My goal reward is definitely a shopping spree, but as I don't socialise a lot maybe that is pointless
although, hubby and I are determined to go on a cruise this year, so I'll have to be heaps lighter and need new clothes for that!!
So I feel inclined now to change back to my "real goal reward" of upgrading my 50cc scooter to something a bit/lot more powerful

Thanks! I have visions of becoming a shar pei when this is all over, good to know that tattoos should be unaffected. I'm thinking upper back/shoulder where the least droopage should be.

I got the one on my shoulder at about 135 pounds and gained up to 300 pounds, and am back down to 170ish, and it's totally unaffected.

I got cocky and tried to go in a parking lot too fast with a sharp turn, steep hill, and then a car came out of nowhere and I had to cut too hard to the right. Totally my fault.

ETA: I aced my lessons, the written test and the practical exam. I have my certificate and am officially getting my motorcycle license tomorrow. Jeez. You'd think I would be more careful!

It's easy to make mistakes. You should be proud that you have the guts to get on a motorcycle at all, lol. I couldn't do it. I am strictly a vehicle girl. My ex had a beautiful motorcycle but I couldn't ride it with him because I felt so vulnerable...in my 20's I rode all the time with my bf. He had a crotch rocket. We would zoom through traffic like dare devils. I've lost all my nerve now.

Dawn- be safe- I'm like Cindy- too scared to even think about it.

About the bathing suit... I vote for the first one- the black and white one- So. Darn. Cute!

Well, I have my goal Pandora charm picked out. I think I picked that out around 175- nothing like patience and persistence.

The real goal will be to fit in every size 4 I own and maybe even a few of the size 2s

I will also pray for the confidence to donate every 2x and 3x which are stashed away right now.

My boss has the Pandora bracelet/charms. We were going to get her a book charm for xmas, but she said she had enough charms and didn't want anymore (although she didn't know our plan), so we got her a day visit at a local spa.

I vote for the sailor one piece bathing suit, and the red and white polka dot two-piece.

My goal is to fit into my size 6-8 clothes again, and to feel small enough to take swimming lessons (and thus wear a bathing suit in public). I'm hoping to get to the "small enough to swim" point by next fall. And, like Carly, I'd love to have the confidence to give away my plus sized clothes.

I would like to say that my goal is to wear a swim suit in public, but even when I was at my "ideal" weight, I had fat thighs and cellulite (since my earliest teens), so I know it will be worse than ever! I guess my goal is just to make it to my goal, lol. One thing I would like is to be comfortable wearing a dress again. I haven't worn a dress or skirt in years.

I think I might like to learn to dance. I mean really dance, not that 80s rocking back and forth on your feet and swinging your arms like the spaz I am. I'd like to learn some sexy latin dances and country dancing. Did I mention I'm a spaz?

Ohh you guys have some great ideas for rewards, I hadn't thought of a reward but am now LOL.

One thing I will definitely buy are BRAS! All mine I have now look like I bought them at a yard sale and are falling down off my shoulder constantly.
I'm going to buy at least one hot hoochie-mama bra and LOVE it!

You all have some great ideas..and I hadn't even thought about a reward, at this point...but..I think that is another uplifting thing to do..I'm going to start thinking about that...I think a scooter would be great fun...not sure if I can handle one..swimsuits are a great idea because I will be swimming at the local gym, after Jan.1..it won't be a pretty site, but I am determined that swimming will be the best exercise for me because of my bad back..oh..and dancing..now that would be something ..if I could ever really dance again..that would be a goal of the highest form, for me..I hope more people will post about this topic, it was a great idea, and is so encouraging.

cool ideas everyone!

love the swim suits... and encourage all to swim now, not later (I really do not think only slim people have the right to be seen swimming... I know I felt self conscious when I was 222, but once in the pool, it's about movement and enjoying the water, so I really hope ppl won't wait for that til they are "presentable").

for me, getting back into a nice wardrobe of dress pants and shirts from when I was first at goal will be my main reward. I will also be sure to buy a few new things... especially as I am going to Turkey in April to visit my daughter, and a nice skirt or dress or two would be lovely.

BF and I also talk about getting married someday... lol but he is not allowed to ask me yet, not one for looooooooong engagements... but I do dream about a wickedly beautiful gown... probably not white or even off white, but an evening gown.

my biggest reward will be to stop "dieting", although I understand with JUDDD we retain rotations, but at a higher level on DDS... I would love to be able to eat more, more days, and stop efforting around this issue... nevermind the dozen diets from age 18-39, but for the last 9.5 yrs I have either been dieting, or struggling to maintain. I am very very fingers crossed this WOE will let me rest some from all that, esp. in maintenance.

I've been buying new bras through ((Bounce)). They are pricy but beautifully made, and there's good advice on which bras for one's body type (totally different for the flat-chested and the, um, full-figured women like me). And they are affiliated with the excellent company Title IX, which has great athletic clothes for women and great customer service. If you want to buy bras online, check out the Bounce website.

I really like this idea! I'm a spaz to the max, so the kind of dancing I would consider doing is contra dance, which is partnered folk dancing. The husband of one of my colleagues started doing it, and he likes it so much that he does it almost every night. Maybe when I hit the non-obese point (14 pounds away for me ) and the weather gets warmer, I'll try doing some contra-dancing. Folk dancing was the only thing I didn't suck at back in school gym class.

I haven't really thought of a reward for when I reach goal. I would love a tummy tuck and a lift for the "girls" but I'm 57 and not sure I want to go through that at my age. I think my reward will be looking at a picture of me at goal and not cringing. So not there yet.

Great idea to think about! I think I would need to be 10 pounds below what I am thinking of as goal now but if I could get there I would love to train for and complete an Ironman as my reward. I know I couldn't do it with any extra weight at all as it would be such a huge physical challenge for me. I am also noticing that I am way more nervous about injury now to as I am getting older, but I am also feeling more confident to try things as the weight drops and stays more in control. It is inspiring that you are getting your motorcycle license Dawn and have crashed and by the sounds of it are getting right back to riding again. Makes me think that maybe I should try being a little braver.
One year maintenance goals is a great idea Jade!

My reward will be fitting in the clothes I wore when I met DH. That will be all the reward I need. But if I get something tangible, it will be diamond earrings. It's on my list anyway but it will be a big splurge.

My end goal reward is to go skydiving
I'm so looking forward to losing these 33.8lbs and yeah, my main motivation is going skydiving and also being fit enough and in shape enough to begin Krav Maga lessons.

Updating my wardrobe would be nice also.

Skydiving!! Wow that will be fun. You are very brave indeed to reward yourself with doing something so adventurous. Krav Maga sounds equally adventurous. Looking forward to hearing about it!

A tattoo sounds fun, as do swimming and dancing lessons. Also diamond earrings and new clothes would be fabulous! So many fantastic reward ideas here! It sounds like we will be a busy bunch!

I bought new clothes as I lost and then periodically after reaching goal (since it takes a while for everything to 'settle' into place).

I didn't have a grand goal reward though because losing weight was just a first step for me. Instead I celebrate each year of maintenance. After the first year I took a trip to the Caribbean. To tie in with weight loss I said that each year would always be somewhere bikini appropriate but last year we went to Banff (my boyfriend was working in Canada so we met there). It was beautiful and I'm glad we went but this year will definitely be somewhere bikini appropriate again.

I want to be able to enjoy summer! I'm always too afraid/embarrassed to go to bbqs/friend's places where there are pools.. so if I can get to goal, and then maintain, I feel like I will enjoy summer for the first time I have in a LONG time. I would also like to go on a trip, and not cringe when I see pictures of myself.
