Totally how I feel
So strange that we have never "met". I feel like you all know me well and that I know you all so well.

The Christmas Tree Shoppe is like a Marshall's or TJ Maxx in that most things are brand name products that other stores probably had too much of and needed to get rid of. Some stuff is no-name, but most is brands you see in other stores. They have a lot of house wares, food products, toiletries, gift wrap, decorations, small furniture, etc, but not clothing or shoes.

I just wanted to say Cindy that you make this site a wonderfully loving and caring place to come to! Right from the time a new JUDDD poster arrives all the way through their journey and even through the ups and downs of maintenance you are right here with a kind word and a pat on the back and a big dose of encouragement. Just had to say Thanks!
Also a big thanks to all the newer JUDDD buds too as you are all just great! Just had it on my how much you do here Cindy.

Coming back and see all the love still flowing here. You all do support on a whole other level than just woe. It will take a while to catch up on all I've missed but looking forward to seeing you all again.

On my second DD and feeling fine.

Yikes! Just an hour ago got some really bad news, panicked, ate 600cal worth of fat bombs (3) before I realized what I was doing. My DD is ending up around 1012 total. Guess I still grab food for comfort. Well, the calories are still low enough to be a decent "diet day" and I did not grab any carby thing so still good there. Not going to sweat it. Tomorrow will be a good UD.

I want to chime in today and say how wonderful it is to come here and just read all the love and support and bask in it.

Even when I'm away for a while, I can come back here and really feel "at home."

Today I'm trying to stay connected and tuned in to keep myself really motivated. I still have my most recent vacay weight to get rid of before at least maintaining at my stats over Christmas.

Thank you all for being here for me and for each other. What a great group! Can't say that enough!

I heard from the surgeon regarding my procedure. Mixed I guess. He could not really see what is causing the pain and the next test would be very painful and one I've gone through twice before for other pesky nerve damage issues, so i declined the nerve test, but accepted the prescription for Meloxicam... Ho hum, just told Dawn in her thread that I had been off that since my surgery... I guess I spoke a bit too soon. I don't mind it and it's far less 'extreme' then other meds I'm on or have been on. He wants me on 15 mgs, but agreed that I can start with 7.5. I didn't pick it up yet since today is a DD and I should probably start it on a day I will be eating. So no real answers, but NO BAD NEWS!

So sorry to hear they couldn't pinpoint exactly what is causing the pain, Carly. On the other hand, I am very happy to hear there was no bad news!

Ugh, Carly, I'm sorry...I was hoping you'd have some news that would be helpful. (although not bad news, either!) Hugs to you!

Cici, hugs to you, too. Bad news is never easy to hear & I tend to go straight for the chocolate at such times. I hope tomorrow is better!

Cici, I'm sorry about your bad news, and hope everything will be alright.

Carly, I don't blame you for declining that painful nerve test. I guess it's kind of good and bad news that they can't see anything to cause the pain. Good because we don't want anything to be wrong, but bad because obviously something IS causing it, but what? Hope the new meds help.

Nothing is really changed except my perception of reality. Just the shock had me for a bit. I am fine and will continue to live and work in the present because it is all any of us really have. It is nice to have this weight loss issue to take my mind off other things. Sorry, I can't share more. This just isn't the right place.

Carly, I hope you get some relief. My father is a chronic pain patient and it has been a tough road for him. I sympathize with anybody that has to travel it.

Sorry it wasn't definitive. Since mine ended up not being arthritis, I'm not taking the Meloxicam. It's just taking up space in my medicine cabinet. I swear I'm a walking pharmacy these days.

I had good news on the scale this morning, too. It's going down more slowly than it usually does, but so far as of this morning I'm down -5.2 pounds since I got back from the last vacation with still some to go before I'm back at my stats. I probably deleted the SIRT1 genes with all my misbehavior food wise. Sure was fun, though! lol!

I thought about it and decided not to change my stats back up because that just seems to discourage me. And, most of the time vacation weight has a lot of water retention involved.

Really, it's only been two good DD and two good UD rotations that took it off so far.

Now, to not go wild tomorrow night at the Christmas party and have a bounce up again. I can't take that right now!

I never really got rid of all the vacay weight from the 6 weeks of travel before I turned around and had the Sacramento River trip and then Thanksgiving holiday on top of that.

I've got 10 more to go before I'm back to my stats!!! Am I crazy to think I can do it in a week or two?

Thanks...well I have to think about what to tell my Dear Dr. next week..he has been wonderful to me, but he doesn't understand losing weight...he wanted me to have a little cup of yogurt for breakfast..similar at lunch , and a frozen diet dinner...well..that has never worked for me, and also I believe it was starving like that, that caused my metabolism to die out...so..what do I tell him when Im down about 8 pounds from last month?..haha..it's a problem that I don't mind having..think I will just tell him that I found a good place to get help and support...later on ..I'll tell him the rest of the story when I've lost enough to make a believer out of him...that starving doesn't work..
