Looking for a recipe to replace my electrolyte tabs-powers.
I've only bought them. They are expensive I think. $10 for ? 12 tabs.
But they are very tastie. and I dilute them with water so they do last me month. But still salt is the main ingredient. Hummm. My first batch today taste like swimming pool water. It consist of one measuring teaspoon of honey, a actual tsp. caz I'd cheat! 1-8t salt, lemon flavoring. The flavoring says pure..till tasteless. Very gross! Will try real lemon-lime recipe. But thats a trip to the grocery store. I hope to be happy with fresh lemon-salt with water. Think that will work. |

The tabs-powders I buy are 10 cal - 25 calories. NOthing!
And they taste good main part, second day they keep me from being dizzy-yuke stomach.
I dilute them, one last me alllll day. Cheap in those thoughts. I'm going to groc shop today. See if I can improve on the swimming pool flavor. |

I'm interested to see what you come up with. I'm good with just broth, but I love how you're willing to experiment.

1/8-1/4 t lite salt, dash unsweetened koolaid and a little sweetener....in a liter of water. (Of course, you can add the lite salt to whatever drink you prefer).
If you are drinking 2L daily, use the smaller amt lite salt. 1/4 t is the maximum. I think this came via Dr Bernstein and it has totally taken away my leg/foot cramps. |
