A few months ago I probably would have taken 2...just because they were there and free LOL I just read a quote that said, "Little by little becomes a LOT" and I think this is true for me. I just have to keep looking at the little victories which will lead to my big victory...GOAL!
Awesome and the bolded part is so very true!

That's a brilliant realisation Kismet! What a wonderful thing to notice for yourself

I'm thinking someone should start a new thread: 101 ways to recycle an oversize tee shirt.....

I'll start.

1. Wear as a nightgown
2. Tear or cut into strips, use as dust rag
3. Paint in flag colors, display
4. Leave white and solve bitter disagreements (truce flag)

Those are great NSVs, Kismet! Yes, the scale rules us sometimes, but it's so important to realize and acknowledge those NSVs too. Sometimes they're more telling than that dang old scale number! Congratulations!

I noticed today as I walked back and forth at work that it was so nice to actually feel my pants loose around my thighs, and not cutting into my waist. It's a strange, wonderful thing.

I'm used to doing that funny move that you hope no one notices in order to get your pants from riding up in the crotch. Don't have to do that now!

Today I fit in a size 6 dress that has been collecting dust in my closet for the last 2.5 yrs. !!!

From this day forward, I'm done obsessing any longer over the number on the scale.

I'm also considering converting over to the 5:2 IF plan, starting the 1st of Feb.

Ann

Love the dress Slimnana.
I wanta do that woe as well.
5-2?
Fast 5?
They r different woe?
The every day fasting frightens me.
I can't get my mind to cooperate.
My mind gets all scrambled up when I try to make since of fasting everyday until evening-window eating time.
I guess it's broth EVERY morning til evening.
I've had my fill of broth, switched to campbells tomato, etc soup.
Yikes, mind spinning again about the change.

Thanks gals!

It's nice to know there are IF options isn't it? The 5:2 plan is only 2 days of 500 cals. (fasting) instead of 3 DDs. The Fast 5 is eating in a 5 hr. window of time and fasting with no food for the other 19 hrs. daily...yuck! HTH.

Ann, you look wonderful in that dress. That size 6 dress! WTG! Yes, I believe you're right to stop obsessing and call goal! Good luck with 5:2.

Congratulations Nana!! You look fabulous!! I suggest you do a side by side pic of you at size 10 and 6, if you haven't already, in the before/after thread. You look great in both, but it's amazing to see the difference!

I'm feeling a whole lot better today thanks to you all being here to cheer me on!

I would have never stuck with this WOE or not eating, if all I had to rely on was my scale for motivation.

Have a good night JBs!
