Carly, finally getting here today and hope you are resting by now.

I have been thinking about you today. Like Nancy, thought of you this AM and have sent prayers up for you, and for all our budds going through any physical hardships right now.

Love and care about you all. Will keep you in my

Hope everyone had a good DD or UD! I have a question for you...
How far up can you safely take an UD without it being a big mess? I've seen where people play with the DD numbers as needed at times, but haven't seen UP cushions.
So, for example, if my calories on UD should be 1500, is there any room to go over if you need it a day and then lower your number on the next DD?
Sorry if it doesn't make sense, I'm new and that's my excuse

I am still super new and clueless, too, but I try to keep my down days as low as possible and figure I have a little more wiggle room on up days that way. If not, oh well! So I just lose a little slower this time around. Losing fast didn't help me out very well before since I'm right back where I was. LOL! However, it seems like some folks around here have said they keep their DDs at the higher calorie range anyways and it doesn't seem to lessen their losses. <shrug> You got me! I'm just going to play around and see where it gets me. Hang in there!!! You'll do great!

I am certainly not advocating the way I did the plan. I have always kept my DD's very low and have had many UD's that were REALLY high. Liquid fasting after an UUAAD worked well too.

Know I didn't take it wrong... I have a warped mind like that... my little inner voice has a bad attitude like that

My co-worker teases me that I have an over-developed super-ego (therapist joke) but she doesn't know about the warped inner voice that thinks like that

DW will take me over to the hospital in an hour and I'm OK- pretty calm and not worried. I've never had this specific procedure but I've had others that have been on the less desirable spectrum and I asked both doctors if this would be as bad as the discography and they both said no- so that is good!

Some people do okay with the occassional high UD. I wouldn't advocate it very often, and I wouldn't recommend taking away from your DD to get more on your UD. It doesn't work well for me, personally, though we're each different. It may just work for you if you're willing to experiment.

Hi all, just to let you know hubbies results dont seem to be good..he will have an op early Jan and consultant is almost positive its cancer. Hubby says he feels fine but I think a lot of that is for my benefit.
Just cant believe this year, me diagnosed with bone cancer in March, his Mum with bladder cancer in June and now him in Dec. I know like mine its not the worst one to get but its just been too much this year. Roll on 2013, it cant be as bad as 2012.xx

I am hoping that 2013 will be a rather better year for the all of us here and the rest of the world too. It hasn't been the best, has it?

However, it has been the year that JUDDD and I became true friends. I started this at the end of October 2011 and it was after Xmas and New Year, followed by a winter holiday in Austria, that I really began to believe that this was the answer for me.

I have had a wonderful JUDDD year. I have so loved getting comfortable with eating all kinds of food once more. I have loved buying skinny jeans (thanks JBs for giving me the confidence to wear these at my age). I have loved enjoying all the compliments I have received. I have sooooo loved getting to know all my wonderful JUDDD BUDDDs here on LCF.

I am now looking forward to beginning the preparation of my family recipes for the second year of JUDDD Holidays.

I have been so thankful to this wonderful forum for all the advice and support it has given me. I will be JUDDDing for the rest of my life.

You are so right, Cindy, this has been a good year in retrospect...meeting all the JB's here and finally finding a woe that will be a lifetime habit. Sending good vibes to all that need them, and hugs to all as we all need all the hugs we can get.

As for the eyes...it's a two steps forward, one step back...still not getting new glasses as the eyes are still adjusting...slowly it seems. Like the doc says, there's only a slim chance of problems with cataract surgery unless you're the victim of that slim chance...then it's a major problem. Good news, tho', he stopped a couple of the meds including the pills which I think were causing the main problem with the balance and indigestion..and the ointment that went in at night which also needed the eye patch. So, I'm looking forward to having a bit of better sleep, now. The bleeding in the back of the eye is no worse, but still not good enough for treatment. And now I have two weeks until my next appointment...I feel like I've a real vacation in front of me...of course that means no new glasses until next month....grrrr!!! Sure would be nice to have clear vision and be able to drive...oh well.

Hope you all had a great day and good things come your way...
