Had a good day so far - a 4. But, I think I'm eating too many carbs. Before this was VLC at 20g or less a day. Now, I'm hitting 50 or 60g on my UDs. I think they are causing me to hold water and be puffy. Also, my weight went up today after a DD which had more carbs than normal and my fasting bs was 98 -- I've had it down in the 80's the last week. Guess I better start watching the carbs again.

Gee, it helps to talk about it -- now I know what to do! Thanks

So far, about a 4.5. Had zero appetite until late afternoon, but I'm working on getting my calories in for the day. I think I've gotten too accustomed to waiting, and my stomach thinks it's another DD.

Going over on calories today. DH is making his chili for Christmas day and I'm taste tester -- in addition to the other food that I've already eaten. Plus putting some things together for the grandkids and snacking on candies. Yikes. Maybe I won't weigh tomorrow!!

It's been a good day, not very hungry after the muffin, had a chicken salad and some beef sirloin roast, and lots of peanuts. May have some kettle corn later if I'm hungry...or another MUFFIN!

Oh man -- once the snack gates opened, they wouldn't close. Went way over on stuff I never have in my house...now I know the reason why I don't have it in my house.

Only up a lb, so feel I'm lucky or it's JUDDD. Either way, it's do-able. On to DD today

Omg. Here's something amazing. Yesterday I had pumpkin pie, chocolate (rolos, lindt dark, and white), cherry cake, smoked salmon, cheese (many kinds), port, red wine, a bit of brandy, and more pumpkin pie.
Today I've had coffee and broth, and this broth is more delicious than anything yesterday. SO much more pleasure and taste when I'm not over-the-top eating.

Yours in multiple personalities,
Kristin

That's right, Kristin. You're posting about your DD in the UD thread.

Wow, UUD for me...sooo looking forward to DD tomorrow. I've vowed all the leftover Christmas food is now done and will eat no more of it! Really don't want to see the damage on the scale tomorrow! Today was a 1..or a 0.

It was on the rough side for me. If you read my post on another thread (can't remember where now), I had to basically fast until dinner so I could have the special leftover dishes for dinner, including drink and dessert. I don't usually do that on an UD and it irritated me to have to. I made it though, and thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and evening, so all in all, a win.

I'm looking forward to a good DD tomorrow, then one more day of yummy leftovers (I'm making a big turkey pot pie) on Saturday. I don't think I'll have to fast all day for that, but I'll definitely be eating lighter than usual through the day.

It was a high UD, probably closer to a UUAD I can't believe how sick I am-sinus infection is kicking my bum I do have potatoes and will do a potato only DD tomorrow, and probably Monday too-to give myself a 'reset' for the new year. But, today I'm just too sick to care about my weight

Sorry you are feeling so sick Sara. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

I had a great UD. Nothing until 3pm then a glass of wine and some crisps at a matinee.

Then for dinner a sirloin steak and creamed spinach with some chips (fries) and another glass of wine along with two slices of sourdough bread and butter.

One square of 90% black chocolate and a coffee later. Felt so much better eating simply like that than all the Xmas extravagance.

UD has been great. About 1300 cal so far. 500 to go.

Today is my Mom's birthday so we had lunch with family in her retirement home dining room. I had a cheeseburger and just picked at the bun, along with a few yummy homemade onion rings. then a little slice of birthday cake with a scoop of moosetracks ice cream i didn't finish.

I have leftover turkey simmering on the stove in what's left of the gravy. will have it over a little stuffing, along with some cauli casserole.

My SIL was passing out expensive chocolates so I have one for dessert. I hardly know myself being able to save good chocolate until later. but i'm still fulllll!!!!!

Back in control after the holidays, UD has been an enjoyable 5, made french onion soup, which I love
Stayed far away from the Christmas leftovers that are STILL in my fridge, told DH he will have to finish all that stuff up or it goes in the trash!
Feeling much better now that my carbs are back in check!

Really great! I'm doing LC this time around on JUDDD, and it's actually easier to get in all my UD calories. I've set my carb limit at a max of 30 grams for UD and 20 grams for DD. I'm done eating for the day and feel satisfied but not stuffed.

Trying a medium day today. Due to needing an ud tmw, a herd of our familys members are going to see the hobbit movie=popcorn. So figured 1,200 (little much) but..for today. We'll see what happens on devil scale next week.

It was a good UD. I did go over on calories by around 100, but I'm not sweating it. Is that even really over if you only rarely do that? I say no. Made a turkey pot pie with the last of the Christmas bird, and homemade banana bread. And wine. And a vodka gimlet. Oh yeah, and a Ferraro Rocher.

HB egg day for me tomorrow! I'd love to lose one more pound before the year is out!

I turned today into a UD, but have only had about 500 cals so far. Am making cauli mac and cheese now, and frying some talpia for dinner. Hoping for more of a MD.

Had a 1000 cal MD today even though I had allowed myself 1200. I never know whether to post this in the UD or DD threads lol! Not a bad day. I am experimenting with MDs to test a theory that I lose better that way. Here's hoping for positive results.

What are your calorie allotments, TJ, on UD and MD? I'd be curious to know if it works for you too. I am losing on more than 500 calorie DD's, so I know I don't need to go as low as Dr. J recommends. It will take longer, but hopefully also allow my body to get used to the weight loss along the way.

I turned my day into an ud ..The farmers almanac says the 31st and 1st are good days to begin a plan to lose weight so hello tomorrow to have an ud and the 1st to have a dd . And we will see if the almanac makes it any easier to fast and not feel deprived. That is what makes me a little crazy. dd s really aren't that hard just in my mind

So far, a solid 5. Ecstatic to be tolerating solid food after almost a week of soup and jello. Had 2 mini ham and light laughing cow sammies on tiny ciabatta rolls, dinner will be leftover lasagna, garlic bread, and flourless chocolate cake (I used the caramel Bailey's - yum). Later...a few drinks to ring in the New Year.

UD a 5, haven't been too hungry all day but that's good, saving calories for tonight. Making meatballs and also made some buffalo deviled eggs, haven't tried them yet so don't know how they turned out. We also have shrimps I love saying shrimps LOL
Guess I will have some champagne, too!
Happy New Year everyone, see you in 2013!

Had another UD. It's what I planned, but I still feel like I'm cheating. Last UD in a row tomorrow, thank goodness. I was doing very well until I "sampled" my candy-gone-wrong recipe. Still fattening even if it didn't turn out right!
