My challenge for today ----------

This is a fill in the blank. Every day brings a new WOE and WOL challenge for me and I am sure for all my JUDDD Budds too. Sometimes if think if I can just focus on prevailing with that one thing the rest of the day will fall in line. I'd love to hear your challenges, cheer on your successes and learn from your success strategies.

I'll start.

My challenge for today is to avoid the morning bagels in the office. Even though today is an UD, bagels are a trigger food for me and if I start with them in the morning they lead me down a spiraling day of bad food choices. Today I brought a healthy breakfast from home and need to avoid those bagels!!! Wish me luck!

My challenge today is not to succumb to the family pressure and have cake at my grandmas birthday. I have already told one cousin there that I am watching my weight, so we'll see how this goes

My challenge today is to keep my UD relatively low carb. I've been allowing myself more sweet holiday treats lately, and yesterday's MD turned into an UD with alcohol and sweets. So even though I'm winding up with 2 UDs in a row, I want this one to be healthier.

My challenge for today is to not panic over a slight gain on the scale today after yesterday's DD and to continue rotations with an UD today.

THAT'S PEER PRESSURE!
It's not just the bagel itself, it what's follows it.
Im with YA. Don't touch, eat what's going to make you happy at the end of today.

I love the idea for this thread!

My challenge for today is to push enough fluids that I won't be tempted to go over my DD limit.

Woo Hoo - love all the great challenges and strategies. I got safely past the bagels this morning (whew!) but had two slices of pizza for lunch. No biggie. It's an UD!

Dear Trying...I know you can do it! Bagels used to be an every day food for me. I love(d) them! I guess maybe I still do but like you, I know they are a bigtime trigger and just not worth it.

I make my own flax OMM and they have filled in nicely for the bagels.

My challenge today is to get some exercise. The eating part is a lot easier for me than the moving part.

My challenge for today is to come up with a food plan for tomorrow's UD. We're having Keira's birthday party at a pizza buffet (you know, the kind with tons of games, pizza, pasta, cake!). Her birthday's not really until next Saturday (22nd) but we like her to have at least a week in between her birthday party and Christmas.

Great idea!! My youngest grandson's first birthday was the 11th & my Mother's(82nd) was the 13th. So, they can have their birthdays with a tiny bit of time before Christmas. Enjoy yourself! You've proven you know what to do!!

My challenge for today is to stick to the egg fast and not play around with other DD food choices. I hate weekend DDs. Too many food choices available and my mind starts wandering. Gotta keep focusing on the (hopefully!) positive scales tomorrow.

Thanks for the thread.
My challenge today is to explore the WOEs (PHD, potato hacking, LCHF, etc.) that make me feel best and still Count My UD-DD calories. I begin to fall off the counting while exploring - hoping, I think, that the amount I eat won't matter.
What I learn, every time, is that quantity does matter.
I learn that I get chunky when I eat lots more than I need.
And I relearn that I am a farrrrrr happier woman when I'm taking excellent care of myself.

My challenge for today is the same as it has been for almost a week...not feeling well. I really do struggle with staying on plan when I'm sick. In the last week I have had a sore throat, cold and back pain. The back pain is the worst because I was out flat for a couple of days and really couldn't prepare meals. There was some rotation...but not really good ones. Between the sickness and the never ending holiday treats, parties, obligations, etc. it has been a challenge.

wiiiifit! I'm so sorry you've felt so awful this week. Sounds like you got a whole year's worth of maladies in this one week. And bad timing during the holidays. I sure sympathise about the back pain. That really does knock you out of commission. Take care of yourself and feel better soon!

Thanks, LCG. Today is the first day I almost feel human again. So, the other challenge (not weight loss related) would be to get the house, the dishes and the laundry back on track. blech.

Challenge for today is to get over this nausea. It's a little better and not related to DD, I don't think. I've had it on and off for several days. Hypochondriac in me is worried.

Did a HPT and it was negative. Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My challenge today is to not eat just because it's "dinnertime" on the clock. My boss took me out to lunch (where I stayed on plan), but after that filling lunch (chacuterie plate, veg substituted for bread), I probably don't need much (or maybe any) more food today. I'll try to stick to fluids unless I get well and truly hungry.

my challenge is to not blow my DD due to the perfect storm of:
1. fatigue and weariness plus a sore mouth from a trip to the dentist (just to fix a filling, but still, the freezing, the drilling ) and lousy sleep for a while now (perimenopause, and sometimes, hunger)
2. wanting to be off work NOW and it to be an UD NOW
3. seasonal goodies all around (some of which have been sampled on UDs and they are mighty fine)

I am planning a hot bath, and a scramble of egg whites and sauteed mushrooms to top me out at 499. maybe some more tea.

tomorrow is a MD (1250), which is low vs. an UD, but quite a bit more food than a DD... then Sat and Sun are both UDs visiting my inlaws (who I ).

so hanging IN

I had a burrito (gourmet and delicious) as big as my head today at lunch. I DO NOT NEED MORE FOOD. I need to stop eating this evening and call it a night. I don't need dinner but I am feeling deprived. I have to over it.
