STARTED JUDDD RECENTLY

Hey everyone! My bestie started JUDDD in August... when she first told me about it, let's just say that I wasn't really keen about it. I didn't think I can last a whole day with only 500 calories! But then, as the months progressed, I actually saw that she was losing weight!!!

Let me be up front, I was always overweight. I always wanted to fit into those skimpy clothes back in high school to be part of the popular crowd. I always wanted to have a great body so I can look good when attending the university parties. I always wanted to look good in lingere for my boyfriend. It was really hard being fat! Not that anyone said anything to me about it, but I felt that I just didn't fit in...

So last year, I went on the Dr. Brown's No Carbs diet... it worked! I lost a lot of weight... but guess what? Right when I stopped the diet, I gained it all back and more! I got back to my old fat self again

That's when I realized I should do a diet where I can actually maintain my weight in the long run... so I told my bestie I'll give JUDDD a try. I figured that JUDDD was something that I keep doing forever.

And I started JUDDD on October 14, 2012. I started at 189.9 pounds. Yes, there was a phase from then till today where I was in depression, and pigged out for about two weeks... and yes, there were those days where I ignored my down days because I just didn't care... and ofcourse, there were days where the food was too good to not pig out! But hey, despite all this... today I'm at 174.6 pounds, and it is November 29th, 2012. So, in 49 days, I lost 15.3 pounds!!!

Today, I decided that I need to keep this going in a more serious manner. Now that I know it works for me, I want to take it a step ahead. So I decided to start blogging my weight loss journey.

I'M NOT GOING TO CHEAT ANYMORE! I'M ON MY WAY TO MY GOAL, AND I SHOULD KEEP GOING IN A STRAIGHT LINE SO THAT I REACH MY GOAL! I KNOW THAT I CAN DO IT! I CAN BE ONE OF THOSE GIRLS WHO LOOK GOOD IN A REVEALING OUTFIT! I KNOW I CAN DO IT!

STARTED: 189.9lbs on October 14th, 2012
CURRENTLY: 174.6lbs on November 29th, 2012

What a great accomplishment, congratulations on your amazing loss while all those things seemed against you. Yes, JUDDD is an amazing way to maintain as much as to lose weight.

Glad to see you here!

Your post is truely inspiring - I love how you've accepted that you have to step outside your comfort zone in order to lose weight. I love the fact that you've taken the first steps. What amazes me most about your story is the above paragraph - despite the depression, pigging out and ignoring your plan, you've kept at it enough to see weight loss! This means to me, that you fall off the horse, dust yourself off, and get right back on!! This takes a strength, which will carry your forward toward goal. . . .

Congratulations on your weight loss, you're on your way to those skinny jeans!!

This exactly!!! You have managed something that I've as yet never managed to do, despite many, many times of losing a bunch and gaining it back. You are super woman and you absolutely CAN AND WILL achieve your goals!!!

Well done!!! You (and so many others) have shown that this is a life plan. It works! You can abuse it, use it and lay it out to dry, but it will never stop working till you quit working it!

Congratulations on your great losses so far! And you know what? You don't even have to worry about the concept of "cheat" on JUDDD. One bad day does not a binge make. You just start over the next day w/o all the damage you felt on low cal or low carb or low whatever! You can do this!

Wow... I started blogging yesterday about my weight loss yesterday... the first blog ever in my life. I'm amazed at all the replies I got! Thanks for the support everyone! Now, I'm even more motivated to continue on with JUDDD.

Yes, my goal is to reach 130 pounds... which is about 50 pounds away But right now, I'm focusing on getting into the 160s range... I'm at 174.6 pounds, so I'm about 5 pounds away. And then I'm going to aim for the 150s... which will be like a DREAM! All my life, I was never in the 150s, so the day I see that number on my scale, I'LL BE THE HAPPIEST PERSON ALIVE!

Quick question though... what I want to lose the most are my arms and legs... I have big arms and legs... I know that they will shrink as my overall weight decreases, but what sorts of workouts should I do to target these two areas? As with my arm, I have a cervical spine disorder... meaning I'm not supposed to strain them... that means no free weights or machine weights with my arms.

Today is my down day... which is But hey, that means tomorrow morning, my scale will show lower numbers AND I CAN EAT TOMMOROW

WTG Weightloss! I love your story! You'd probably better check with a personal trainer to determine the correct exercises for you. They are trained to work around physical issues and make you the strongest, firmest and BEST you can be! Please continue to let us know your progress! I am new at JUDD- so reading this really motivates me as well!!

and congrats on losing over 15# in 49 days! That is awesome!

On the exercise, some swear that cardio is the only way to drop inches where others are convinced weight training and resistance exercises are the only way to go.

You will probably have to experiment and find out what works best for you.

I'm not a good one to advise on exercise as I've been lazy for months! I know I feel better and more toned when I do regular cardio and resistance training, but I just have not been making the time for it.

Hopefully I'll get my rear in gear again one day soon.

KUTGW!! Sounds like you have the resolve to get the weight off and keep it off with JUDD.

Exercise is very difficult for me as well. I have a severe and progressed/progressing degenerative spine disease. I had 5 levels fused by the time I was 32. I have been successful with losing, but my arms, thighs and stomach are flabby! I mean serious extra skin-about twice as much skin on my upper arms and thighs than is required at this point . My physical limitation will probably prevent the type of exercise required to make a noticable difference. If your financially able I would look into a trainer or physical therapist who can recommend safe but effective exercises. From what I can tell it would be best to exercise from the start of weight loss rather than having a lot of excess flab to deal with later on.

Thank you for your thoughts everyone! I guess I'll start some toning exercises soon, because I don't want to have to deal with the excess fat after.

Another question... sometimes on my DDs, my heart beat gets faster... is this normal?

Btw, December has started! Yes, it's that time of the year where we all gain 5-10lbs... but let's stick to JUDDD... let's not gain the weight this year! Let's keep motivated... because in the end, all our goals are the same... WEIGHT LOSS!
