Carly, the good is the good and the bad is the bad. You always see the good, and that is just amazing. You are an incredible woman.
Cici, I respect your choice although I wish we could be of help. Move forward and be assured we are here should you need us. Sending hugs anyway. |

Hi Everyone.
![]() Carly, I'm so sorry they can't pinpoint what is causing you pain. I hope the meds will give you some relief. ![]() Cici, I hope everything is okay now. I too reach for food (or alcohol, sometimes) when the going gets rough. ![]() Feet are freezing too, Flutter, and it's a UD for me. Think I'm going to put on some socks and get in the bed. ![]() |

Echoing the hugs and best wishes for Carly & Cici. Sounds like you are both in a positive frame of mind, regardless of circumstances, and that really is the battle mostly won. Kudos

I am on UD today, DD Saturday, & supposed to be UD on Sunday. I have a Christmas dinner on Monday evening so I need it to be an UD, and I need to change rotations anyway due to Christmas & NYE. I have dropped my calories pretty low right now...I do not lose w/o lower calories/low carb, and I want to lose 6-7 more lbs....then maintain. I want to try to make Sunday a MD, but not sure yet how to do that...is it both UD & DD added together & then halved. I aim for 200/1200...so 700? I could easily do 2 DD's in a row, I rarely am hungry...but I've heard it is not best.
Question for ya'll: What would be your advice for calories on Sunday? 2 UD's, 2 DD's, a MD? Thanks!!!

CPK, if you don't have hunger issues, I'd suggest making Sun. a MD. From what I understand, MD is 60% of your UD calories.

I'm having the strangest thing today. This morning I made my yearly triple batch of rumballs. I send them to family out of state, and give to friends and family here. There's still always plenty left. They are a favorite of my brother, an aunt, and a couple of friends. I like them, but they're not really my favorite, but I always "sample" several as I'm making them. It's an UD today, but I decided they are too "expensive" to spend calories on, so I didn't even taste them. So I get them all done and put away, and I'm feeling that heavy stomach, full of sugar feeling you get after too much candy.
It's all in my head! I didn't even lick a spoon or anything! I had a sausage patty and 2 fried eggs this morning, along with my coffee. Nothing unusual for an UD for me. Isn't it weird that my stomach was giving me all the cues as if I'd actually eaten 3 or 4 of them? I sure hope you can't absorb the cals and sugar through you hands! I rolled those darn balls for more than an hour this morning! ![]()

Oh my gosh!! locarbgirl I love rum balls!!! Such a wierd texture... I worked in a couple of really good bakeries while I was a kid ...I know they made them with stale cake (I guess the rum revived it) and they rolled them in chocolate sprinkles and put a dollop of rasberrry jam on top surrounded by white buttercream to hold the jam in...Now, I can't get rum balls out of my head...
I haven't had them in years... Rum cake too, of course...if made well...:yummy |

That doesn't sound like the rum balls I've eaten Granny. The ones I had were dates or something...easy to refrain from!

Oh you guys! You're cracking me up! My rumballs aren't THAT fun! I admit to have tried using more rum, but they are too sticky to roll properly. Sampling, sipping, and sticky rolling don't go together!

While shopping I finally found the hot coco mix that some of you have posted that has only 25 calories.
My box read 60 calories. Hummm. So anxious to try. Mixed one cup up today....grown. I couldn't drink it, to gross diet taste. No sugar mix really is good I think. So now I know! I'm happy to log 60 cal for coco. Just saying , or warning. Smile |

Personally I love Maxwell House's cafe international, sugar free. 25 calories and it tastes yummy to me. But I've never minded the taste of sugar free drinks. |

Hi all -- just introduced myself on the newbee thread so thought I would check in here. I've read the whole Dec chat thread and I must totally agree that you all are the most supportive folks I've come across in a looong time.
I'm on my second DD and have lost .4 lbs And so far, so easy. I'm going to spend lots of time reading all the threads.Arlene |
