Thanks for the welcomes! This is my 2nd DD and doing OK so far. Just had some broth after taking my three dogs for walks. They're quite spoiled so they each want their own walks - good for me as I get to go around my hilly loop three times - total of 2.7 miles -- not real fast, mind you, cause dogs will be dogs, and they have to smell and mark everything!

I'm going to look for that hot chocolate. Sounds yummy!

Welcome Arlene! So glad you joined us. Glad you're doing well with your DD too! That's the hardest part, and you've already conquered it.

Thanks for the welcome. BUT, blew 2nd DD day, up to 600 calories. Was doing OK, but then dd came over with grandkids and a pot roast with potatoes and carrots. Oh man --I stayed away from the potatoes and carrots, but the roast got me. I also had cooked broccoli and a small salad. I even weighed the meat first (but didn't enter anything into my tracker before I ate it. )

Suggestion as to what I should do tomorrow??

Well, it is only my second DD, so it's still a learning experience. BIG NOTE TO SELF: PLAN PLAN PLAN -- don't just eat, then enter.

600 calories is NOT a blown DD, especially when you're just getting the hang of it. If you go to the calculator, I think you'll find that 600 is still in weight loss mode, just at a higher percentage. No need to change anything.

Definitely not blown. 600 cal DD is a good DD. Some people never go lower than that (and some even higher) and still lose.

Thanks! What worries me is that it's 5:30 pm EST and I have the rest of the evening to go!

Got through my 2nd DD ok ~600c. When I went to bed, I was frozen -- one can't sleep when cold and since I don't have any pjs - yep, birthday suit here, I was dying!!!!!

I ended up putting on my Cuddl Duds - a bit large at XL, but I managed!! But the feet - hate socks in bed, but what to do about that. Ended up putting an extra cover just over my feet so I could at least get to sleep.

So, I think for my own Christmas present, will go out and buy a pretty pair of pjs.

This morning, an UD, I was starving, but couldn't eat like I normally do. Had weighed everything, tracked everything and then had to start subtracting as I got too full to eat. I guess that is OK to not eat too much - I didn't want to make myself sick.

Lots of trial and error going on here! All my reading on these threads has really helped. JUDDD is awesome so far. Down 1.2 lbs since Sunday.

I'm still losing but....

I haven't really done regular rotations this week. I've had company from out of town, lots of visiting, shopping, baking, getting ready for xmas.

Even so, I'm down a couple more pounds. I haven't counted any calories but haven't overeaten. I've been very busy and not thinking as much as usual about food. I've also been sticking to very low carb. I realize that LC is pretty much ingrained as a habit now. Yay me! Carbs, especially simple ones, are not my friend.

The plan is to get back on rotations after company has left, after xmas. Until then I will eat what I want, no overeating, stay busy, and enjoy family and friends.....and even snow!!! Its still coming down right now. I hope it lasts until xmas, but they say it will soon start raining again.

Two lbs is awesome. I agree that once low carb, always low carb!

Hi Arlene, thanks for the congrats. Yes, even without focusing on it, I find myself staying away from most bread, cereal, pasta and junk food. I do have a slice of whole wheat toast once in a blue moon, with peanut butter of course...yum LOL.

I was punished for eating cookies. I lost a filling eating crunchie cookies. Turns out my tooth was cracked. All the way to the root. That is why the filling fell out. Course the filling was 45 years old but..... I now have one less tooth (first tooth loss ever) and I have stitches so I will not have any problem eating low calorie broth, soups and soft stuff. Just in time for Christmas. Yea me. Whine whine whine. Now I feel better.
The good news is that I had no pain whatsoever so I am ready for when the pain killer wears off from the extraction and stitches. And in two months I can start the implant process. Where is the dollar sign emoticon??? Glad I was laying down.

Ow, not a good way to start the season! Keep taking the painkillers, may help you forget the expense of the implant.

Oh, Adi! Sorry to hear about your tooth! I was not blessed with strong bones/ joints/spine, but my teeth and nails have done well for me. DW has been quoted those high prices for implants- yeah !

Arelene- I will strongly recommend an electric blanket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would have quit JUDDDing for sure with out it. I have 2 as a matter of fact. A Queen size one for the whole bed if DW will let me turn it on and a twin size that I wrap my whole body in and turn up to 8!

Did I mention I hate being cold- I hate it! Thank G-d I love JUDDD cause my lips, fingers and toes are blue right now. I'm wearing flannel PJs and a robe that is so thick it is hard to walk around with it cause it weighs a ton.

I just say I'm shivering away the pounds, but seriously... get an electric blanket- in my experience the shivers only get worse
