Dresses are hard. I need a 6 on top and a 2 on the bottom, so I don't always luck out with dresses, but this summer I got very lucky and got 5 or 6 that fit really well.

I know that feeling great in a dress is one of my favorite NSVs.

LG I'm sure you rocked that jean dress and Melinda we want you in a dress pronto!

To me, skirts or dresses are the same thing, lol. If I'm not wearing pants at work, that's a plus. Granted, I will be wearing pants at least 3 days of the work week, most weeks.

Flutter, you need to get some skirts and dresses. You look so pretty and tiny.

Carly, I am the opposite of you. My jean dress was boxy on the top and looked too big (to me), but fit snug on the hips.

Doubt it'll happen, carly! I don't understand how I can be in jeans as small as they are. My stomach is icky. I can't imagine a dress looking nice on me at this point!

I don't have Spanx, but I did wear some control panties, and it does help a lot.

I tried spanx, it was not a pretty sight. They made me kind of weirdly egg-shaped, so I promptly untried them!

Yesterday, I noticed I kept walking on the hem of my jeans. They were really trailing on the floor

Today, consulting with my new friend the bathroom mirror, I realised that I haven't lost 2" off my leg length but my old classic rise jeans now rest on my hips instead of fitting on my waist!

(Did ever I tell you about my wonderful new JUDDD waist ......?)

This is an amazing revelation because recently I've been firmly attached to my sofa and, as anyone who does the daily weigh-in thread might have noticed, I've not exactly been doing low DDs either!

Three cheers for sirtuin. I could get to like this WOE!

That's fantastic Flossyliz! And I assume your crotch and the jeans' crotch were nowhere near each other. Not the best look. Droopy drawers! New jeans for Flossyliz!

Yes, the crotch is definitely auditioning for a skateboarders' convention!

These are my around the house jeans though, so it doesn't really matter. My best jeans are lower-waisted and I had to keep hitching them up. So, I put two big darts in the waist but I now have two weird promontories in the small of my back from the darts and have to wear them under loose tops.

I've spent some time this summer looking at several brands, including some quite expensive ones, and failing to find a good fit. Fortunately, Sainsbury's have got in their new Autumn stock and have some classic rise jeans that fit beautifully for only £12, so I think I'll treat myself to another pair asap!

My weight is having a magor impact on my health. In paticular I get winded verry easily.
I have been back on track 18 days now and as of this morning I am down 14 lbs I know
a lot of that is water. But even more inportant than the weight loss I don't get winded nearly as easy and my blood sugar is in controle again.

Fabulous, E.W.! Keep up the good work! My doctor is a big fan of exercise for taking down the blood sugar, and what an amazing thing it is to notice that you're getting less winded. That is a true quality-of-life gift you gave yourself!

I had a weird NSV. Yesterday I went to Nordstrom Rack to buy some fall weekend clothes. Last fall I weighed about 140 so most of those clothes are way too big. It's getting cool here and I just didn't have much for causual weekends.

This morning I was thinking about the few items I bought and I realized that I can walk into any store and pick things off the rack and they fit. I had gotten so use to the Plus Size dept where basically nothing fit well and nothing was flattering because I was really too short for those clothes. Shopping used to be such an exhausting and depressing struggle and now it isn't!

That is so funny. The last time I went bra shopping I left empty handed. I really, really think I should be a C, but that wasn't going to happen. I have 2 comfy 36Ds that are slightly big, but I'm sticking with them for now.

I can do 34, but then they drop down to 2 clips in the back and not 3 and those are too flimsy for my girls.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful NSV's!

E.V., congratulations on your outstanding loss! I see a physician in Tyrone and she is an amazing naturopathic MD. She is helping me get my hormones in balance and has identified a genetic problem that I have..we'll address that tomorrow.

Carly and Kissa, you are both so amazing and inspiring! Shop on, girlfriends!

I guess we all need a Spanxing!

It really is wonderful Carly! Plus sized clothes are so disappointing, and only contribute to how bad we feel when we have extra weight. Considering the overweight population is so large, it's amazing that the marketplace is not catering more to us.

Crazy how that fat mentality stays long after the fat has actually gone.

I'm planning to go get a professional bra fitting soon. I seem to have been losing more on my upper body lately. Mostly in the ribcage and arms/shoulders, but a little in the cup area too. I want to know what the proper size and fit are for me. I figure I'll need to do that again when I get to goal, but that's fine.

Don't get me started on bra shopping. Ugh.

My band size is 32-34 now, and I'm wearing 36DD on the tightest clasp. I've tried 34D bras and I spill over the top, but the DD is a little big. I think they need to make an in-between size for those of us who have to roll them up and stuff them in. Plus I'm having a really hard time finding 32 or 34 DD. It seems if your band size is smaller it's assumed your cup size will be smaller too.

Finding a good bra is so amazing. I go to a company called Bravissimo, they are on the net...

I now wear a 30 G, and there are so many lovely bras in their catalogue. I am sure you must have something similar in the States.
