This is also the first time I am losing weight and trying to better myself for ME. In the past it was always a vacation coming up, or I wanted to look better for my significant other(embarrassing, but true) This is a victory for me, I believe in myself more, I am exhibiting self control. I actually feel proud of myself, for maybe the first time in a long long time.
Tex, this is so eloquently put! I feel exactly the same way, and everything you said is true of me as well. Good for us changing for the better!

Potato hacking is, however, very, very cheap. But not nearly as tasty.
sven, you are making me drool with these descriptions! I wish I had access to these kinds of groceries!

Hey, yeah! I've noticed that too, and also that the collars of my shirts seem huge now and hang down over my shoulder like "Flash Dance". WTG!

Aww thx Mel and Cindy. I think I owe the fact that I am feeling this way to all the support that I see here, and also to the great role models that are here that I learn from-like y'all!

Ladies these are some truly awesome NSVs! I love reading this tread!!!!

I haven't measured in a long time, but even in maintenance inches are melting away. Yesterday I offically zipped and wore the smallest 4P I had. An Alfani pencil skirt from say 2004. I have a few 2Ps. I had thought never again- mostly due to the extra loose skin, but it may actually happen. It has been a long time since I've been able to look around the room and be one of the smallest people. I've always been short, but for a while I was oh so wide!

No more- thank you juddd!

Carly,
I told my mom this weekend that one of my non-scale goals is to be able to wear those shorty short running shorts - without needing gallons of Body Glide for my thighs, or digging them out every few steps. Translation: no more thigh rub. I'm not 100% sure I have the anatomy for it but, girl, YOU are my inspiration for making this happen!

Tex: I loved your post! What a wonderful summary of why you are doing this. A real inspiration!

Carly: OMGosh! I'm soooooo thrilled for you! You are amazing!

I can't think of any NSVs to report for me except that I finally had a string of 3 full days on plan. Mon&Wed were super wonderful DDs; So welcomed after a long break. Tues was an UD where I didn't come close to my UD calories due to lack of hunger, but, oh, well. I still consider it a victory because I didn't throw in the towel and go off the rails like I was worried about.

I was fretting that after so much time off and over indulgence that I would not be able to settle down and get back into rotations. But JUDD delivered for me! I did it! Three days in a row so far! JUDD is the easiest plan to get back on after falling off the wagon. In the past it would take me months (or more) to get with the program. By then a huge amount of damage would be done.

Now for another day under my belt. Fingers crossed. I can do it! I CAN!!

My DH just called from work and wanted to know if I would have some free time today. I told him sure, what could I do for him? He asked me to go shopping and get myself some new clothes. (I don't need any, having every size under the sun until I am below 190 lbs.) He wants me to be rewarded for my efforts and how hard I have been working on this. When you have as much weight to lose as I do, it is a sizeable loss before you get to where people actually begin to notice that you are losing weight. This is especially true with those people that see us on a regular basis. DH on the other hand, sees that I fix his breakfasts and dinners on DDs and do something dramatically different for myself. He appreciates that I want us to be able to do things that my weight keeps us from enjoying. We used to travel a great deal. A coach seat on an airplane is out of the question for me currently, but I can see it clearly returning later during this year! I am tired of feeling invisible. I am tired of feeling unworthy. I am tired of feeling unwell. I am tired of feeling bad about myself. I am tired of having others feel sorry for me. JUDDD is helping me to erase all of these negatives. Bit by bit, rotation by rotation, these things are changing and beginning to evaporate. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I am so thankful for this WOE and for all of you wonderful JUDDD BUDDDs! Have a terrific day today!

Wonderful, wonderful post. Your DH sounds like a darling person! You too! OMGosh! I so related to the things you said. I've talked before about how I felt invisible when I gained so much weight after being thin most of my life. Even sales people in department stores ignored me instead of always saying "may I help you" like they used to. I think I was invisible.

I was tired of feeling tired. I wanted to play on the floor with my grand kids and run and chase them and climb trees with them! Now I can. when I play on the floor I can pop right up instead of having to pull myself on a piece of furniture or something.

So, did you take your DH up on it? Did you shop? We want to hear about some new clothes! Oh, and I know you will be buckling up in coach on a plane in no time! Start planning your next trip!

Thank you ladies. The size 2P I want to use for the April challenge zips, but breathing and sitting are problems so that will be the April challenge skirt (Also courtousy of Alfani).

I had yet another leg related NSV. I can cross my legs x3 again!!!! I couldn't cross then period a year ago now I can cross over, tuck the crossed leg under and wrap the foot around. I used to always sit that way, but as I packed on the pounds that was out of the question. I had forgotten about that completely and yesterday I just did it instinctually and it shocked the heck out of me!

Kimmie
Kimmie- that is so, so, awesome! I really, really identified with the feelings you expressed about feeling invisable, unworthy and unwell. It took some getting used to- being visable again, but it's nice. I actually think in this last year I've gained a lot of respect and visability at work. I'm so thrilled for you to be on this increadible journey!
