It was something like yellow cake with funfetti or something. YUCK!!! No thanks! Maybe they will have my favorite chocolate cake next month hehehe

Thanks ya'll. I also told Joyce, my library dean, what I was doing for weight loss and she didn't bat an eye. She just nodded like it was a good thing. Hee hee, it is.

A co-worker told me today that she noticed that I was losing weight. I in return replied "It's the skinny jeans and UGGS." She continued to say that she could tell for the last week. It felt nice to hear, but the NSV for me was that I didn't need to hear it. I feel better and I noticed earlier that I felt a little lighter. Still it was nice of her to say that.

I didn't put this here originally because I wasn't sure if it was an SV instead of an NSV, but I was encouraged to add it to this thread too . . .

Asked to show my driver's license this week, I realized that I am officially lower than the weight printed on it! I was too embarrassed to list my real weight for everyone to see at the time (a few years ago), so I put down the lowest weight I thought I could possibly pass for. Feels good to be less than that.

Another pants NSV ... the smallest pants I had when I started JUDDD, I kept trying on from time to time and was happy to see how they got closer and closer to fitting. Well, I guess I waited too long between tries, because I tried them on this week and they were a little too big. Saggy waist. I might wear them a couple more times before they are hopeless, but I missed the best fit altogether!

Sweet lord your weight is on your license? If NY did something like that I'd have tried JUDDD ages ago. That is just cruelty. Bleh! I'm so excited for you that you get to put the real number on there with confidence.

Hahahha thank goodness NY doesn't have it!! Don't they know it's stupid to put weight on licenses? People lie anyway and with all the yo-yo dieters out there a lot of people are always a different weight anyway

Well, wish me luck everyone! Today my hubby told me that he is taking me shopping to buy an Easter outfit because we are going to a nice restaurant and he doesn't want me to wear old lady baggy clothes He is hinting he wants me to wear a short dress or skirt but I am not convinced I will look good in that kind of thing I will report back if I make it out of the mall alive!!!!!

I have no idea!! Our school's secretary usually plans one before any holiday/vacation. We are on Spring Break now (thank goodness) and she thought it would be nice to have. I do think it's a nice idea and helps staff morale but I wish they would do something fun that is NOT food related!

In the past I would have probably loaded up my plate! Now I am very picky about what I eat. When other people cook and prepare things I have no idea what they put in them so I'm usually not sure I should have it. I asked my friend what she put in her dish beforehand so I knew what I was eating but you can't go up to every person and ask for an ingredient list LOLOL

I have never been a food is the only way to socialize person and it drives me crazy about the number of things that have food attached. And I think schools and offices are really into let's have a pot luck to celebrate...whatever.

My husband works at a hospital and he says one office always has food around. They will line up all the file cabinets and put a tablecloth over them and have a huge buffet!! They just eat ALL. DAY. LONG. He was so happy to get out of that department. Needless to say, all of the office workeres are overweight. One is a friend of our family and she gained about 100 lbs since she's worked there!

Oh my lord, Kismet. We have potlucks too...and I have gained over 70 lbs since I started working there. I can't blame it on work though, at 5 or 6 potlucks a year. In fact, I'm no longer afraid of potlucks. There's always something left over for the next day if it isn't already a UD!!

The funny thing is, the last 3 potlucks have occurred on a DD and the day of my TOPS weigh in. I hope the next one is on a Friday, the day after my weigh in and fridays are always UDs!!!

So it 's not just people in the UK who find the notion of having your weight on the driver's licence to be odd?

Agreed on what a NSV it is

Lili feeling slimmer is the best NSV there is!

Christina, I love your Driving Licence story, thanks for sharing it here. Yes, all together now. The Pants Don't..........

Yes, Soren I love your new Avi. You are looking so lovely.

Kismet, just give the short dress/skirt a try. A new look on your new body may be just what you need. By the way, I think your husband is a keeper.

Food, food everywhere. Friends and family are what makes occasions really special. Though I like food too.

LOL - you guys are funny. WA and MN both require weights on the DLs. Mine says 150#. I'm kinda hoping that, when I renew, I will be able to LOWER the weight! Should be able to, I think mine expires in 2016!
Had a dear friend I haven't seen in a few weeks ask if I'd lost weight, so that was pretty cool. Gratifying!
I'm pretty lucky that there isn't much food where I work. Its a small office and most of us are at least somewhat watching what we eat. We'll do a holiday/Christmas party potluck, and usually some sort of treat for birthdays but there are only 8 people in the office total so that's not that much cake, in the grand scheme of things. Sometimes, though, clients will bring treats or interns will, and then its major will power! Christmas time is the worst - we're overflowing with treats all the time. When I was in school I was doing my externship over the Thanksgiving - Christmas season. As a thanks & goodbye I took in a veggie tray because the place was flooded with sugar treats. Everyone dove into the veggies as a respite from the sweets!

I was told to post here

As of last night I am in a size 6!
I was also told by some of the family I need to stop losing weight, that I was too skinny. Hate to tell them, I still have 14 lbs to go!!

Congrats to all who are achieving a non scale victory! It is the little things in life, right??
