I have a NSV that I hope I can maintain for the rest of my life. I have always been an emotional eater and drinker, drowning my sorrows in comfort foods and an excuse to consume more wine (or cocktails) than I should. The opposite as well - I celebrate with food and drink too. I won't go in to my back story but I have stress-eaten my way up to my current highest weight ever before I finally found the motivation to try JUDDD for real. I am currently going through a fair amount of stress, including a break up and this would normally have me surrounded with pizza, take out containers and empty wine bottles (only a little exaggeration) but this time.. not only did I have 2 DD's under my goal but on the worst day, when I was SURE I would give in, I only went 100 calories over my DD! That to me is one of the biggest NSVs I could ever hope for. To feel in control of my emotional eating is worth as much as the movement on the scale.
Even my UDs have not been UUADs! To me this is a true victory. |

Phoenix, that's a lovely NSV.
Mojo, I think we need a picture. Sounds beautiful. My NSV for the day is that I'm going to a Zumba class this morning, and then taking Keira rollerskating this afternoon. That's right -- DAWN is doing 2 forms of exercise in one day! For some of the veterans here, that's going to be shocking. ![]() A related NSV is that if I feel like I need to eat back some of my exercise calories, I just might. I'm not going to feel bad about it either. I'm going to let my hunger decide; what a concept. ![]()

Phoenix, I'm sorry you're having a rough time, but so proud you are controlling those old behaviors. It's a wonderful NSV!
Dawn, are you sure you're okay? I mean, you're not delirious or anything are you? Just kidding! I think it's great you're feeling so good and energetic. Have fun! |

You guys are awesome!!
This is the last time I'm going to count "not eating cake at work" as a NSV. It is happening at least once a month for the "birthday club". At this point I'm like, yeah, nice cake, but it doesnt' look THAT good. I don't need cake or particularly want it when I see it glaring at me on the table. It is just one of those things I can pass by and not touch now! It's more like a change in my habits now. Trust me, I would have just HAD to make copies 5 times that day (in the lounge where the cake was) and take some cake each time if it wasn't for my new-found self control!

Every time you resist that cake is a small victory, Kismet.
Congratulations on that new-found self control! ![]() It's great to choose to eat something sweet, rather than feeling the need to eat it just because it's there. Or fine to choose not to eat it at all, if that's what one wants to do. |

Phoenix that is so amazing. I am sorry that you are going through a tough time but I am delighted that you aren't using food and drink as a crutch. Brilliant work. I can see you rising from the ashes!

Those donuts were probably stale anyway! The last one i had was so blehhhh I didn't even finish it. That got rid of my donut cravings lol Also, I pictured the GROSSSSSS guy at work putting his hands all over the cake on the table (he just happened to be standing near the cake almost all day) so that will kill my appetite any day!

Was in a hurry yesterday to leave the house, so got dressed rather quickly....grabbed a pair of panties and didn't realize until I got back home, I had put on a pair of the size 8 that I had bought for goal. And they fit beautifully...
Now my size 10's (new and in the wrappers are definitely going to the women's shelter...out of my life forever.I love these NSV's, somehow they're so much better than losing a pound or so. |

I looooooove these!
I had a Groupon for a wardrobe consultant who came over today. Lots of nsvs: 1 i had a girlfriend over to keep me company, and got changed in front of her, and wasn't embarrassed (she's a bit heavy too, which helps) 2 i got rid of things that were too big or make me look big. The stuff he liked best was form fitting. Might even take in some sleeves and pant legs, bc too wide is bad. 3 ankle boots with zips, fit! But are very square toe, dated. Buh bye. 4 little bolero jacket? Fits and looks cute! Actually, all my blazers fit! Many comments were like, you'll get a few more months, but that will then be too big. ![]() So happy I did this, might do it again at goal! Oh, apparently, any pilling on clothes is a no no, so get a shirt shaver (i have one, just didn't realize the rampant issue!) |

Ladies those are great NSVs!
I had a strange one on Thursday. I have zero thigh rub and almost tripped myself due to not realizing that. I'm used to my thighs rubbing when I walk so I guess I had my legs and feet too close. I had 5 inch heels on and almost tripped over my feet, because I have to adjust to the fact that my inner thighs do not touch anymore unless I squeeze my legs together! |

I bet you had fun trying on clothes and tossing the ones that were too big!! You will look awesome in your new clothes. I actually have some little jacket type thing that someone gave me (she lost weight and they were too big for HER) and I think maybe it will fit soon. It is sooo cute. I really want to wear it!

I am a stiletto hoarder. It's not normal, but I wear them all. When I have to get rid of o pair they have been worn to death. Let me just say that wearing them at 125 is more enjoyable than even 15 pound ago.

Hahah this made me think of that episode of Hot in Cleveland when Victoria designed those fancy high heeled shoes that were sooooo painful to walk in that nobody could actually wear them. They ended up being used for women in wheelchairs who could not walk. I think most of those fancy shoes are so beautiful but I could not wear them unless I could sit all day!!!

Well, most of my shoes are fairly good quality and that helps for sure. Practice helps, too. I'm 5'2" so heels feel like a must for me. I find that being my appropriate weight takes a lot of uncomfortability out of wearing them.
