Hi gang, one of the Maintainers who are going into WLM for this month. I have been seeing 128 too often in November.

My goal is to see 126 or under for most of the month. After my first Potato DD yesterday I weighed in at :

PDD = Potaoto Down Day, 300 cals

Dec 1 UD : 126
Dec 2 PDD : 128.2
Dec 3 UD : 126.4
Dec 4 PDD : 128
Dec 5 UD : 126.6
Dec 6 DD : 127.8 That was interesting I had 3 glasses of wine and one potato... not the way to get your 5 a day.
Dec 7 UD : 125 Different scales they always weigh a little lower.
Dec 8 PDD : 126
Dec 9 UD : 125

12/1 MD 157.5 Ended up being a MD, after a spur of the moment supper out. Fazolis has 400 calorie pasta entrees so it worked out ok

12/4 PD 158 Doing the potato hack for the next four days, so hopefully that will get me back on track!

01/12 - D - 136.4 - Had a sudden desperate desire for crisps (potato chips) last night. Turned a perfect UD into a last-minute UUAD
02/12 - U - 136.2 - Wedding anniversary yesterday. Wasn't hungry, so managed an excellent DD but then had some wine - and then had some more!
03/12 - D - 135.8 - Trying a PDD today.
04/12 - U - 133.8 - New low. Hooray for potatoes!!
05/12 - D - 135.6 - So much for potatoes. Trying again today though.
06/12 - U - 134
07/12 - D - 135.6 - Not very impressed with these big potato bounces!
08/12 - U - 133.8 - Hmmm, maybe there's something in my new wine and cheese hack! (Your mileage may definitely vary!!!!)
09/12 - D - 135.8 - Bouncing is fine but this is getting boring!

I'm new (well.. not new.. i guess i could say 'back' but i never really posted before so... lol) and jumping in! I've decided my body really, really likes JUDDD. I'm mad I ever stopped, as my metabolism has been pretty messed up by all the things I've done. Hope I can join in on the fun!

So.. Starting weight! : 190.2 Goal for December: 179 (back into just overweight)

12/05 - DD - 190.2
12/06 - UD - 188.2
12/07 - DD - 187.6
12/08 - UD - 186.2
12/09 - DD - 186.8

Looking forward to today's DD, have been feeling 'too full' on my UDs, uncomfortably so, to try and get my calories. I've been making healthier food choices and therefor have to eat more. Maybe I need to change to higher calories foods? Juddd is amazing! Who SAYS that on a diet!!! Lol

Plan for month to get back to my low of 223 and then maintain for the month. Maintain for the month however so far has meant have an UD every day so far - so maintaining is not happening! Doing a bit better...

I am happy to have lost 60 pounds this year but realy need to not go backwards! I will get back to weight loss in the new year. I will keep up my new exercise regime though so I don't feel like I am slipping back into my old ways!

12/01 - 224 UD (after a DD that turned into at best a MD)
12/02 - 227 UD
12/03 - 226.5 UD (dinner out for work!)
12/07 - 231 DD (Dinner out for work / pleasure twice this week)
12/08 - 227 UD

Ideal world goal: BMI less than 40 by the end of the year (225). December fun back-up goal (anniversary, Christmas, parties, travel, oh my!): maintain. Or anything in between. My plan is to make the days when I don't have events really good ones and add extra exercise.

12/1 - MD - 233.3 - challenge #1 ... DH's work Christmas dinner party on DD. I don't think the food will be special enough to change rotations, so plan is to fast until then and choose wisely.
12/2 - UD - 232.6
12/3 - DD - 233.1 - been a little loosy goosy lately ... committing to a great DD today!
12/4 - UD - 231.5

Oh! LG, the scale going the wrong direction in no way means you (or JUDDD) are a failure. Have you seen Carly's post about this?
The daily bounce doesn't rock my world (anymore)

Also, did you see this post by Rayne about someone who, while following Atkins and not JUDDD, still hung in there when the scale was not her friend: Impatience Killed The Cat .. or Why To Stop Obsessing and Tweaking ...

If you look at the daily weights there are times when the scale went the wrong direction for both Carly and the person doing Atkins. Mine do the same thing as yours have been doing this week on a regular basis. Hang in there, do your rotations as best you can, and it'll turn around. If you stick with it for a few months, you will be likely to pick up some of the "JUDDD calm" and will not be worried about this at all.

Well I am back from my hols and feel like I have put on loads!! DD today and will weigh in tomorrow....finished Nov at 226 so would like to get to 220 in Dec. Would love to get to 219 really but dont know how achievable that will be with Christmas!

Dec 4th after 10 ud's and 1 dd...229...quite pleased with that tbh...
Dec 5th after UD...229..maybe a little whoosh tomorrow?
Dec 6th after DD...227
Dec 7th after UD...totally forgot to WI, got to work and realised! (no brain at the mo).
Dec 8th after DD...227
Dec 9th after UD...228..hoping for a nice whoosh tomorrow!!

December goal is to get back down to my previous maintenance range of under 150 again. My start weight is higher than I hope my true weight is as I had every flavour of chips that I like last night
12/01 DD 156.0
12/02 UD 154.8 started potato hack
12/03 DD 151.8 obviously a bit of water weight gone! ate 350 cals of potatoes/no fat. PDD (Potato Down Day)
12/04 MD 151.0 worked out to approx 800 cals of potatoes, couldn't eat to UD calories due to lack of appetite.
12/05 MD 149.2 approx 800 calories
12/06 DD 148.8 350 calories, finished 5 days of eating potatoes.
12/07 UD 148.0 UUAD with NO potatoes and a party!
12/08 DD 150.2
12/09 UD 149.6

Was down in the 160's in November... But popped back up to 170.2 today.
Goal for December is to get into the low 160's and never see 170 again!

12/1: 170.2 TOM (UD). Bleh... Unhappy to be back @ 170
12/2: DNW TOM (DD)
12/3: DNW TOM (UD) I have been bad... I will get back on board after TOM
12/4: DNW TOM (DD) will start back weighing tomorrow...
12/5: 172.0 TOM (UD) so much for going down... Had a bad day but a good DD
12/6: 169.0 TOM (DD) better
12/7: DNW (UD) crazy day!!!
12/8: DNW (DD) another crazy day...
12/9: 170.0 (UD) errrrr...

The daily bounce doesn't rock my world (anymore)

If you look at the daily weights there are times when the scale went the wrong direction for both Carly and the person doing Atkins. Mine do the same thing as yours have been doing this week on a regular basis. Hang in there, do your rotations as best you can, and it'll turn around. If you stick with it for a few months, you will be likely to pick up some of the "JUDDD calm" and will not be worried about this at all.
I've read both of those, and they are wise. I agree with it too, but it seems like it would be easier to be calm and not worry about bouncing if you'd had a little success already, lol. When you are going back to where you started, it's not so easy to think, it's just a bounce. I'm only venting. I won't stop trying.
