My plan is to make the most of the days when I don't have an event ... but lately I haven't been as good about that! At some point I gave up on counting up days this month. Maybe that's not a good idea, as I didn't have any special events today, but I'm at this moment quite full and thinking I might've gone over my up day calories. Oh, well, there's always tomorrow to have a great DD! I do have two potlucks two days in a row this week ... but I'll just be eating more at one than the other, is all.

I just realized that Christmas is on a down day, so I need to work in an MD this week too ...

On Thursday I have 2 Potlucks!! One at work and one at my TOPS meeting. I will be avoiding the work food since I have to weigh in that night. The people at my job seem to LOVE potlucks. I've only been there a year and they've had about 5 of them. I don't mind skipping one!

We leave for a cruise on Saturday the 22nd and will return home on Sunday the 30th. My entire goal is to stay in control and just jump back on rotations as soon as we get home. New Year's Eve will be a DD, and it will all go from there!

This week just very casual get togethers, so I'm hoping to stick to my rotations and have 4 awesome DDs today, Wed, Fri and Sun. I would love to lose a pound or 2 before the big day.

Christmas Eve and Day will both be UDs for me, and very possibly UUADs. I may not count calories and just enjoy. Then 26th back to DD, and NYE is UD, back to DD on NYD. I hope this is how it works out anyway! I really want to end the year at 239 or less, but it may be a challenge at this point.

No matter what, I'm going to enjoy the holiday, and the people, and the food, and just get back to it in January.

I have added a timely reminder to my signature too.

I realize I screwed up some of the dates, so that I will have more 2 UDs in a row than originally thought.

Tomorrow is an UD (because today is a DD), and Wednesday will have to be an UD because that is our wine tasting dinner.

Oh well. As long as I don't gain weight, as long as I maintain through this holiday season, I'll be happy.

I used to always have that in my siggie, but I let it go for a while. It is such a simple but the statement.

Hope it helps some of us.

Love the siggy quote and that's so true! It's so easy to worry about not having the perfect plan in place. Or, to freak out if we do have a plan but then it gets changed. But really it's just a few days and then we have the very long stretch afterward of no holiday eating to get back on track and move forward

We can do this JUDDD BUDDDs

And we have JUDDD on our side.

Of course we will stick to rotations as well as we can, and thanks to the magic of Sirtuin we have a good chance of maintaining.

I totally agree. I am worried this could mean I wont stick to my rotations, but I am going to try as hard as I can

Talk about wishywashy, I just came to the decision that I am taking a holiday from food logging/dieting and all things related until the scale shows some change or sometime in January, depending on which comes first. Then I will decide what to do depending which direction it is going. I plan to celebrate when appropriate and eat light when it feels right. Only one rule - NO wheat as it does really bad things to me.

I did 3 UDs this past weekend and gained 3 extra pounds over my normal bounce. I did lose them after my first DD though so that is good.

I scheduled for an UD on the 22nd which is a day of travel which is good and then on the 24th which is our party day which is also good. I just need to stay on track the rest of the time and I will be good to go.

Nothing like being in Chicago (the city of FOOD) on a DD.

Today is an UUAD as I'm having 2 couples in for dinner tonight. Pigs in a Blanket, nuts, chips & salsa/Salad with DH's dressing/Nonni's chicken over polenta with lots of Parmesan/vanilla ice cream with hot fudge sauce and/or sweetened cranberries. The cranberries are the leavings from a cranberry liqueur recipe so we will be serving cranberry martinis and crans in champers.

This menu would've caused me to gain 3 pounds overnight no doubt. Now I know that by Friday it will be gone.

Rest of month will be usual rotations, excepting CE/CD and NYE/NYD when I will enjoy myself and chant GrannyPants mantra and remember Cindy's philosophy about what we eat between NY and Christmas.

I had a funny moment last night-I was telling my husband about everything that's coming up this weekend/Christmas Eve/Christmas, and mentioned that it was going to be hard to fit in a DD. My husband gave me a look and said that we would have to figure out how to tweak our eating plans so I could get at least one DD in. I was like, dude how do you even know what a DD is? lol. I guess he actually does pay attentions when I ramble on about JUDDD

Since I don't really have time to bake, and my workplace is a home office, my temptations/exposure to a lot of traditional goodies is very limited, thank goodness. I'm planning UDs for the 25th, 26th, and Jan 1st, with regular rotations between and after. I definitely won't be counting on those days!

I'm just looking to maintain through the holidays. My sister makes AMAZING chocolate chip cookies and I am having some this year! I was on LC last year and just looked at them longingly.

I'm doing back-to-back UD at my parent's house (Sat, Sun), DD Monday and back-to-back UD in Chicago with my DH's family (Tues, Wed). Then I go to normal rotations until Jan 5th when I leave for Cabo! DH and I decided we are not going to worry about doing normal rotations for those 5 days and just enjoy. We are going to still lift weights, walk on the beach and play tons of tennis so hopefully I won't come back too much higher than I left!

I'm making tomorrow a MD so my rotations will be right for Friday, as we have a family get together, then for Christmas. I'm not stressing about eating....but I'm also not making my usual cookies and goodies that wil sit around and tempt me, lol!

One of the reasons I love JUDDD is because it allows so much flexibility and adjustment. I'm not going to be on strict rotations again until after xmas day. Just too much going on to try and switch things around.

I've stayed low carb this week and not overeaten. weighed this morning and i'm down another two pounds so I'm grateful and kinda surprised. But eating small portions, having just a little of what I want, seems to be working for now.

Next week I'll be back to regular DD's and UD's.

We're having a TOPS potluck anyway tomorrow night so I will just wait until then to eat. I can't do 2 in one day or it would be an UUUUUUUUUUUD LOLOL
