So I was working out yesterday at home and my grown son stops by for a visit and comments "I remember that shirt. It was mine in middle school." Sure enough, boys size large = a perfect workout shirt for me. (he didn't want it back LOL)

I finally bought some skinny jeans (a la Carly's cutie patootie jeans!). They are size 12, black and dark grey snake skin patterned stretchy jeans. They are quite tight and I was a bit nervous about wearing them in public, but DH assured me they look great.

So anyway, we found out some old friends were going to be at Disneyland the same time we were. I almost didn't call them because it's the only "really close friend" I had who I lost touch with and I'm pretty certain it's because I gained weight. She's always been very petite and obsessed with appearances. DH also thinks she didn't want to hang out with the fat girl and that's why we lost touch, so I don't think it's all in my head.

Anyway, we ended up meeting up with her and her family at Disneyland, and DH assured me I looked really cute in my skinny jeans and a dark grey sweater. We had fun, and it was really nice to hang out with my old friend, her husband and their kids. Keira had a blast going on rides with other children, and I wasn't worried about being the "fat friend" anymore. DH told me later that my friend's husband made several comments to him about how great I look and how nicely I filled out my new jeans.

The spiteful, vindictive part of me rejoiced at that. Is that mean?

this story. This is a BIG BIG victory!! And I don't think it is one iota mean! Kinda mean of your friend in the first place though, to slight you for not looking the way she wanted you to look!

My non-scale victory is that I'm really happy to be doing a down day today,

after a couple of up days with holiday meals with friends. It feels really good to be doing a down day, rather than a down day being a "necessary evil" that I had to force myself through. I wouldn't have guessed that could happen, until I got somewhat used to doing JUDDD. (I've been JUDDDing for 2 months now.)

I am totally with LCG here (and no doubt that's part of why I have few IRL friends!). You are the better person even considering contacting her to meet up, Dawn, let alone actually doing it! I'm getting to the point that I may not want to wait until the 2nd for an official DD. I've been fasting or low cal till Dinner since 12/24, but I'm not as energetic as I've become accoustom to without proper rotations. I remember when I came back from my first vacation in May and slipped effortlessly back into rotations. Juddd is so easy to get back to!

8P's are all mine! I did some sale shopping at Nordstrom Rack today and got 2 pairs of 8P pants and a bunch or M and S tops. The girls are not really "small", but they fit in at least 2 of the small tops. I got a clingy size M sweater dress- I think my poochy stomach isn't ready for this dress, but DW said get it "It shows you off", which by the way I think she has very mixed feelings about

She has nothing to worry about

I'm not going anywhere!

(I took all the 14P, 12P and all but 1 10P out of the closet since they were way too big

I had to pick up hubby's rx (severe sinus infection, which means that's what I'm probably coming down with

), and Meijer just started doing their clearance on top of clearance sale-take an additional 25% off clearance prices. I spent a few minutes browsing (in my pj sweats

), and found three pair of size 8 jeans, clearanced to $6, plus the 25% off

I've just started wearing size 10 jeans like last week, but I bought them to wear in the future. Got home and I was actually able to get them on and button them

Now, they were super tight and I had a major muffin top, but I can say I was able to wear a size 8 jean

I'll put them away for now, but I bet after I lose the holiday bloat I've acquired and get in a few solid rotations, I'll be able to start wearing them

Well, I must say that I feel miles away from the 20's that I was wearing at this time last year, but still feel a distance from the 4's that I would like to be wearing, but hey I'll take this any day- the rest of the weight loss will be gravy at this point!

Great NSV's ladies!!! I have a pair of Misses 18's that I found in my spare room last night, put away years ago, and I was able to put them on (but couldn't zip them, lol). I can wear a 16W in jeans now, down from 18W. Looking forward to "regular" clothing, instead of plus size!
