WOE: Whatever plan keeps me around 150 lbs!
While waiting for the other class to get out at the gym so we could go in for Zumba, a new attendee and I struck up a conversation. She was a little worried because she never did a Zumba class before. I told her she'd do fine and I just started a couple of months ago. I said that I am far from the "athletic type." She looked at me like I was crazy and blurted out, "But you're TINY!" I had a great chuckle at that. And then I told her all about JUDDD!

I love stories like these, because when I meet people like you (tiny ones I mean ) and they tell me they've lost a lot of weight, it reminds me that I can do it too! You're a great inspiration to many, and not just here!

YAY!!!! We went to Disney the first week-end of December for work. Yah, my boss took us all to Disneyland for the weekend cuz we're awesome. Anyway...while we were there we rode Splash Mountain as our second ride of the day. One of my co-workers & I got SOAKED!! Like, can't wear these jeans the rest of the day soaked. So off to the store to buy new pants. I was freaking out because the largest ones they have there are 12s and, at the time, I was pretty borderline 12/14-ish. Almost bought sweats or PJ bottoms but decided on a cute pair of khaki peddle pushers with Mickey embroidered on them. They were tight but I made it work - phew!

Put them on the other day and they were baggy! So my goal for when we go back in April for my son's birthday is to need another pair of these same pants in a size 10. Don't know if I'll buy them, but I'd like to need to!!!

Ladies, we rock!!!

Jen, I know what you mean about the clothes at Disney-- I think I'm going later this year, and maybe I won't be buying 2x and 3x tshirts... hmmm... that's an interesting goal for me to think about!

WTG Jen, I love that they are baggy, but I guess you haven't had much wear out of them. We can live with that though.

Great NSVs!

Two gym-related ones:

I'm feeling more fit now that I can do jumping jacks and other jump-type moves in my classes now. I used to do a low-impact version, but now I can jump easily ... and without feeling like I'm going to hurt myself

Then, my first "have you lost weight?" question! I've been going to the same dance-like aerobics class more or less regularly since last summer, someone asked me how much I'd lost and said she had noticed a while ago and meant to say something earlier. Then she asked if I was dieting too, so I told her about JUDDD and how I diet every other day.

Yay, Christina! I love it when class folks notice your losses, cos they see you moving and wearing unflattering gear (as a rule I mean, of course you may look glam at the gym...).

I so envy you being able to do high impact. Years ago I taught Jazzersice and I hate that I have to do everything low impact now. For me it isn't my size, just old age and wear and tear. Still I am out there and doing it!

I think it's awesome you guys are exercising, period! Last time I lost weight, I was so good about that. (walking daily with weight training EOD) I am just not motivated yet. Hopefully once spring finally arrives, I'll feel like it! You guys are AWESOME!!!!!!!

Christina, so lovely about the gym complement! I bet you felt great! It's wonderful you can do all the jumping jacks, etc, too. I don't think I'll EVER be able to do those again I have a super bum knee and even though I cam move faster these days, it likes to remind me on stairs that I am no longer a young whippersnapper. LOL!

Yennie, IKWYM! I'd be afraid of trying on pants at a park, too. How wonderful that you could do 10s now! You rock!

Cindy, I keep hearing people talk about that and have wondered! I don't think it counteracts with any meds, either, do you know? I have a few things I'm wanting to add in soon. (Resveratrol & ptero, plus magnesium waiting in my pantry!) I have been waiting until after my scopes & physical are done in March. I think I'll add this to my list, too! Thanks for letting me know it has worked for you! I know I'll feel better in another 20 pounds or so, but I could sure use some less argumentative knees. LOL!

Mine even used to hurt when I was lying in bed at night. I cannot tell you what a relief it has been to go up and down stairs normally. It has given me my confidence back.

Cindy, you just made me realize I should try glucosamine too... I can't believe I'm this dense
My knees often make quite the cracking/grinding sound... not any real pain, but something I notice and it freaks me out.

the is b/c I give glucosamine to my DOGS, and I know it helps them! Why I didn't think of it for myself... sigh.

I also want to try the ptero, so maybe my next order from netrition will include some new stuff

Thanks JBs!

Hmmm.....my knees click when I walk too! They don't hurt though (yet). My mom had one knee replaced almost 10 years ago, and I've thought it might be in my future too. Hopefully not. She uses the OsteoBiFlex which has Glucosamine & Chondroitin. I'll have to keep it in mind if mine start to hurt.

Great gym related NSVs and of course we know the pants don't lie, so those are great! I really have to try the glucosamine. I fear I'm beyond help, but it couldn't hurt. I've been back on the Meloxicam since December when I had my procedure, but I'd love to lose that and a few others I take for the pain.

I can't wait to be like all my gym going buds!!!!

I have an amazing vintage diamond necklace that was a brooch but I had it turned into a heavy necklace. I now have prominent neck and shoulder bones and yesterday wore the necklace for the first time in a while and it just fits beautifully in that little hollow that used to be a fat neck. Looked wonderful.
