Bra - less sounds wonderful to me. Sorry to hear about your bra-less journey though Carol. Hugs. I am quickly growing too small for my current bras - and given the effects of gravity on 60 + year old girls. The end result isn't pretty - but definitely smaller. Smaller is good.

Love coming here to read the NSVs. Great job Mike on trying something new with your exercise - and what a lovely surprise to do 16! Way to go!

I love that you were able to do so many, the first time you tried! Congratulations. Does it make you wonder what else you might be able to do, that you haven't even considered?

Well I've signed up for a Color Run 5K in September, a Zombie Obstacle 5k in October and may do the Warrior Dash at the end of September. Just starting to test my limits!

It took me a while to realize that size 6 and 8 shorts don't have enough of a waist to need to be folded. They just "fit" on the clips.

Wowee Mike! You're amazing!

I just posted this in another thread and realized it's a great NSV. I haven't had a headache in I can't even remember when! Knock on wood. I have always been headache prone since childhood. I get tension/stress headaches, TMJ headaches, allergy headaches, caffeine withdrawal headaches. I've never been diagnosed with migraine, but a doctor did tell me that some of my symptoms matched up with mild migraine. I've never wanted to admit that I may have migraines since I didn't get an actual diagnoses, and I don't have to take anything very heavy duty for them - just 800mg ibuprofen, which is strong enough.

Anyway, that's big for me! It's crazy weather around here (monsoon season) with all the barometric pressure swings and dust flying around, and normally I would be suffering. I'm not! Cool!

Wow Mike, awesome chin ups! I hope you continue to surprise yourself with your abilities.

Carol, that's wonderful news about the headaches!

I'm in the middle of another wardrobe purge and have been grieving (very slightly ) over some lovely clothes I've had to pass on to new homes. Yesterday, I tried on a gorgeous fit-and-flared skirt, which was way too big. I hitched it down to hiplength where, under a long top, it looked like a very elegant ankle-length summer skirt. Unfortunately, it wasn't content to stop at my hips – I could pull it off without undoing the zip!

This major clothes chuckout has suddenly coincided with a purge of unwanted books and items of furniture. So the house looks like a bomb's dropped, as DH and I drag out stuff, vet it and decide to let it go. We're negotiating piles of boxes waiting to go to the charity shop.

This is very interesting because I have a theory that at least some of the extra weight we hold is an external symptom of stuff we're holding inside – emotions, negative stories about ourselves and life, etc. Thus, as I've lost weight, that is now being reflected in the appearance of my outer world.

Have any of you found you ditched more than just weight on your JUDDD journey?

Yes! And the other way, too, when I get rid of stuff (emotional or physical) it is easier to eat well and get rid of some weight.

So here is my slightly weird NSV. DW and I went to Kohl's so I could buy some new shrugs (I won't wear sleeveless because of loose skin). I picked out 4 cute ones all XS. I said to DW "If I need an extra small what do really small people get?" DW was like "What size do you think you are? Do you not think you are small?"

I was like and .

Sometimes I see it and other times I still feel fat.

It's true Carly. If you're not tiny, then I don't know who is! XS is something I bet I'll never see.

How is Chelly doing? She hasn't been posting as much. I hope she's still doing okay and enjoying JUDDD.

Can I claim being told I look way younger than 45! Although as I lose weight, this may not always be true!

It truly is the most motivating thread isn't it. I love reading here almost daily. It reminds us of all the many benefits this gives us.

Vicky you will look even yunger as the weight shifts, I am certain.

So glad to hear that Chelly is doing well.

My niece came over yesterday and the first thing she said was 'You've lost eight, looking hot!" I was with her at Xmas and was the same weight but JUDDD is still sculpting me I am sure.

Off to the gym shortly, to give JUDDD a helping hand.

You may want to wait a little bit before you go hog wild. I've a feeling you may continue losing some inches and a few more pounds in maintenance. You might need a smaller size still! yay you!!!

I am sure you will look even younger when you lose more. I was always told I looked younger then I am 5 years or so, but after losing weight ( 33lbs) I was told I look like I was in my thirties. I think that is stretching a bit but I will take it.

So I was able to do 3 sets of 5 pull-ups last night at the gym. Tried it Saturday and it was a no-go but yesterday I was able to pull it off. They weren't the best form, and the last couple were very sloppy. But I'm still checking it off my list!

This is such a fantastic place to read for a little inspiration! Doing pull-ups and chin-ups sound impossible to me now. I think I was 14 or so last time I tried one. Great to read about your progress Mike!
Wonderful to read about the new clothes, shrinking waists and youthful appearances! No headaches is fantastic!

Right on! Funny how some days we can do things and others we can't. I know I have different levels of endurance on different days. Just think, you'll be doing more and more with better and better form all the time!
