Hi my dear friends, I am back at my laptop with a decent broadband connection. Yay.

Well 3 days of serious eating with 9 adults and 3 littlies and I loved it all. Ham on Xmas Eve, Goose stuffed with chicken, stuffed with pheasants on Xmas Day, finally a beautiful roast Beef with yorkshire pudding last night. And dessert and cheese most days, along with lunches, cake and alcohol.

I am really loving my DD today and have no intention of facing the scales for a few more days.

But all my pants still fit and I feel great, no carb headaches and no guilt!

Love that JUDDD calm.

Enjoy your planned dinner LCG.

Sara I am so sorry you are sick, this is the first Xmas in forever where none of us was sick. Be well soon.

Sara, so sorry you and DH are sick. It sounds miserable. Take good care, and don't stress the calories too much!

Cindy, it's good to see you back. I'm glad you had such a wonderful time. Your eats sound delicious.

Sara, I can commiserate...DD and I got the plague Christmas Day, and we're really not sure what it is. She and I wound up sleeping (or vomiting) for the better part of two days, curled up with terrible body aches. I feel like I got hit by a bus...total exhaustion.

I'm not going to worry if my planned DD goes a little high, I'm going to do what feels right for my body today (straight liquids/broth...or ?). Tomorrow, if she and I are up to eating 'normal' food, I'll finally make the ham that was meant for Christmas.

Oh no! So many buds and families are sick!
Feel better everyone! I hope this is the last illness for a while.
I have never been so healthy in all my life since JUDDDing.
I don't think I've had a cold or anything since my first week of rotations.
Maybe it's another peice of JUDDD magic!

Cindy... A goose stuffed with a chicken, stuffed with a hen?!? OMG! That sounds like some meal! one must have to bake that for hours. Does a chicken actually fit in a goose... you have to excuse me, but I'm very visual and am trying to picture this

I can't wait for the New Year. I feel like it's gonna be a great one and I believe that this year will be the last with "lose weight" on my resolution list. Happily this year it is less than 20 pounds! Last year it was nearly 90lb!

Carly, that must feel AMAZING! You're so close to goal, and you'll be there so soon! EXCITING!

I'm hoping to be at goal by the end of 2013. I don't think it's too unrealistic - 95 pounds in 12 months. But you never know where those stalls sneak up. If I'm as close to my goal next NY as you are this, I'll be a very happy girl.

I totally think that this time next year you will be at goal or really close if you keep working it!

I have noticed the last few days that the number of weightloss commercials have increase 10 fold! In one hour of TV I saw commercials for WW, Nutisystem, Jenny Craig and 4 different weight loss pills or supplements! I felt so helpless at this time last year regarding my weight and a few other life stressors- what a diffence a year makes!

That's an understatement!!! You have proven what a difference it makes!

I know what you're talking about, i.e., the weightloss commercials, etc. January is always when the fitness centers make the most money. Everyone wants to start off the new year "right". Most sign up for a year and keep paying their money, but don't go, lol.

Awww, Sara. I went through a week of this. You would think it would curb the appetite, lol, but I also had to change my rotations because I was just hungry! Feel better and do what your body tells you.

Rayne, I am so sorry you have been so ill, hope you get to eat that ham soon. Like Carly I am in the rudest of health these days.

Carly, the goose, chicken and pheasant are all boned then tied up to form one 'three bird roast'. Takes the normal sort of time to roast, just done by weight. Truly delicious though.

LCG we are all confident that you will be at our very near goal by this time next year. JUDDD works and we are all here supporting each other in our special JUDDD way.

Exactly! So good.

So enjoyed yesterday's DD and today is still very low too. I am doing a potato day and it is hard to eat many, lol. Don't think that it will do me any harm to eat under my calories.

I got my Dr J's book back from a long loan. I am enjoying rereading it.

Hard to believe that after today there will only be 3 days left in 2012. It doesn't seem possible - it went so fast.

We're expecting snow here over night and through tomorrow. They keep increasing their estimate. Now, up to 4" - 6". I like a little, but not too much. The older I get, the less I like cold, snowy weather. But I don't have much to say about it!!

ok so I am just making a what the crap post on here......seriously did really good watching what I ate the whole christmas holiday. I skipped on bread and cookies and that kind of stuff. I did eat some chocolates but they are SF russel stouffers and well you know you cant eat to many of those without paying for it. But the scale is still stuck at 173! I know I was taking alkaseltzer for a head cold and that bloats me, but I havent had it in a few days. But the scale is not going down, even with all the water I was drinking. Maybe its because I havent been able to run in like 3 wks. Its been raining, snowing, freezing rain or I havent been getting home from work til almost 7pm so its been to dark. I dont know.........its annoying, and a kick to the ego to starve myself every other day and see the scale go up and up!! I know it will work itself out, but in the mean time....I will be a miserable me!

I am so sorry Katiebubb. I ate whatever and whenever over Christmas and after two DD's I am back to my maintenance weight so I have no idea why you are going in the opposite direction. And I don't exercise.
It looks like you gained 14 pounds?? I know that can be devastating but don't jump ship yet. I was actaully expecting a gain of WAY more than I bounced up so am thrilled to be back to normal so quuickly.
I am doing the potato hack on DD's. Have you tried that??
