried them on they were too big.

Thank you for the kind words... and I can't imagine even contemplating a size 8, but thanks for that thought!

Barb - great improvement on your cholesterol!! I can't wait to have mine checked soon... as I've always been HIGH.

So I wanted to tell you all this on Friday, but I had phone drama and no internet. Anywho...

I went to dinner and shopping with friends Friday night. The dinner part is always fun, but I hate shopping with the skinny girls. We're in Old Navy and I picked up all these XXL's. They looked horrible and frumpy. So one of my girls says 'Li, try on an XL and I just rolled my eyes at her because I haven't seen an XL since 2005. I cave, tried a shirt on and it fit. It frigging FIT!!!

I was so excited and I put that first shirt that I tried on this AM. Perhaps in another 40 pounds I won't want to stab my friends in the eyes when they complain that their size 2 jeans are too big.

I think in another 40 pounds you probably will only want to slap them. I will never, ever see size 2, so I foresee always wanting to slap anyone who is one. Sorry any size 2s out there!

LISA!!! That is so fabulous!!!!!! I wore an XL or XXL right before I started Juddd last fall. You are going to blow on down past the XL quickly girl! I bet you feel GREAT!!!

Ah, LCG, never say never gf!!! I am running over to say that while shopping for my 3 kids' bdays this afternoon, I decided to run in to Maurices to get a smaller pair of my favorite jeans. I happily pulled on the 5/6. Unbelievably, they were loose. I kept them on and ran out to the jean display and the lady goes, "oh, those are too big! What size are those? You need the 3/4" LOLOL!!! (trust me, this color/style runs a size large, no way I'm a 3/4, but that was some funny stuff!) So again, never say never! I love my 8s, to have a vanity tag that says 3/4 go on this bod is some crazy stuff!

Oh Melinda! I love it! Personally, I think you're way smaller than you think you are.

I've never been in anything less than a 6 since puberty, so I don't see it happening now, but if I can find a brand that allows me to wear smaller than that, I may have to buy a lifetime supply!

I was standing in front of the TV doing my hula hooping and I had an itch on my stomach. I reached down to scratch it, and my stomach wasn't where I though it should be, as in not sticking out as far as I expected it to be. I think the fact that I was distracted shows what my subconscious thinks my body still looks like. I guess it still has some catching up to do!

I'm mostly a 4, but have a few 2's- I have JUDDD and my buds to thank for that... otherwise I'd still be sporting my 20's.
