There seems to be an overall prejudice or stereotype about people who are big...heavy...fat...above average size...whatever you want to label it. It is a shame this mentality carries over to SOME healthcare professionals.
When I was younger, I would be so intimidated by the way some of these doctors acted toward me. It started me on a path of not trusting them and staying away from the doctor's office unless I absolutely had no choice. Fortunately I have never had any major health problems, only been hospitalized for having babies. As a result I have read and learned a lot about the health issues that relate to me and think that keeping health as natural and simple as possible is the way to go....for me. I'm not a doctor person and have watched a lot of people in my life take loads of prescriptions, but never seem to get better. Losing weight is important to me because I don't want to take any drugs to correct something I can do for myself by changing some bad habits and improving the way I eat. And I am so glad I have found JUDDD to help me along with this journey. So far I am doing well, feel good, and sticking with it.
